Abstract: Apparatus for cutting biscuit joints can be quickly and easily mounted onto a conventional router table. The apparatus cuts mitered and compound mitered biscuit joints and it includes a work piece support surface which can be angularly adjusted with respect to the router table and cutting element and which can be moved toward and away from the cutting element to enable the cutting element to form cuts in a work piece positioned on the work piece support.

Abstract: An eyeglass holder includes an elongated, flexible, hollow tube for containing a sunscreen or suntan product. Caps are attached to the ends of the tube for removably covering the open ends of the tube, and flexible straps are used to attach the caps to the tube and for receiving and holding earpieces of the eyeglasses whereby the eyeglasses can be suspended from the wearer's neck.

Abstract: An adjustable strap for use with a diver's face mask includes a flexible, resilient headband having a positive buoyancy in water and an elastic fabric laminated to at least a first side of the headband for comfortably contacting a diver's head to avoid pulling or tangling of the diver's hair.

Abstract: A device for preventing infant colic and stomach discomfort includes a collar or vest for attachment to the infant and a bubble level is attached to the collar or vest for visually indicating the position of the infant's torso with respect to vertical. Spring elements normally position the jaw members in substantially contacting relationship with each other and within the opening, and the wedge members are operated to selectively separate the jaw members from each other to permit insertion of a cord or rod into the opening and between the jaw members.

Abstract: An amphibious air cushion vehicle includes a body defining an air containment wall, and an inflatable tube is attached to the body and defines a rearward opening. A fan is positioned within the body to force pressurized air into the compartment, and a gate is provided in operative relationship with the body and with the opening for selectively enabling pressurized air to exit rearwardly through the opening from the compartment to impart forward motion to the vehicle.

Abstract: A wheel chair with elevating seat having a high lift capability includes a frame assembly having a plurality of wheels attached to and normally supporting the frame assembly. A pair of opposed, vertical track members are atached to and project upwardly from the frame assembly, and elements are provided for selectively moving a chair substantially along the lengths of the track members. The lengths of the track members provide high lift capabilities for the chair while permitting passage through standard residential door openings whereby the operator is enabled to perform household and other tasks which otherwise would not be possible.

Abstract: A hand protecting grip for use with shopping bags and the like includes an elongated body defining an interior, longitudinally-extending circular bore and a longitudinally-extending bag handle admission slot in fluid communication with the bore. A bag handle support surface within the bore defines opposed ends which are rounded downwardly, and opposed ends of the slot meet the opposed ends of the bag support surface whereby bag bails can be quickly inserted into and removed from the grip.

Abstract: Equipment for towless skiing on water surface includes a pair of propulsion sticks having buoyant members at one end and handles at the other end. The buoyant members provide increased thrust against the hydrodynamic resistance of the water, and the shape of the buoyant members permits removal of the buoyant members from the water with little resistance. The equipment also includes a pair of skis comprised of foam material and provided with stabilizing shoulders on both sides of each ski for minimizing the effect of nose diving and rolling of the skis in the surf. The cross-sectional areas of the buoyant members and of the skis are such that maximum propulsion forces are provided. The skis are designed to endow the surf skier with a greater degree of freedom during surf skiing and to enable the skier to ski for longer distances on the water.

Abstract: An electro-mechanically operated locomotive bell ringing apparatus designed to quickly and easily replace existing air operated bell ringing systems. The bell ringing apparatus is mounted within the bell and the existing bell striker is attached to the apparatus. Closing of a switch mounted on the engineman's console activates a timer which energizes a coil within the apparatus in a predetermined manner to cause the striker to move against the bell.

The impact of a bullet against the traffic sign energizes an encoded transmitter with transmits a radiofrequency into the air for a first predetermined time period. A receiver/decoder is located remotely from the transmitter for receiving the radiofrequency signal from the transmitter, and a camera is positioned to photograph persons and/or vehicles within a predetermined area adjacent to the traffic sign during the period of time that a signal is received by the receiver/decoder.

Abstract: An extension handle apparatus, for use with a conventional wrench having a handle and an opening defined within and adjacent a free end of the handle, the extension handle apparatus including a tubular sleeve member defining an open port at one end thereof and an open interior space for receiving the wrench handle. A plurality of aligned, square bolt-receiving openings are provided within two opposed walls of the tubular sleeve member, and locking means extend through predetermined and opposed ones of the bolt-receiving openings in the sleeve member and through the wrench handle opening for locking the sleeve member into safe and secure position on the wrench handle.

Abstract: A bed canopy support and assembly are provided wherein the assembly is comprised of four supports fastened together in a rectangular configuration. Each support includes a channel-shaped valance support member defining upper and lower substantially parallel and opposed flanges and a connecting element extending between and at substantially right angles with the flanges, and a substantially L-shaped drapery and canopy support member integral with and projecting downwardly from and at substantially a right angle with the lower flange. Hook and loop type fastener material, such as Velcro, are provided on each support for attaching a valance drapery and canopy to the support.
