  • Patent number: 5673194
Abstract: A data-collection and monitoring system for a production line ensures the traceability, that is, the detailed reconstruction, of the entire production process for each finished product output by the line, by the separate filing of data relating to the manufacturing steps and to the products, with the use of time as the unifying factor. The system advantageously provides for the two sets of data to be correlated only when necessary, permitting considerably savings in both hardware and software requirements.

  • Patent number: 5664665
Abstract: A shock sensor capable of detecting a shock in a number of directions includes a reed switch, which is fixed inside a body and has a reed contact part which is magnetically changed from a first to a second state by way of a magnet, which is fixed inside the body at a specified distance from the reed switch. A shield member, having a sufficiently large area, prevents the magnet force of the magnet from affecting the reed contact part when the shield member is in its regular position. A resilient member, in a normal state, keeps the shield member at its regular position between the reed contact part and a magnet, at which the reed contact part is kept in the first state. When a shock is applied to the shock sensor, the resilient member allows the shield member to move to a position where the reed contact part changes over to the second state. In a second embodiment, the magnet is movably held in the main casing at a specified distance from the reed switch.

  • Patent number: 5640923
Abstract: A new boat hull support structure is provided in which a chevron rib support structure is used throughout the hull of an aluminum boat. This rib structure provides superior resiliency due to the increase of surface area contact between the boat hull and support ribs. The support ribs are constructed from a plurality of V-shaped ribs, having summit sections and trailing ends connected to transverse braces. The ribs are riveted to the hull, with each successive rib connected to the preceding rib at a point in the forward one quarter of the preceding rib and the center of the transverse brace through a connector plate. A continuous triangular structure is provided which distributes impact loading across the width, as well as, the length of the structure.

  • Patent number: 5632821
Abstract: A method for performing a post treatment effectively in a short period of time after in-situ cleaning for removing residual material remaining in a reaction chamber after a chemical vapor deposition process. The method preferably comprises a post treatment gas containing an element in common with a thin film and reactive with a cleaning gas to form a volatile product being introduced into the reaction chamber by a gas introduction system at such a flow rate that the thin film deposition rate is reaction-limited. The method further comprises plasma forming system forming a plasma by applying electric power to the post treatment gas under the condition that the thin film deposition rate is reaction-limited. The residual cleaning gas reacts with the post treatment gas to form a volatile product which is expelled out by an exhaust system. The cleaning gas is thereby removed without being embedded in the thin film.

  • Patent number: 5634104
Abstract: A accordance determining circuit (113) that determines whether or not a cache address CA required in updating a cache data memory (111) and a cache tag memory (112) accords with the address of data read from an external memory (130) is provided. When the accordance determining circuit (150) has determined an accordance state, a register (115) is enabled so that cache data read from the external memory (130) is stored in a register (115) and supplied to a cache requester (101). Alternatively, a means for generating an address corresponding to the next data of data to be updated in updating the cache data memory (111) and (112) is provided so as to determine the cache status of an address being generated. Thus, if the determined result represents that the cache data has not been stored, a plurality of data are updated at a time. Consequently, the mis-hit penalty time can be reduced and the hit ratio can be improved.

  • Patent number: 5570005
Abstract: A wide range power supply for integrated circuits includes a voltage-down converter to receive the input supply voltage and generate a controlled low voltage signal. The circuit also includes a voltage-up converter which receives the controlled low voltage signal to generate a high voltage signal for high power circuits. Finally, a substrate bias generator is employed in the circuit to generate a substrate bias signal. Because the low power voltage is controlled, the high power voltage and the substrate bias signal are independent of any variations in input supply voltage. In alternate embodiments, the voltage-up converter or voltage-down converter can be disabled if the external supply voltage is controlled and maintained in at high or low voltage respectfully.

  • Patent number: 5563627
Abstract: In order to generate a character, the sampling point data of a character are read out of the sampling point file, and are multiplied by an integer to facilitate following processes for forming a high quality character. After that, X and Y coordinates and pressure values are subjected to the interpolation processing by interpolators and are further enlarged therein. The interpolated data are outputted to a circle generator unit of a pattern generator. The circle generator unit calculates parallel horizontal line data and generates independent circles composed of parallel horizontal lines on the basis of interpolated pressure values. The pattern shift unit of the pattern generator shift the independent circles into a pattern composed of parallel horizontal lines on the basis of the interpolated coordinate positions as a pattern. The pattern is reduced by a reduction unit as a pixel data to be stored in an image memory.
