  • Patent number: 7168586
Abstract: A can lid of a can provided with an easily openable opening means is disclosed wherein the can lid is equipped with a can lid which is fastened by winding tightly on the can main body and the top end opening of the can main body, a score section installed around the territory of the prearranged opening area and a tab for severing the score section. In the can lid, there is formed a protrusion protruding upward from the can lid in front of the can opening during manufacturing of the can lid, in which it is a collapsing protrusion where the protrusion elastically deforms into the can main body by depressing motion of the user and thereby enables forming of a concave section for easy insertion of the user's finger.

  • Patent number: 7147293
Abstract: The shelf as defined by a shelf grating formed of a plurality of first and second groups of wires disposed normal to each other and having ends thereof encapsulated by an injection molded, continuous open encapsulation, rim or border. Preferably, each of four border portions of the border each encapsulate substantially the entirety of one of the wires of the two groups to afford rigidity to the wire shelf. The border includes a Class “A” upper surface between peripheral outboard and inboard parting lines or lines of flash which provides a high degree of aesthetics to the shelf when viewed from above.

  • Patent number: 7144192
Abstract: A self-propelled road milling machine includes a chassis (2) housing a rotatable milling roll (4) between lateral plates (12,13) disposed orthogonal to the axis of the milling roll (4). The milling roll (4) has a base body (14) and a milling tube (10), and is driven by a drive device (6) mounted on an exterior of an input-side of the lateral plate (12) by a reduction gear unit (8). The lateral plate (13) provides for exchanging alternatively mountable milling tubes (10) of different milling widths by being easily detached. For milling near an edge, a reduction gear unit (8) is mounted on the input side, and the reduction gear unit (8) is mounted on the interior of the input-side lateral plate (12) whose outer surface (25) forms a seat for milling tube elements that can be slid thereon from a non-driven side.

  • Patent number: 7131631
Abstract: A valve actuator control device adapted to control the position of a valve actuator by means of solenoid valves, in which if the actuator position deviates from a desired position, but remains within a predetermined distance from said desired position, the control device is adapted to only return the actuator to the desired position after a delay period, thereby to increase the life span of said solenoid valves.

  • Patent number: 7121419
Abstract: The combination of a closure (110) and an in-bore fitment (201) is provided for a container. The closure (110) comprises a generally plain crown (120) with a tubular skirt (130) depending from its periphery. The tubular skirt (130) has a first weakened zone (140) defining a first tamperevident portion (150); the first weakened zone (140) is adapted to break on first opening of the container. The tubular skirt (150) has a second weakened zone (190) defining a second tamperevident portion (150). The second weakened zone (190) is protected from breakage on first opening of the container but is arranged to break if an attempt is made to remove the in-bore fitment (201) from the container.

  • Patent number: 7112972
Abstract: A method of calibrating a gauge in particular for the measurement of film thickness, uses a calibration variable to compensate for short term changes in probe tip condition, instead of a constant value. A calibration constant is based only on the dielectric constant for a coating such as lacquer, and is independent of the probe tip variable.

  • Patent number: 7112212
Abstract: A tubular anvil sleeve is defined by at least two sleeve portions pivoted to each other for movement about an axis radially outwardly offset from an axis of the tubular anvil sleeve in its closed position. A tubular graft is inserted into the tubular anvil sleeve and a projecting end portion of the graft is folded over an exterior of the tubular annular sleeve. The tubular annular sleeve and the overfolded portion of the graft is inserted into an excised end of a blood vessel after which staples are ejected in a conventional manner. The tubular annular sleeve is removed by axial motion followed by relatively pivoting the sleeve portions about the pivot axis of the sleeve portions to open the tubular annular sleeve and effect the withdrawal/removal thereof.

  • Patent number: 7080439
Abstract: A universal adjustable bed is provided to accommodate twin, twin extra long, full extra long, queen, etc. adjustable beds through a single adjustable bed mechanism which can be accommodated in beds irrespective of the differences in sizes thereof. The adjustable bed mechanism includes headboard and footboard adjusting linkage mechanisms and drive mechanisms therefor with associated head, seat, thigh and foot boards, all unitized in a single assembly which can be “drop-in” assembled to an associated bed foundation. Significantly, the support frame includes locating or connecting points which correspond in transverse distances to like support points of the bed foundation irrespective of the width of the specific bed foundation. In this manner a single universal adjustable bed mechanism can be dropped-in and connected to an appropriate bed foundation to form a bed of virtually any conventional size.

  • Patent number: 7076572
Abstract: A design of a flexible communication device capable of reducing time and labor required for changing a communication protocol and positively eliminating an erroneous operation, and interface devices for the communication device. A communication device (1) receives from a control device (2) control information corresponding to address spaces of the control device (2) for loading into a memory (7) sequentially. A command acquisition unit (8) sequentially reads control information stored in the memory (7), and sends them to individual detection units (9-1 to 9-m) via a back-end bus (12). Each detection unit detects whether or not the control information match each communication protocol module corresponding to each detection unit and sends matching control information, if any, to an own communication protocol module for communication protocol processing.
