  • Patent number: 6535117
Abstract: An improvement to the standard highway traffic warning triangles is presented which provides greater illumination and visibility for the traffic warning triangles. The new device includes an essentially flat frame having upper and lower sections. The lower section of the frame can be attached to the upper vertical flange of the base leg of the traffic triangle. This attaching is accomplished either by the use of inwardly biased lower legs, inwardly biased staggered teeth or clips. Once the illumination frame is attached to the lower leg of the safety triangle, an illumination light unit having both strobing and flashing battery powered mechanisms can be attached to the upper section of the frame. This attachment of the light is normally by the use of magnets, but the light can also be permanently bolted to the frame or attached by other methods. The improvement draws greater attention to the traffic safety warning triangle at greater distances and can be deployed 50 feet or more from the actual hazard.

  • Patent number: 6485636
Abstract: A dual filter system for diesel fuel is provided, which allows the operator to keep the diesel engine running while inspecting or replacing one of the two fuel filters. The system includes an upper block which is divided into two identical mirror image sections. Each section has a shutoff valve, a fuel filter and a one-way check valve. Fuel is introduced into a common passageway and flows equally to each side of the upper block. Fuel is fed through each filter and filtered fuel moves through the one-way check valve to a common outport. In order to inspect or replace one filter, the fuel to the filter to be replaced is simply, shut off by the cutoff valve. All of the fuel then flows through the opposite side. The one-way check valves prevent fuel flowing through the opposite side from flowing back into the side which is being serviced. Air bleed valves are also provided in order to put the new filter side back in operation.

  • Patent number: 6405976
Abstract: A lift and propulsion device is presented which utilizes Bournelli's Principle and the principle of relative motion to create lift. A series of discs are arranged in coaxial alignment. Each successive disc rotates in a direction opposite from the direction of rotation of the disc above it. Air is introduced at the lower outer circumferential surface of the first disc. The introduction of air at this point, as well as the relative motion of the counter-rotating surfaces between the first and second discs creates a large amount of lift. Air is introduced onto the opposite outer circumferential lower surface of the second disc, in the direction of rotation of the second disc. The introduction of this air creates a large amount of lift between Discs B and C. Each successive disc rotates in an opposite direction from the disc above it and has air interjected onto the lower circumferential surface of that disc in the direction of rotation of the disc.

  • Patent number: 6327949
Abstract: A safety device for a radial arm saw is presented. The device is readily attached to a radial arm saw by attaching it to the top of the table and the guide rail. The safety device has a three-sided, box-shaped handle part, which has a circular gripping handle between two of the sides. The handle is attached to a slide bar which slides through a carriage unit. The front face plate of the handle has a number of spring-loaded anti-kickback pins on one side. These anti-kickback pins are pushed in by the workpiece and the remaining, protruding, pins keep the workpiece against the table. The handle pivots upwardly from the slide bar. When it is desired to load a board onto the table for cutting, the handle is rotated up. Once the board is loaded the handle is rotated down and pushed forward. The front face plate holds the board against the guard rail and the anti-kickpins hold the board down. Once in that position, the saw blade can be pulled across the board, thus cutting the board.

  • Patent number: 6273425
Abstract: Fun hunt is a game with instructional clues written on colored sheets of paper in a sequence from 1 to 6, followed by a final clue and a prize sheet. Each player is given a single color at the beginning of the game. The instructional clues on each color lead a player from one clue stop to the next. The clues will lead the player to objects currently in the house or yard which are separated over a distance. Clue sheets are taped to each of these objects, with each clue giving the player instructions to the next object. A final clue has a number on it which corresponds to a number on a prize. The prizes are awarded when the player follows all of the clues to the final clue and prize table. It is helpful to assist the host in creating each player's path to have a grid outlining the path which each player is to follow. It is also helpful to draw a map of the objects to assist the host in allowing distances between the objects to enable the greatest movement of the player from clue to clue.
