Abstract: A normally planar tongue scraper. The scraper has free ends and a central extent therebetween. The central extent has a first edge and a second edge with one of the edges having teeth formed therein. The teeth are undulating in configuration with arcuate exterior tips adapted to scrape the tongue of a user. The scraper is formed of a flexible material to allow bending along the length during use thereof. In an alternate embodiment, a support device is employed for removeably retaining the ends of the scraper with the central extent in an arcuate configuration. The support device has a handle end and forwardly projecting spaced fingers with slots therein of a size to receive the ends of the scraper.

Abstract: The invention of this application comprises a novel filter assembly including a charcoal filter and a fiberglass filter positioned within a housing. The fiberglass filter comprises a fiberglass mat mounted to a wire structure formed in an accordion-shape so as to increase the surface area of the fiberglass mat. The invention also comprises a novel sensor system for sensing when the grease filter and the filter assembly have been installed, for sensing when the filter assembly is about to require changing and for shutting down the exhaust hood when the assembly requires changing.

Abstract: A lawn mower deck assembly having a pair of similarly shaped decks. Each of the decks has rotary cutting blades for cutting grass therebeneath. Furthermore, a pivotal shaft is used to couple the decks together at their adjacent edges. The mower has wheels located adjacent to the first end of each deck and a mounting bracket located at the second end of each deck. Finally, H-links having upper and lower ends pivotally coupled to a mounting bracket and the deck allow the deck to raise and lower adjacent to the pivot axis for cutting grass on an uneven terrain.

Abstract: A device for dispensing fluid from a tube, the tube being of the type having a slot at the rear end and an apertured nozzle at the front end, the device comprising a handle with an upper support surface; a trigger pivotally secured to the handle; a fixed pressure plate secured to the support surface for receiving a tube, a rear vertical flange designed with horizontal slots acting as pivot points and a front vertical flange with an aperture for receiving a tube nozzle; a movable pressure plate having a rearwardly extending projection for engagement in the horizontal slots; and a coupling mechanism formed of a wire in an inverted U-shaped configuration with free ends coupled to the trigger and with an upper central extent positionable on the upper surface of the moveable pressure plate whereby squeezing the trigger with respect to the handle will cause the two plates to move together to compress a tube between the two plates and dispense the fluid from the tube.

Abstract: A device for training of differentiation by coordination of symbols being of numerical, alphanumeric, word and/or pictorial in character. The symbol are arranged on the front surface of a card of plastic, cardboard or metallic foil. The symbols are arranged in two sections on the front surface of the card, the symbols in one section representing "questions" and the symbols in the other section representing "answers" to such questions. Each section is defined by a graph of colored lines printed or coded on the front surface. A plurality of clamping means are color-coded to the color of the "answer" symbols and adapted to be removably fastened over the border of the card overlapping the "question" symbols.

An inverted U-shaped blade guide portion positions the blade and an upstanding saw guide portion guides the neck of the saw. A plate connects the two portions. The invention allows a bone segment to be removed and the cut ends to be compressed together to shorten the bone.

Abstract: There is disclosed a new and improved single-row, two-pass steam condensing bundle used for condensing steam in air-cooled vacuum steam condensers in power plant applications and the like. The new bundle is divided into a plurality of identically built mini-bundle sets. Each mini-bundle set has one centrally located 2nd-pass tube with symmetrically placed 1st-pass tubes positioned on either side of it. The steam leaving each 1st-pass tube is controlled by a flow equalizing device installed at the end of the tubes. The flow of the noncondensible gas mixture leaving each 2nd-pass tube is controlled by an individual orifice in the gas piping system. The larger the number of mini-bundle sets incorporated into the bundle, the greater its counterflow freeze protection feature.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing, maintaining or enhancing microorganisms utilized to remediate contaminated soil or groundwater which includes of a direct push rod or cylinder equipped with a fluid or gas delivery system. The system also includes computer-based monitoring capabilities which can monitor or control the subsurface events. Microorganisms, nutrient solutions, or gases such as air can be introduced into the subsurface environment of predetermined locations. The delivery device is a long rod or cylinder which is pushed into the ground via applied pressure at the surface. The internals of this device contain tubing or other means to deliver fluid through openings in the rod or cylinder to the surrounding environment. The fluid may be driven into the environment by surface pumps or gas pressure. The delivery rod or cylinder may be withdrawn for reutilization or left in place for continuous service.
