Abstract: An artificial fingernail is molded with an inlay on its top surface. In a preferred embodiment, the fingernail is colored to simulate the style of a French fingernail, with lighter colored cuticle and tip end portions and a darker color central portion. According to the invention, a fingernail-shaped base member is molded of a first, lighter color, preferably translucent, and an inlay of a second, darker color, preferably opaque, is molded into a top surface of the base member to produce areas of different color resulting in the desired fingernail style. Secure attachment of the inlay to the base member is insured by provision of a mechanical lock between the base member and the inlay.

Abstract: A level indicator attachment for a power hand tool to indicate the angle of inclination of the tool for making cuts at a predetermined angle. In a preferred embodiment, the level indicator comprises a circular bubble level adjustably positioned in a housing and frame mounted to the tool by use of preexisting fasteners used in assembly of the tool. Adjustment of the bubble level in the housing enables the level indicator to be calibrated or adjusted for different angle cuts. The invention is particularly suitable for use in cutting plumb cuts on rafter tails during construction of a building.

Abstract: A decorative hair styling and retaining accessory for holding the wearer's hair in place. The accessory includes at least one elastic member concealed within a decorative cover, and a comb attached at each end of the elastic member for attaching the accessory to the wearer's hair. The cover may be provided with a variety of decorative themes, and the combs are readily removable from the elastic member to enable the cover to be cleaned.

Abstract: An infant-feeding nipple and an infant-feeding nipple system in which the nipple may be used conventionally on a baby bottle or used in conjunction with an elongate conduit connected between the nipple and a container holding liquid to be drunk by the infant. The nipple has a radially enlarged flange on its base end, with a rigid safety ring insert which prevents the flange from being pulled from beneath the cap holding the nipple to a bottle, and which prevents the nipple from being swallowed by an infant when the nipple is detached from a container. In one form of the invention, the nipple has a flexible transverse wall across its base end, with a central opening therethrough for receiving one end of an elongate conduit whose other end may be extended into a container of liquid to be drunk by the infant. Different diameter conduits may be connected to the nipple.

Abstract: Protective headgear with adjustable strap system and chin guard includes a first strap secured at its opposite ends to opposite sides of the headgear and adapted to extend downwardly therefrom to beneath the jaw of a person wearing the headgear, and a second strap secured at its opposite ends to opposite rear portions of the headgear and adapted to extend forwardly to and in front of the chin of a person wearing the headgear. The first and second straps are connected with first and second coupling members, respectively, at opposite sides of the strap system, connecting the first and second straps together where they intersect. The coupling members are fixed relative to the first strap and are slidable along the second strap, and one of the coupling members includes a quick-disconnect fitting to enable the first strap to be disconnected between its ends to enable the helmet to be quickly and easily applied to and removed from the head of a person using the headgear.
