Abstract: A string bead loom includes a body having a top side, a bottom side, and a rear edge; source means for providing and dispensing string wherein the source means is mounted on the top side of the body; guide means for guiding string being dispensed from the source means; and takeup mechanism for receiving string dispensed from the source means wherein the takeup mechanism is mounted on the bottom side of the body; and wherein the string being dispensed from the source means is guided by the guide means, entrained around the rear edge of the body, and releasably secured to the takeup mechanism.
Abstract: A fishing rod includes one or more signal devices in a portion thereof and a power system that is connected to and activates the one or more signal devices when the fishing rod is flexed by a fish. The connection between the one or more signal devices and a power source includes a control switch and an activation switch that includes an electrically conductive pin mounted on the fishing rod and an electrically conductive coil spring surrounding the electrically conductive pin. The circuit between the one or more signal devices and the power is completed when the control switch is in the “on” condition and the electrically conductive pin and the electrically conductive coil of the activation switch are in electrical contact with each other. A kit may be used to retrofit an existing fishing rod.
Abstract: A fishing lure having an oval-shaped head portion with a fore-to-aft oriented minor axis and a transversely oriented major axis, a tail portion connected to the head portion wherein the tail portion includes a multitude of strands, a treble hook substantially contained within the multitude of strands, and swivel means connecting the treble hook to the head portion. As the lure is displaced through water by a fishing line, the head portion wobbles causing portions of the treble hook to be intermittently exposed externally of the multitude of strands thereby simulating lifelike thrashing of legs.
Abstract: An electric cigarette lighter includes a housing which has finger grips and a case for storing extra batteries. The lighter includes a resistive element that becomes heated when the lighter is activated and attains a temperature sufficient to light a cigarette or other such element, even if exposed to wind, rain or other environmental factors.
Abstract: Information, such as make, model, serial number, color, marks, etc, associated with a motor vehicle, along with data associated with the owner of the vehicle, are registered in an information repository, such as a police station, a bureau of motor vehicles or the like. The vehicle information is stored on a registration card and/or on a decal which is permanently attached to the motor vehicle. The information can be stored in the form of a bar code. If a vehicle is stolen or otherwise operated in a manner not authorized by the owner of the vehicle, this information is input into the information repository. Fuel pumps at a fueling station are connected to the vehicle registration information either via a computer at the fuel station or a relay station at the fuel station. Before activation of the fuel pumps, the data on either the card or the decal must be read into a data port on the fuel pump. This data is compared to data stored in the repository.
Abstract: A tow bar having a first connection mechanism with a forward projection for connecting to a conventional receiver hitch of a towing vehicle, a second connection mechanism for connecting to a towed vehicle, and a third connection mechanism having a ball member rotatively captured with a socket member and a pair of towbar arms pivotally-connected to an exposed portion of the ball member for connecting the first connection mechanism to the second connection mechanism. The tow bar also includes a securing mechanism for locking the tow bar in a stowed configuration on the rear of the towing vehicle.
