  • Patent number: 5111597
Abstract: A dance shoe having a toe end and a heel end. The dance shoe has an outer sole which is constructed of a flexible material and an outer covering which is constructed of a flexible material connected to the outer sole with the outer covering cooperating with the outer sole to substantially encompass a foot space with a foot opening being formed through a portion of the outer covering. The foot opening and the foot space each are sized and adapted so that an individual may dispose his foot through the foot opening and into the foot space with the outer covering substantially covering the upper portion of an individual's foot when the individual's foot is disposed in the foot space. A relatively rigid toe support is disposed in the foot space generally near the toe end of the dance shoe. The toe support substantially encompasses and defines a toe space with a toe opening being formed through one end of a toe support.

  • Patent number: 5109831
Abstract: A retractor support assembly for assisting a surgeon by supporting a portion of a breast of a patient during reconstructive surgery. The retractor support assembly includes a retractor having a blade which is insertable into a wound generally under a portion of the breast whereby a portion of the breast is supported generally on the blade. The retractor support assembly also includes a retractor support connected to the retractor for exerting a predetermined force on the retractor pulling the retractor a predetermined distance in a generally upwardly direction whereby the portion of the breast supported on the blade of the retractor is lifted and moved in the generally upwardly direction the predetermined distance toward a breast lifted position. the retractor support supports the retractor and the portion of the breast supported on the retractor in the breast lifted position during the reconstructive surgery.

  • Patent number: 5108058
Abstract: A camping light holder for maintaining a camping light a distance from a support structure is provided. The camping light holder includes a pole assembly, and a clamping assembly. The pole assembly includes a plurality of interconnecting sections. The pole assembly is inserted into a sleeve which is secured to the clamping assembly. The clamping assembly is removably secured to the support structure and includes a spike secured thereon for insertion into a penetrable support structure. A base may also be secured to the clamping assemble such that the camping light holder may be secured to support structures having a non-penetrable surface or a surface consisting of loose soil.

  • Patent number: 5108010
Abstract: An improved silo for storing materials which are composed of particles of varying sizes. Rectangular receiver openings are located in an upper floor at the upper end of the silo and rectangular discharge openings are located at the lower end of the silo. In order to reduce particle segregation caused by differences in the sizes of the particles, the receiver openings are positioned at right angles to the discharge openings.

  • Patent number: 5105085
Abstract: A system for analyzing fluids. In one embodiment, the system measures the water content in an oil/water emulsion. A fluid probe comprising an infrared light emitting diode and a phototransistor measures the opacity of the fluid. The signal from the phototransistor is input into a series of potentiometers which are set to correspond to different percentages of water content. The outputs of the potentiometers are displayed by a light emitting diode panel. Means for automatically recalibrating the system in response to temperature changes is included. Further, means is included for recalibrating the system to operate in fluids having different API gravities. In a second embodiment, the system analyzes a fluid to identify and differentiate different fluids in a mixture. The system can distinguish between petroleum products having different opacities; that is, the system can differentiate between crude oil, light oil and distillate.

  • Patent number: 5103110
Abstract: A programmable power supply having a plurality of channels wherein each channel is adapted to output a selectable DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current or AC current. Each channel is adapted to select a DC reference signal or an AC reference signal and to scale the selected DC reference or the AC reference to output the selected signal. The outputted selected signals are monitored to provide a monitored channel signal indicating the value of the selected signal. The programmable power supply outputs monitored channel signals for each of the channels in a human perceivable format such as a display or printed format. At least some of the channels are adapted to be connectable to a temperature probe which outputs temperature signals and, in this embodiment, the temperature signals are monitored to provide monitored channel temperature signals, the monitored channel temperature signals being outputted in a human perceivable format such as a display or printed format or both.
