  • Patent number: 8017442
Abstract: A method fabricates a packaging structure, including cutting a complete panel of packaging substrates with a large area into a plurality of packaging substrate blocks each having a plurality of packaging substrate units; mounting a semiconductor chip on each of the packaging substrate units and securing the semiconductor chip to the packaging substrate unit with a molding material, to form a plurality of packaging structure blocks each having a plurality of packaging structure units; and cutting the packaging structure block into a plurality of packaging structure units. Accordingly, each of the packaging structure unit has a moderate area, the alignment difference between the packaging structure units in each of the packaging structure blocks can be reduced, and the semiconductor chips for all the packaging substrate units in each of the packaging substrate blocks can be packaged at one time. Therefore, the yield is increased and the overall cost is reduced.

  • Patent number: 8018625
Abstract: New information is added to an information medium and is managed such that the information is not leaked when outputted. An image reading section reads the information medium and inputs images including a unique image and a code image. A detecting section determines the code image and the unique image from inputted images to detect the code image. An extracting section restores the code image to obtain confidential information. Alternatively, the extracting section restores the code image and obtains access information. A control section accesses a management apparatus and requests confidential information related to the information medium. The management apparatus transmits the specified confidential information to an image processing apparatus. The control section combines an image of the information medium and the code image or the confidential information and outputs the result. An image forming section prints the image on a record sheet.

  • Patent number: 8011909
Abstract: A vane pump assembly including a cam ring having an elliptical inner bore defining a hydraulic pumping chamber, the pumping chamber having an interior camming surface. The cam ring defines ports for admitting fluid into the pumping chamber. A rotor, within the cam ring, defines a plurality of radial vane slots. A vane assembly is supported in each vane slot to define vane buckets. Each vane assembly has an end dynamic vane seal for reducing leakage between the buckets. Front and rear side plates, separated by an annular spacer, enclose the pumping chamber. The pump assembly may also include floating front and rear rotor seals for reducing radially inward leakage. Each rotor seal is disposed within a groove formed in the rotor, wherein discharge pressure urges the rotor seals axially outward from the pumping chamber to create an effective seal against the respective side plate.

  • Patent number: 8013686
Abstract: A miniaturized multilayer hybrid-phase signal splitter circuit is proposed, which is fully equivalent in function to a conventional rat-race coupler, but with a specialized circuit layout structure that allows its IC implementation to be more miniaturized than the conventional rat-race coupler. The proposed hybrid-phase signal splitter circuit features the use of a multilayer substrate for the layout of six transmission lines in such a manner that the transmission lines in the middle layer are inductively coupled to the transmission lines on the overlying layer as well as the transmission lines on the underlying layer to form a Marchand balun. In IC implementation, the required layout area is only about 10% of the layout area for the conventional rat-race coupler.

  • Patent number: 8013443
Abstract: An electronic carrier board and a package structure thereof are provided. The electronic carrier board includes a carrier, at least one pair of bond pads formed on the carrier, and a protective layer covering the carrier. The protective layer is formed with openings for exposing the bond pads. A groove is formed between the paired bond pads and has a length larger than a width of an electronic component mounted on the paired bond pads. The groove is adjacent to one of the paired bond pads and communicates with a corresponding one of the openings where this bond pad is exposed. Accordingly, a clearance between the electronic component and the electronic carrier board can be effectively filled with an insulating resin for encapsulating the electronic component, thereby preventing voids and undesirable electrical bridging between the paired bond pads from occurrence.
