  • Patent number: 4969610
Abstract: An automatic ski rope rewinding device is presented used to rewind a ski rope when the rope is not pulling a skier. The invention utilizes a standard rope or cord rewinding mechanism which is mounted by L-shaped brackets to the body of the boat. The rewinding mechanism and rope are encased by an outer, waterproof casing. A water removing gasket facilitates removal of water from a rope being rewound and a loop near the attached end of the ski rope is used to directly attach the ski rope to the boat cleat when pulling a skier.

  • Patent number: 4967447
Abstract: A new device and method for preparing bony fish for safe consumption by human beings is presented. The device comprises an endless belt which transports a fillet underneath a series of closely spaced vertical circular slicer blades. A small distance is maintained between the bottom of the slicer blades and the upper surface of the continuous belt so that the fillet is sliced into very small portions but the fillet is not severed completely. Once the fillet has been thus sliced, it may be fried for a period of time. The frying of the fillet, with the flesh of the fish and the bones sliced into very small portions, disintegrates any remaining bones so that the finished product is completely edible for human beings.

  • Patent number: 4947676
Abstract: A pneumatic sensing device is presented which automatically senses the motion of a ball falling into a can. A sensing arm protrudes into the pathway of the dropping ball. When the ball hits one end of the arm, the other end of the arm rotates upward and closes off an exhaust port, creating a back pressure in a proximity switch. The proximity switch then sends a pneumatic signal to a four-way valve that allows the now filled can to move on to the next work station. Also presented is a method of using the sensing arm which uses a regulator and indicator to display when the ball drop station has been energized but the ball has failed to drop.

  • Patent number: 4927016
Abstract: A spinner bait box and storage system is presented which enables a fisherman to conveniently store spinner baits and lures and to arrange them in specific categories. The spinner bait box is rectangular in shape and has front and back vertical side walls and end walls. On the inside of the front and back vertical walls are a number of corresponding projecting ridges which create individual spinner bait packet spaces. The individual spinner bait packets have a stiff back and a pliable clear plastic front which, when connected, form a pocket for spinner baits and lures. Each packet has a mouth at the top for easy insertion of the spinner baits. The spinner bait packets may be arranged in the packet spaces in any suitable manner and categorized by means of a tabbed index card which may also be placed in an appropriate packet space. The spinner bait box may have a hinged and latched lid and carrying handle. The spinner bait box may also be made so as to be placed inside of a conventional fishing tackle box.

  • Patent number: 4890571
Abstract: A deer scarecrow is presented which comprises a main essentially rectangular body with upper collapsable arms. At the upper part of the body is attached a simulated head which may be wrapped around and secured to a suitable limb. Upper arm streamers and lower leg streamers of brightly colored material are attached to the arms and main body. A scent-emitting device is located within a pouch sewn into the main body and a noise-making device is also located in a separate pouch on the main body. When in use, the deer scarecrow would frighten a deer's sense of smell, sight, and hearing. When not in use, the entire device rolls up into a small cylindrical compact unit. The deer scarecrow is highly portable and may be positioned such that the deer are frightened from one area and run into another area where the hunter awaits.

  • Patent number: 4876459
Abstract: An electronic switching system is presented for use by consumers. Inputs are connected to the circuit which detect which input is producing a signal. The circuit then allows that signal to pass through to be reproduced on output speakers. If both of two inputs are "on," producing two signals, the system toggles between the signals thus reproducing a toggling signal at the speakers. The system may also be adapted to accommodate three or more input signals which would then produce either one output if only one is "on" or a toggling output between those inputs that are "on.

  • Patent number: 4865295
Abstract: A self-deploying stabilizing support jack is presented which stabilizes and positions a recreational vehicle or trailer. The support jack comprises a bracket, a two-cylinder, lift arms and a stabilizing sleeve. The lift arms and cylinder are attached to the bracket at separate, offset first and second points so that when the ram of the cylinder contacts the foot of the lift arm, the entire apparatus is raised to a horizontal position. A stabilizing sleeve attached to the lift and surrounding the cylinder stabilizes the the device from lateral movement. An intermediate third pivot point in the lift arm helps reduce stress upon raising. Also provided is an automatically released pressure valve for the cylinder and a signalling device to warn the operator when the support jack is in the deployed position. A safety circuit also automatically raises any support jack that is not in the horizontal safety position should the ignition be turned to the "ON" position.

  • Patent number: 4854626
Abstract: A fish retrieving tool is presented comprising a main frame having a hollow handle, a shaft and a lower stationary jaw; an upper, pivotably attached jaw; a spring for biasing said jaws in a normally open position and a mechanism for closing the jaws when necessary. The upper jaw is biased open by a pair of flat springs. The jaws are closed by operating a lever in the hollow handle which in turn applies a compression force to the upper jaw which over comes the normally open bias of the jaws.

  • Patent number: 4833443
Abstract: A portable lightweight vehicle signal flag and warning light is presented comprising a boom which has at least one pair of opposed lenses and a slotted-block which is pivotably attached to the boom. The slotted-block slips over the vehicle window and the boom may be adjusted by tightening a transverse bolt and wing nut. Between each pair of lenses is a bulb flasher assembly which is connected to the vehicles electrical power by a cord and cigarette plug adaptor. On the the bottom of the boom is a signal flag which can display a variety of emergency or warning messages. The bulbs are made to either blink to light in a sequential fashion.

  • Patent number: 4817216
Abstract: A water-saving flushing device for a toilet tank is presented comprising a hollow casing and a rotatably attached pivot-plate secured inside said casing. A first pin pivotably secures an upper latch arm to said pivot-plate arm while a second pin pivotably secures a lower stop arm. A third pin is attached to the pivot plate. A float arm is attached to the third pin by means of a spring. The float arm rises or falls according to the water level in the toilet tank. To effectuate a partial flush, the flushing lever is pushed downward once. The travel of the flushing arm upward is limited by striking the upper latch arm. This limited path also limits the flapper valve to a partial opening only. When the mechanism is thus tripped, the latch arm rapidly recedes into the casing and a lower stop arm is forced outward to stop the downward travel of the flushing arm. As the water drains and then fills, the mechanism re-cocks itself.

  • Patent number: 4750350
Abstract: This invention relates to a portable combustion leak tester for water-cooled internal combustion engines. The tester comprises a top cap, a transparent, hollow sightglass attached to the bottom of the cap and a frustro-conical bottom nose-cone attached to the bottom of the sightglass adapted to fit into a radiator inlet. The tester has a longitudinal air-passageway therethrough with a check-ball chamber and check-ball located in the upper portion of the nose-cone. The tester is supplied with water through an upper passageway filled so that approximately one inch of water fills the sightglass. The device is then secured to the radiator filling mouth. If there are pressure leaks from the combustion chamber of the engine into the cooling jacket. When the engine is running, air bubbles can be observed in the sightglass.
