Abstract: A hair dryer includes a housing, a fan unit, a heating element, a motor and a handle. The housing is the body of the hair dryer and has an inlet end and an outlet end. The motor rotates the housing relative to the handle in an oscillating manner. The fan unit is mounted in the housing so that air from vents at the inlet end pass through the fan unit to be blown out through the outlet end of the housing. As such, the housing moves without requiring any movement of the user's hand, wrist, or arm. The handle also has a controller for activating operation, adjusting speed, and setting temperature.

Abstract: A signal-transmitting system includes a digital-to-analog converter, an optical modulator, first and second electrodes, an optical phase shifter, and an optical coupler. The digital-to-analog converter converts digital data into an electrical analog signal. The optical modulator includes a first optical waveguide configured to transmit a first optical carrier, a second optical waveguide configured to transmit a second optical carrier, a first electrode positioned on the first optical waveguide, and a second electrode positioned on the second optical waveguide. The first and second electrical couplers are configured to couple respective electrical analog signals and electrical carriers to electrodes to generate modulation waves. The modulation waves are different in phase. The optical phase shifter is configured to shift the second modulation wave by a predetermined phase, and the optical coupler is configured to couple the first and second modulation waves to generate an optical output signal.

Abstract: The present invention is an expansion tool device for pliers or machine for producing sockets at the ends of pipes made out of plastic or composite material, used in the field of plumbing. The device includes a cylindrically-shaped ferrule formed by the tightening of several sector-shaped chucks. The chucks are movable in the radial direction under the action of the insertion between them of a tapered needle movable in axial translation through the actuation of the pliers or machine. The chucks are allowed to pass from a tightened position to a separated position. In an integrated way or in a unit designed capable of being intercalated between the ferrule and the pliers or machine, there is an automatic driver for the ferrule, when the ferrule passes from the separated position to the tightened position, directly or indirectly, in axial swiveling according to a portion of a turn.

Abstract: A method for measuring physiological parameters uses statistical properties, spectrum analysis and feedback mechanisms to remove the signal noise generated by human body movement from a detected physiological signal.

Abstract: A safety bottle cap for preventing damage from anti-burglary tearing flanges has an opening, a cover and a two-layer tear ring between the opening and the aperture on the cover. A lower stop flange is protruded on the lower section of the opening. An upper stop flange is located at a spacing with the lower stop flange. A hooking edge is protruded on the inner side of the aperture. The tear ring has upper and lower rings, ribs arranged to link the rings, an outward flange protruded on exterior of the upper ring, an upper abutting edge protruded on the inner side of the upper ring and a lower abutting edge protruded on the inner side of the lower ring. The safety bottle cap allows the cover to be opened smoothly without spurs on the aperture, thus realizing anti-burglary identification and improving protection against mouth injury.

Abstract: A grease accumulator apparatus for use in subsea applications has a bottle with an internal chamber, a plunger positioned within the internal chamber and slidable therealong, and an end cap assembly affixed to one end of the bottle. The end cap assembly has an indicator member slidably connected thereto. The indicator member is cooperative with the plunger such that an end of the indicator member moves outwardly of the end cap assembly as the plunger moves in the bottle toward the end cap assembly. The end cap assembly has a body with a housing affixed to one end thereof. The housing has a hydraulic fluid inlet and a hydraulic fluid outlet. The indicator member is movable between a position in which the inlet and outlet are fluidically connected in a second position in which fluid flow is blocked between the inlet and the outlet.

Abstract: An integrated positioning mechanism of hydrant shell plate, of which the hydrant has an upper shell plate, a lower shell plate and an integrated positioning mechanism; the upper shell plate has a pedestal, an upper base plate, screw holes and a mating side; the lower shell plate is assembled beneath the upper base plate of the upper shell plate, and provided with two threading seats and an assembly side; moreover, the integrated positioning mechanism comprises a locking portion with a flange and a concave coupled together, as well as two bolts, thus enabling limited assembly of the upper and lower shell plates; with this unique design, the present invention allows two bolts and the locking portion to position the hydrant more stably and firmly by a three-point fixation way, thus improving substantially the quality of the hydrant with innovative applicability.

Abstract: The use of dapsone is the first effective treatment against the disabling consequences associated with cerebral infarction in patients. Dapsone was evaluated as a neuroprotector in the cerebral infarction model produced by the occlusion of the middle cerebral artery in rats and in patients suffering from acute cerebral infarction caused by thromboembolism. In both studies, dapsone displayed a reduction of between 70 and 90% in the adverse effects which occur as a consequence of the infarction.

Abstract: A regenerative adsorption gas dryer has a wet gas inlet, first and second drying towers, and a dried gas outlet. The inlet, towers and outlet are arranged such that, in use, a flow of purge gas regenerates an off-stream one of the towers, while a stream of wet gas from the wet gas inlet enters an on-stream one of the towers to exit that tower as a stream of dried gas which then continues to the dried gas outlet. The roles of the off-stream and on-stream towers are reversible. The dryer further has a first check valve for controlling a stream of dried gas between the first drying tower and the dried gas outlet, and a second check valve for controlling a stream of dried gas between the second drying tower and the dried gas outlet.

The depressed back of the plaquette has a bent positioning claw. A wall permanent seat has a plaquette assembly surface, an abutting surface and a fixed portion. The fixed portion is positioned fixedly onto the wall. The plaquette assembly surface of the wall permanent seat is fitted with limit surfaces, which are aligned transversely with the positioning claw. A soft liner ring is fitted with at least two slots that are fitted onto the positioning claws. The limit surface has a pair of tabs and a vertical lug engaged with the position claw.

Abstract: A system and method for generating electrical energy from continental shelf mass involves moving continental shelf mass onto a conveyor at a first elevation at or near sea level. The mass is moved on the conveyor system to a second elevation well below sea level. Ideally, the second elevation is the bottom of a continental trench. The conveyor is then used to convey a liquid, preferably seawater, to a third elevation higher than the first elevation. The liquid is then passed into a reservoir and through a hydroelectric generator. The conveyor system may include a bucket chain enclosed in a pipeline.

Abstract: A pocketformer for use with an anchor body in post-tensioning concrete has a body having a first side and a second side and a first end and a second end and an interior, a front face formed adjacent the first end, and a tubular member formed in the interior of the body. The first side tapers from the second end to the first end. The second side tapers from the second end to the first end. The first side has an angle of taper greater than an angle of taper of the second side. The body has a generally hollow interior. The tubular member extends from the first end to the second end within the interior of the body. The angle of taper of the first side is approximately 45°.

Abstract: A multifunctional integrated dimming controller and an LED solar traffic marking panel fitted with this controller. The multifunctional integrated dimming controller is applied to the marking panel for combining and controlling its dimming function. The multifunctional integrated dimming controller includes a controller casing having an assembly surface and a terminal coupling portion. A contact block of solar photovoltaic panel is assembled on the coupling portion and connected with the solar photovoltaic panel. A contact block is assembled on the terminal coupling portion and connected with the electrical storage device. An LED contact block is assembled on the coupling portion and connected with the LED unit. An external sensing contact block is assembled on the coupling portion and connected with the external sensor. An integrated electrical control module is accommodated into the controller casing including a circuit board, a dimming processor on the circuit board and an electrical control unit.

Abstract: A method for designing a two-dimensional array overlay target set comprises the steps of: selecting a plurality of two-dimensional array overlay target sets having different overlay errors; calculating a deviation of a simulated diffraction spectra for each two-dimensional array overlay target set; selecting a sensitive overlay target set by taking the deviations of the simulated diffraction spectra into consideration; and designing a two-dimensional array overlay target set based on the structural parameters of the sensitive overlay target set.

Abstract: An LED waterproof diffuser has an LED substrate housing, a diffusing portion and an embedded locating portion. The housing is of a 3D holding space formed by an end wall and a periphery. An LED inlet is formed at the other end of the periphery. The hollow diffusing portion is protruded from the center of the end wall of the LED substrate housing in a reducing pattern. The embedded locating portion is formed externally onto the diffusing portion, and can also be embedded securely into the hole of an existing shell plate. The diffuser allows one to assemble a single or several LED units, thus reducing the manufacturing cost and realizing excellent waterproofing effects, while enabling partial replacement or maintenance of LED elements. Moreover, since the outer diameter of the diffusing portion is smaller than that of the LED substrate housing, a smaller hole area for assembly can be obtained.
