Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting properties or alterations in at least one semitransparent layer of a body of a tooth by applying light escaping from at least one light guide via the front thereof to the body, as well as for recording at least one area of the body by means of a camera and subsequently assessing the image determined by the sensor. In order to be able to detect alterations or properties with high accuracy and a high image quality, it is proposed to place the front of the light guide on the body in order to subject the body to the light of the light guide.
Abstract: An apparatus for connecting and cutting tubular cores (1) for supporting rolls of wound material comprising a loading station (80), comprising a rolling cradle consisting of two parallel and horizontal rollers (10 and 11), a star-shaped driven supplier (4), having, for example, four continuous protrusions (2) that allow to load tubular cores of different lengths. The rollers (10 and 11) of the rolling cradle are arranged along a longitudinal direction (16). The apparatus comprises a pusher (5) that acts against a rear end of the core (1), once it has been loaded on the rolling cradle (10, 11), in order to bring a front end of a loaded core in a connecting station (60) where it is present the rear end of a core portion to connect, loaded previously. The pusher (5) comprises an approaching element (9) with vertical idle rollers (7 and 8).

Abstract: An apparatus (1) for detecting mechanical features of materials, in particular metal materials, comprising an indenter (10) adapted to be pushed against a sample material (15) in which it penetrates for a depth (h) and responsive to the hardness of the materials same. The apparatus (1) provides means for generating a measured force (F) and a transmission gear (35) which changes the rotational motion of shaft (40) of motor (30) into a linear reversible movement. The force generated is then amplified in a hydraulic way and transmitted to the indenter (10). This solution allows to lighten and to reduce the size of the mechanisms for generating the force, reducing also wear and mechanical backlash, as well as costs and overall dimensions. An advantage is also to measure with precision the stroke of the indenter with corresponding control in precision of the penetration (h) of the indenter in the sample material.
Abstract: A method for determining the color perception of multi-layer dispersive materials or biological materials for layer thicknesses that are respectively selective, by the determination of the diffuse reflectance based on the respective intrinsic optical parameter using Monte Carlo simulations and taking into consideration the measurement geometries, anisotropy and the dispersion phase function in order to correctly take into account the multiple internal dispersion of the material. The color effect is calculated from the diffuse reflectance based on the various color systems in accordance with different algorithms.

Abstract: An underwater hunting gun of the crossbow type uses push-rods for tensioning elastic links, the push-rods being placed laterally on a moving headpiece activated by a lever-operated arming system. The elastic links run freely around the push-rods such that front ends of the elastic links are permanently and preferably fixed to the base and rear ends are fixed under no tension in a slot of a bolt or arrow. The sliding of the moving headpiece in the forward bolt-support segment intensifies the drawing of the elastic links from the back forwards over and under the push-rods, thus optimizing, at the time of firing, the range of the bolt without recoil of the crossbow through the fact that the bolt is expelled in the manner of a whiplash. The crossbow incorporates a power regulator and an arrow rail offering stealthy firing suited to the range to the target.
Abstract: Rail expansion device having stock and tongue rails which can be displaced longitudinally with respect to one another and bear against one another transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the rails under the application of force, wherein a holder releasably holds the tongue rail at a distance from the region thereof which bears against the stock rail, and wherein the tongue rail in the holder is non-positively and positively connected to a standard rail passing into it or to a section thereof or to a section of the holder having a profile which merges with that of the standard rail.
Abstract: A reactor (1) for performing biochemical processes, particularly for extraction, purification, enrichment, sedimentation, comprising a container which is provided with at least one mouth (2) which is associated with closure means (3) of the removable type, the container having internally at least one process compartment (4), adapted to accommodate a sample of biochemical material to be processed, at least one containment chamber (5) for a process agent, and at least first means for transferring the process agent from the containment chamber to the process compartment.
Abstract: A device for the complete emptying of a tube including a tube body with a tube head and a tube opening located in the head, with the device including a base body with a slot-shaped tube receptacle as well as a shaft rotatable in the base body with a holder for the crimped end of a tube, the shaft being rotatable in the base body to roll up the tube body on the shaft and the tube contents being expressible by pulling the tube body through the slot-shaped tube receptacle. In order to be able to empty any residue contained in the tube head, the design provides for a lever to be articulated on the base body, with which the tube head can be pressed against the base body for a complete emptying of the tube.
Abstract: Propulsion system for ships and other mobile marine structures, with a driving machine for running an electrical generator, which is further connected to an electrical propulsion motor with connection to a propeller or similar propulsion device. The system can be simplified in that the generator and the propulsion motor are permanently magnetized synchronous machines. The two synchronous machines have substantially the same basic construction, with approximately identical voltage characteristics with regard to frequency, and they are directly connected together with a rigid electrical connection.

The impeller is substantially disk shaped having an upper surface and a lower surface The impeller is rotatable within the casing around a rotational axis. A plurality of impeller depressions is formed in at least the lower surface of the impeller. The plurality of impeller depressions is located on at least one of the inside and the outside of a group of concavities. The plurality of impeller depressions is arranged on a circle around the rotational axis of the impeller. Abstract: The invention relates to method for producing a connecting passage node or end node which has a rectangular shape in cross section and consists of electrical conductors. The nodes are produced by compacting and subsequent welding of the conductors by means of ultrasound in a compression chamber of the ultrasound welding machine of which the height and width can be adjusted and which has a rectangular shape in cross section, wherein opposite delimitation surfaces of the compression chamber form sections of a sonotrode and an opposite counter electrode, respectively. To connect electrical conductors which are difficult to weld to an end node and/or connecting passage node, the conductors (50, 52, 54) are brought into a sleeve and, subsequently, the sleeve (62, 65) is welded with the conductors in the compression chamber to form the end node and/or connecting passage node (49) having a rectangular cross section.
