Abstract: A continuous process is described for contacting an olefins-containing feed gas stream, which has been freed of CO.sub.2 and sulfur compounds, compressed, cooled, and dried, with a solvent in an intercooled and reboiled demethanizing absorber to produce a rich solvent bottom stream containing ethylene and heavier hydrocarbons and an absorber overhead stream which is fed to a methane absorber which recovers a hydrogen product stream as overhead and produces a rich solvent stream as bottoms. When recovering up to 50% of the incoming hydrogen, this rich solvent stream from the methane absorber is fed to the demethanizing absorber, but when recovering from 20% to 100% of the incoming hydrogen, this rich solvent stream is recycled in part to the demethanizing absorber and in part is fed to a methane stripper which sends its bottoms to the methane absorber and its overhead to an auto refrigerated recovery unit which removes H.sub.2, CH.sub.4, and CO as a fuel gas product and produces an ethylene and heavier stream.

Abstract: This invention provides a stereotactic device which is adapted for placement of a medical probe in the performance of percutaneous lumbar discectomy in a human body. The stereotactic device is utilized in conjunction with a fluoroscope for alignment and placement of a trocar type probe into a herniated disc. Bubble gauges are employed to level the x-axis and y-axis of a trocar support, which orients and slidably guides the medical probe into the targeted herniated disc nucleus.
Abstract: In a method of injection-molding a thermoplastic resin wherein a weld is formed in the mold cavity by the fusion of separate resin streams, use is made of a mold provided with a resin well protruding from the molded cavity or a runner on at least one of the separate resin streams at a point between where the injected molten resin is separated into streams and the weld. The resin is poured into the resin well after the formation of the weld from the feed of the molten resin into the mold cavity to cause migration of the resin at the weld, thus forcing the resin on one side of the weld into the resin of the other side of the weld to thereby strengthen the weld.
Abstract: A coated wire is provided which comprises a wire coated with a blend of polyarylene sulfide and an ungrafted, hydrogenated conjugated diene/vinyl aromatic block copolymer which imparts improved elongation to polyarylene sulfide.

Abstract: Aqueous co-product, produced by distillation of reaction filtrate from a batch reaction for manufacturing sodium dithionite by reacting sodium formate, sodium hydroxide, and sulfur dioxide in aqueous methanol solution, is rapidly evaporated to remove about 80% of its water content, so that only the determined quantity of water remains with its determined contents of alkali metal compounds, and is utilized as an admixed component of a succeeding batch.
