    Abstract: A plurality of adapter embodiments connect the electrical system of a first vehicle to the electrical system of a second vehicle, such as a vehicle in tow. The adapters have particular application for mating a four-way-flat harness connector of a trailer at one end, and at other opposite end, for mating a complex round harness connector with numerous terminals. The adapters are solid unitary structures formed with a covering material. Adapter molds are provided for fabricating the adapters. The molds include a series of interchangeable, removable mold inserts received within the mold body. Depressions are formed in the removable mold inserts in a configuration corresponding approximately to the shape of the adapter. The covering material is injected into the mold to thereby form the adapters.

    Abstract: A differential drive having a differential carrier rotatably supported in a differential housing is disclosed. Two axle shaft gears are rotatably held in cylindrical bores in the differential carrier and are arranged coaxially relative to one another. A plurality of differential gears are supported in an axis-less way in bores in the differential carrier and are arranged so as to be axis-parallel. One group of the differential gears engages the one of the axle shaft gears and the other group engages the other of the axle shaft gears. At least one of the group of the differential gears engages the respective other group of the differential gears. At least the tooth heads of the differential gears are provided with grooves, with at least the bores or pockets for the differential gears in the differential carrier being provided with grooves.

Further, the torque converter includes a unique hub member having integral fingers radially extending therefrom for use in bonding hub member to a multi-bladed body such as a turbine, wherein the fingers are circumferentially spaced about an outer circumferential surface on the hub member such that the spacing between a common finger and adjacent fingers on each side thereof is not equal. Such a hub member distributes the loads and stresses onto different planes extending radially and transverse the longitudinal axis of the hub member.

    Abstract: The invention pertains to a clamping chuck consisting of a fork-like clamp jaw holder (1) to which an adjusting element (2) moving back and forth in the longitudinal extension of the clamp jaw holder (1) is provided for the relative movement of the clamp jaw supports (3, 4) with respect to each other in the clamped and open setting. According to the invention, in each leg (5) of the clamp jaw holder (1) one bearing hole (6) and four additional holes (7, 7') are mutually aligned laterally, with their centers (Z) positioned on the corners (E) of the square (Q). The two bearing holes (6) are arranged centrally on the respective connecting line (L) of the two holes (7') on the clamp jaw side and the two clamp jaw supports (3, 4) provided on the clamp jaw holder (1) have a drilled hole (6') aligned with the bearing hole (6). In this case the moving or pivoting clamp jaw support (3) has features (8) for a frictional and/or form-fit actuated connection with the adjusting element (2).

    Abstract: A water level sensor and alarm system for use with a washing machine. The water level sensor and alarm system includes a control box, a control circuit, a plurality of probes, and a washing machine unit and drain. The low level sensor and alarm system will connect directly to a washing machine and drain tub and/or drain conduit in order to monitor an overflow of water during the rinse cycle of a washing machine. If water has exceeded a certain height, and is beginning to overflow, the system will automatically cut all power to the washing machine unit and thus turn the washing machine unit off until the unit is reset after the clog in the drain has been corrected.

    Abstract: An improved combined torque limiting and part marking wrench according to the present invention includes: a torque-applying handle; a housing pivotally mounted to the handle, the housing adapted to receive a releasably mounted, replaceable, part-engaging head assembly at a second end thereof; and a part-marking mechanism mounted within the housing. The part-marking mechanism includes a marking tip which passes through a bore in the head assembly for marking a part. A mechanical linkage arm is pivotally connected to the torque-applying handle. A pivotable cam is pivotally connected to the linkage arm and in operative engagement with the part-marking mechanism for moving the marking tip through the bore, such that, when torque on a part has reached a predetermined value, the torque applying handle moves the linkage arm, which pivots the pivotable cam, thus forcing the pivotable cam against the part marking mechanism, which causes the marking tip to extend outwardly from the housing to mark the part.

    Abstract: A core ring assembly for use in production of a plastic injection-molded component is formed by injecting molten metal alloy into core dies to produce two intricately shaped ring type elements--one male, one female. Removing the male and female ring elements from the core dies and combining the two elements in an assembly machine to form a uniform, geometrically symmetrical, integral core ring assembly. The core ring assembly is transported to a plastic molding machine for overmolding the core ring assembly with either thermosetting or thermoplastic material. Then, the core assembly is melted out from the plastic component in a hot oil bath or induction melt-out, and the molten alloy recovered thereby is returned to a molten metal alloy tank for reuse.

The system controller superimposes the target speed and patrol speed data generated by the radar unit over the video signals generated by the video camera prior to being recorded on the videotape. The portable wireless microphone permits the conversation between the law enforcement and a second party to be made part of the recorded incident. A radar interface will replace the target and/or patrol speed data with error data when an error in the opeating parameters of the radar unit is detected.
