  • Patent number: 8184896
Abstract: Methods for determining a quality of a light source applied to a photolithographic process are provided. An image sensor array is exposed to a light from a light source. Addresses and respective intensities corresponding to a plurality of locations on a pupil map representing intensity of the light from on the image sensor array. At least one of an inner curve and an outer curve of the pupil map is defined based upon the collected addresses and respective intensities. The light source is applied to a photolithographic process if the addresses have a predetermined pattern relative to the at least one of the inner curve and the outer curve.

  • Patent number: 8183933
Abstract: A circuit includes a first transistor in a common-collector configuration and a heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) in a common-emitter configuration. The first transistor has a base coupled to an input node for receiving a pulsed signal. A collector of the first transistor is coupled to a first voltage source node. A base of the HBT is coupled to an emitter of the first transistor. A collector of the HBT is coupled to a second voltage source node configured to bias the HBT normally off. The HBT operating isothermally when the pulsed signal has a short-pulse width and a low duty cycle. The first transistor drives the HBT when the pulsed signal is received at the base of the first transistor to output an amplified pulsed signal at the collector of the HBT.

  • Patent number: 8179011
Abstract: A brushless motor including a stator having teeth and a rotor having magnetic pole portions is disclosed. The magnetic pole portions are arranged to have the same polarities as each other. The rotor includes gaps that function as magnetic resistance at circumferential ends of each of the magnetic pole portions so that an iron core portion is formed between the circumferentially adjacent magnetic pole portions. Magnetic flux of the magnetic pole portions passes through the iron core portion along the radial direction. The gaps include a first gap located on the leading end of the magnetic pole portion in the rotation direction of the rotor and a second gap located on the trailing end of the magnetic pole portion in the rotation direction of the rotor. The circumferential width of the first gap is set to be greater than the circumferential width of the second gap.

  • Patent number: 8181208
Abstract: A media server located in the home has video processing and storage capability. The media server receives video programming and control data from the cable plant head-end and receives status and control data from set top boxes (STBs). The media server can also receive locally generated video programming. The media server transmits signals that implement head-end functions to set top boxes within the home, including video programming and control data. The media server receives status data from the STBs. A point of entry distribution device provides signal coupling and blocking to allow signals to propagate within the home and to the head-end but block certain signals from leaving the home to maintain isolation. The server communicates to legacy STBs and to new STBs and devices that do not use the legacy waveform. Legacy STBs can communicate with the server or with the cable head-end. New devices can communicate with the server and with each other over the in-home coaxial cable wiring.

  • Patent number: 8174868
Abstract: An embedded SRAM chip in a 32 nm or smaller technology generation includes a first SRAM array of first SRAM unit cells. Each first SRAM unit cell includes a data latch for data storage and at least two pass gates for data reading and writing access. The cell area is defined by a first X-pitch and a first Y-pitch, the X-pitch being longer than the Y-pitch. A plurality of logic transistors are formed outside of the first SRAM array, the plurality of logic transistors including at least first and second logic transistor having first and second gate pitches defined between their source and drain contacts. The second gate pitch is the minimum logic gate pitch for the plurality of logic transistors. The first Y-pitch is equal to twice the first gate pitch and the ratio of the first Y-pitch to twice the second logic gate pitch is greater than one.

  • Patent number: 8175620
Abstract: The location of a wireless mobile device may be estimated using, at least in part, one or more pre-existing Network Measurement Reports (“NMRs”) which include calibration data for a number of locations within a geographic region. The calibration data for these locations is gathered and analyzed so that particular grid points within the geographic region can be determined and associated with a particular set or sets of calibration data from, for example, one or more NMRs. Received signal level measurements reported by a mobile device for which a location estimate is to be determined may be compared with the data associated with the various grid points to estimate the location of the mobile device.
