    Abstract: An exercise device comprises a frame having a seat mounted thereon and a pair of handlebars extending rearwardly from and pivotally attached to the frame at a point forward of the seat, each of the handlebars being individually moveable back and forth by the arms of a user of the device. A foot pedal is rigidly attached to and extends rearwardly from each of the handlebars, each foot pedal being individually moveable down and up by the legs of a user of the device. A weight platform is rigidly attached to each of the handlebars for supporting individual weights, the weight platform extending forwardly of the pivot point. The weight platform is raised and lowered in an arc around the pivot point upon back and forth movement of the handlebars.

    Abstract: A device for automatically shearing hooves from a carcass continuously moving along an overhead rail including a frame horizontally slidable on a base and a shearing assembly vertically slidable on the frame. Drivers are provided to move the shearing assembly to the proper position relative to the hooves on an approaching carcass and to move a blade on the shearing assembly from the open to the closed position. The positioning drivers are controlled by sensors that detect the horizontal and vertical location of the approaching hooves. A pass-through shearing region defined by the shearing assembly preferably accommodates two hooves simultaneously and guides are provided to sweep the shearing region and direct the hooves into the path of the blade. The blade driver is actuated responsive to a signal from a carcass position sensor indicating the presence of a hoof in the shearing region. Multiple safety interlocks are provided.

In one embodiment, the clip connector is T-shaped with outwardly extending arms and engages the channel via a slit which vertically bisects the channel into opposed halves.     Abstract: A roofing system incorporates a fire resistant asphalt composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer modified bitumen, a filler, a brominated diphenyl ether, antimony oxide, and zinc borate. The asphalt composition is utilized with and impregnated into at least one layer of fiberglass or polyester mat. Preferably at least two layers are utilized wherein an upper layer is a fiberglass mat and a lower layer is a polyester mat, both mat layers being impregnated with the composition. In its preferred formulation, the asphalt composition comprises, in weight percent, about 30% to 90% bitumen, about 4% to 16% styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer, about 10% to 40% filler, and up to about 20% each of the brominated diphenyl ether, the antimony oxide, and the zinc borate. The preferred brominated diphenyl ether is decabromodiphenyl ether.

The hub has at least one weight formed into the hub and offset from its center of gravity for balancing and reducing vibration of the engine during operation. A plurality of magnets or other magnetically responsive elements are provided in openings in a flange extending around the periphery of the hub. A stationary sensor is mounted adjacent the hub for detecting impulses from the magnetically responsive elements as the hub rotates and utilizing the impulses to trigger the ignition system.

The organic resin may be any thermoplastic or thermosetting resin suitable for coating the reflective and other metallic layers of the mirror. Exemplary resins include alkyd resins, acrylic resins, modified alkyd resins, polyesters, urethane oils, vinyl halide polymers or copolymers, oleoresinous varnishes, nitrocellulose compositions, phenol-formaldehyde resin varnishes, and epoxy resins. Preferably, the resin is an alkyd or modified alkyd resin. The dicyandiamide or metal or acid salt or dicyandiamide may be present in an amount from about 0.1 to 20 weight percent, preferably 0.5 to 10 weight percent, of the organic resin coating system. The resin system should be essentially free of lead and lead salts.

    Abstract: A method of affixing a plurality of tubes having oval ends into a plurality of corresponding oval openings of equal circumference in the header wall of a heat exchanger. The minor diameter of the tube ends is greater than the minor diameter of the header openings and the major diameter of the tube ends is less than the major diameter of the header openings. The tube ends are inserted into corresponding openings in the header wall whereupon the minor diameter of the tube ends is reduced and the major diameter of the tube ends is increased to create a substantially fully contacting fit around the circumference with said header openings. Ends of the tubes are welded to corresponding collar openings in the header wall to form a plurality of tube-to-header joints. Flux is applied to the air-facing side of the tube-to-header joints, and molten solder is applied to the opposite liquid-facing side and flowed into any voids in the welded joints to substantially seal the joints against leakage of liquid.

    Abstract: A hand tool having upper and lower jaws with a pair of complimentary solid die surfaces for contacting and compressing substantially the entire periphery of a cable connector sleeve. A plurality of plate-like intermeshing teeth and slots extend away from a pivot pin for the jaws in planes substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pivot pin and the connector and form a U shaped opening adjacent a die surface on each of the jaws for receiving and enclosing the connector as it is compressed. At least some portions of the teeth and slots remain intermeshed as the jaws move to the opened position. The meshing slots and teeth have facing ends spaced from one another except for portions thereof contacting each other to limit closure of the jaws as the die surfaces close and compress and crimp to connector to a desired degree onto said cable. The portions of the ends of the meshing slots and teeth contacting each other are adjacent to the die surfaces.

A force control mechanism, which may be a cam with a properly shaped cam surface or a link hinged at either end, receives the counterbalance force from the torque rod arm and applies it in a controlled direction over a controlled effective moment arm relative to the first axis to generate the desired counterbalance torque.

The sheet has a handle at each of the end edges and zippers along each of the side edges. The sheet is adapted to be folded in half along a line between the side edges such that the side and end edges are superimposed and the side edges zipped up to form an open top tote bag which may be carried by the handles. The sheet is further adapted to be unzipped, unfolded and spread on a beach surface and the anchors buried below the beach surface to secure the sheet. The anchor pad is releasably secured to the strap by a snap fastener, and the snap fasteners on adjacent straps at the end edges may be further fastened to each other to form the handles.
