  • Patent number: 5413346
Abstract: An eye dominant training device comprising a track sewn into the front brim of a sun visor that accepts a wrap around clear plastic material, referred to as a graphic display shield. The shield slides in and out of the track for easy replacement. The shield when placed in the track covers the eyes completely but does not go down beyond the bottom of the nose or below the bottom of the ears at the wrapped position. The shield has a clear generally rectangular window for the placement of master and testing graphic displays which may be in the form of decals. The testing graphic displays are sued for determining present eye dominance if any. The utilization graphics display includes one circle in front of either eye for the sole purpose of viewing a target through the circle with a line matrix including one tilted horizontal line with several vertical lines placed next to the circle. The circle is used as an object focusing device for the eye being trained.

  • Patent number: 5397128
Abstract: A casino card game in which cards are dealt on a playing surface, by a dealer to players, the playing surface having indicia or symbols, on which the players place their bets, with other symbols denoting collection positions for the house. The deck of cards includes numbered cards 2 through 6 and 9 along with the honor cards Ace, King, Queen, jack. The King, Queen and jack effectively have zero value, the Ace a value of "one" and the other numbered cards have the face numerical value. A dealer deals each of the players three cards, face up, with the objective being to hit a 9 in total count or value. A banker is selected and the banker receives two cards face up and one card down. Wagering is effected against the bank wager of the banker, with payment of wagers processed against the bank in accordance with a pre-selected order obtained by the throw of dice prior to the onset of the game.

  • Patent number: 5309581
Abstract: Apparatus for producing a waterfall at the edge of a swimming pool, spa or pond, the apparatus including a generally cylindrical reservoir in the water circulation system path, with at least one water discharge metering rod on the axial centerline of the reservoir, configured for directing water in a first direction diametrically opposite an elongate discharge plenum having a second plenum in fluid flow communication therewith for discharging the water into the pool through a sidewall thereof. The apparatus is placed inside the wall on the side of the pool and produces a smooth even sheet of water which is directed away from the side of the pool. The metering rods are constructed for adjusting pressure along the axial length thereof to cause the water pressure inside of the unit to be maintained evenly across its length thereby directing the water out through the throat of the discharge plenum.

  • Patent number: 5253753
Abstract: A display case including first and second display case halves which may be formed individually, or with an integrally formed living hinge portion. Each display case half includes a peripheral edge portion in facing relation with the like edge portion of the other half, the edge portions including matingly coating pegs and apertures, alternately positioned, or located, so that the parts are keyed, one to the other, to form an enclosure with aligned display openings. One end of the case is provided with spaced parallel span rails which define a compartment, into which illumination means may be inserted. The case may be provided with a handle for portability, or may be provided with suitable fasteners for fastening to a fixed member, such as a wall or a ceiling. A centrally located cross member is provided in one embodiment, with a hub for receiving a record aperture thereon. The display openings may be provided with means for receiving transparent or translucent panels or the like.

  • Patent number: 5251796
Abstract: A combination U-shaped lock and rack apparatus for attachment to a bicycle, the apparatus including a combination U-shaped bicycle lock and a storage rack whereby the two are integrated into one functional device. The rack is designed to accept the U-shaped metal lock, carry various items desired by the rider and to be rigidly attached to the bicycle. The lock mates with the rack to form an outside frame thereof whereby the combination provides a place to carry the lock while strengthening the rack to support more cargo. The lock can be removed even when the rack is loaded with gear and accessories thus providing mutual exclusion of use of the lock and rack.

  • Patent number: 5205446
Abstract: A fishing pole holder/carrier apparatus for attachment to a vehicle, the apparatus including, in a first embodiment, a main support tube configured, at a first end, for being received within a trailer hitch receptacle. A second member is pivotally attached at one end to the other end of the main support member, and pivotable to a prescribed angular orientation. A cross-member is pivotally coupled at the center thereof to the other end of the second member. Secured to the cross-member are a plurality of tubes configured for receiving the handles of the fishing poles therein. The parts are arranged so that the cross-member may be pivoted between a first position aligned with the second member to a second position transverse to the second member, and the second member may be pivoted to overly the main support member whereby the holder folds to a compact unit for storage. In a second embodiment, the second member is secured to the first member, with the cross-member bolted to the second member.

  • Patent number: 5053681
Abstract: A circuit, including an electrical load such as a fluorescent lamp, energized through an inverter which is in turn energized from a standard household alternating current voltage source. The output of the inverter is of a low voltage, low current and high frequency. This power is then transmitted by a low current voltage link, in the form of a flexible small gauge, jacketed wire conductor connected across the outputs of the inverter, to the input terminals of a compact step-up transformer located a distance away from the inverter. The power created by the step-up transformer is converted to usable power by the electrical load. The low voltage link need not be enclosed in a raceway.

Abstract: A conduit marking device including one or more strips of flexible material coupled adjacent one end to a fastening member configured for coupling to a conduit member. The strips, when coupled to the conduit member, extend in a vertical direction, with the strength and flexibility thereof being sufficient to avoid severing during the screeding process. The length of the strips is sufficient to extend above the surface of the poured concrete floor to provide visual indication of the location of the conduit member after curing of the concrete. The strips may be color coded, or may be provided with indicia, either or both of which may be used to indicate the type of conduit member, as well as the direction, depth or the like.
