  • Patent number: 7896664
Abstract: A mechanism for extending and retracting the electrical connector in a flash memory thumb drive is disclosed. The flash memory and USB connector are disposed on a printed circuit board. The board is slidably disposed within a housing so that the connector can be extended beyond and retracted within the housing. An arm on a pivot can be rotated in one direction so that another lever extends the board, and rotated in the opposite direction to retract it.

  • Patent number: 7647880
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable mounting system for a leaning post for a boat having a pair of side-by-side seat posts. The leaning post is provided with a pair of brackets to which hollow cylindrical support posts can be adjustably mounted. The spacing between the support posts can be adjusted to align with the spacing of a pair of conventional hollow cylindrical side-by-side vertical seat posts. A pair of spaced apart parallel slots in the mounting brackets receive bolts that secure the support posts to the mounting bracket and allow the distance between the support posts to be adjusted to align with the distance between the seat posts.

  • Patent number: 7601022
Abstract: The invention discloses a computer connector or adapter housing structure with a raised portion. When plastic is molded around the housing, the raised portion is left exposed. This exposed portion of the housing provides a place to incorporate designs, such as business logos, words or numbers, or a gripping surface.

  • Patent number: 7441344
Abstract: Apparatus and method for drying a product comprising placing the product on a first side of a support surface, and directing dry radiant heat toward the second side of the surface to heat the product. A sensor can be included to measure at least one characteristic of the product, such as the temperature or moisture content thereof. The temperature of the heat source can be regulated as a function of the measured characteristic. The support surface can also be made so as to be movable relative to the heat source. In an alternative embodiment, a plurality of control zones are defined and through which the product is successively passed. Each of the control zones has at least one associated heat source and an associated sensor so as to regulate the temperature of the heat sources associated with each control zone independently of those associated with another zone.

  • Patent number: 7415659
Abstract: The current invention involves a forward error detection system, especially for use with Low Density Parity Check codes. A parallel SISO structure allows the decoder to process multiple parity equations at the same time. There is a new SISO decoder which allows for the updating of the Log-likelihood-ratio's in a single operation, as opposed to the two pass traditionally associated with the Tanner Graph's. In the decoder, there is a mapping structure that correctly aligns the stored estimates, the stored differences and the SISO's. There is also the ability to deal with multiple instances of the same data being processed at the same time. This structure manages the updates and the differences in such a manner that all calculations on a single piece of data that are processed in parallel are incorporated correctly in the new updated estimates.

  • Patent number: 7164435
Abstract: A videoconferencing system uses a stand-alone video/audio transcapture module with an H.323-compliant broadband Internet connection through a server to conduct real-time videoconferencing. The system provides directory service to work behind Network Address Translation systems by means of backend servers that use Lightweight Directory Assistance Protocol servers to map numbers to IP addresses. The system further incorporates an automatic firmware update service to provide updated firmware updates each time the transcapture module is rebooted. The system also provides an automatic commercial download service to provide module specific bannerization capability, so that each transcapture module can receive directed commercials.

  • Patent number: 7159260
Abstract: A multi-purpose trucker's power puller tool with a hook rod that slides in the bore of a handle, and a weighted head at an end of the handle. The weighted head provides momentum to the hooked end for yanking free stuck objects, such as a truck's fifth wheel pin. The slidable rod also allows the tool to be locked in extended or collapsed positions. The invention also allows interchangeable hook rods to be used, so that the tool may be adapted to different purposes, such as grabbing and pulling eyelets of truck load covers, or pulling chains.

  • Patent number: 6932192
Abstract: A bracket to hold a boarding ladder to a boat. A quick release mechanism for both the ladder and the bracket itself are disclosed. A mounting plate is substantially flush with the side of the boat. The bracket slides down into the mounting plate and latches into place. The bracket accepts the upper bar of a boarding ladder and closes a latch over the bar, holding the ladder in place. To remove the ladder, a latch at the top of the bracket is lifted and the ladder can be easily pulled free. To free the bracket from the mounting plate after the ladder has been removed, the latch is lifted and the bracket can be lifted out.

  • Patent number: 6754966
Abstract: Disclosed is a wienie roaster with prongs that may be folded back. The prongs are pivotly received by a head, and the head is attached at the end of a roaster stalk. The prong has a continuous curve as it enters the head which produces friction to hold the prongs at an adjustable angle away from or towards the roaster stalk. The bore in the head may have beveled, oval-shaped openings, so that the curved base of the prong notches into place in extended and folded back positions. The roaster may also have a tension shoe for applying and distributing pressure on the prongs and a notch in the prongs for receiving the tension shoe. A hole in the top of the head allows lubricant, such as oil or fat from cooking food, to enter the head and lubricate the base of the prong and the tension shoe. The lubrication hole may also be threaded to receive a set screw, which can provide additional pressure to hold the prong in place.
