Abstract: The invention relates to a planar coil circuit and provides an improved method for insulating a face of a planar circuit of the type typically used in a transformer, while leaving the terminals thereof exposed; and to a planar printed circuit or lead frame stamped or etched solid copper similar to printed circuits but with no base material core manufactured using this method.
Abstract: A method of ?/4-shift QPSK modulation and ?/4-shift QPSK modulator are provided. The modulator address symbols from a Precursor section of a register to a first memory portion and from a Postcursor section of the register to a second memory portion at odd times and, address symbols from the Precursor section to said second memory portion and from said Postcursor section to said first memory portion at even times. The modulator uses reversed addressing for Postcursor symbols in accessing the said first and second memory portions.
Abstract: The system utilizes host signal processing techniques applicable to cellular communication system devices which are integrated with a system incorporating a general purpose CPU running a multitasking operating system. A RF receiver processes the signals to generate a receive signal, the RF module performs RF transmit processing on a transmit signal and generates the transmit wireless signal from it. A host processor communicates data, status and control information with the RF device via a bus, the host processor includes host based software application and a host based modem application. The receive signal generated by the RF module over the bus and generates receive data in response to it input to the software application at a output by the software application is received and generates the transmit signal in response to it, sending the transmit signal to the RF module over the bus. The figure shows a block diagram illustrating an analog cellular communications systems tuned for data communication.

Abstract: A device, system and a method for displaying an expanded spectrum of colors. The present invention is suitable for various types of electronic display devices, such as televisions and monitor devices (“monitors”) for computational devices, for example. The present invention operates by electronic production of more than three primary colors. As previously described, the term “primary color” specifically does not include light as produced by a neutral filter. Thus, unlike background art systems and devices, the present invention is not limited to combinations of colors which are produced from only three primary colors, such as red, green and blue for example.
Abstract: An image compression method is provided including separating an image into a plurality of color channel sub-images processing each of the color channel sub-images by sub-sampling the sub-image transform coding the sub-sampled sub-image decoding the transform-coded image forming a plurality of square groupings of pixels in the decoded image predicting a value for a pixel within each of the x-shaped groupings determining a prediction error for each predicted pixel value within each of the square groupings coding the prediction error forming a plurality of at least partly diamond-shaped groupings of pixels in the decoded image predicting a value for a pixel within each of the diamond-shaped groupings and combining each of the processed color channel sub-images with the coded prediction errors, thereby forming a compressed image.
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel polymeric compositions that exhibit Reverse Thermal Gelation (RTG) properties for use as Support Materials (SM) in the manufacture of three-dimensional objects. These polymers are Temperature Sensitive Polymers that respond with a significant change of properties to a small change in temperature. Temperature Sensitive Polymers exhibit cloud point (CP) or lower critical solution temperature (LCST) in aqueous solutions. Water-soluble Temperature Sensitive Polymers are chosen to give low viscosity liquid at low temperature when dissolved in water and by that to permit easy dispensing at low temperature. Raising the temperature above their gelation temperature (Tgel) will result in solidification of the composition. At its gel position the material has favorable characteristics as a support and building material. The gel layers have the appropriate toughness and dimensional stability to support the model layers during the building process.

Abstract: The invention relates to a thermo-optical waveguide switch which is located on a substrate. Said switch comprises a glass layer, through which a waveguide extends. A hollow chamber which lies beneath the waveguide thermally decouples the latter from the substrate. At least two supports are located in the hollow chamber to provide mechanical stability. One production method for obtaining a thermo-optical waveguide switch consists of creating a glass layer with an arrangement of perforations on a substrate. At least one hollow chamber containing at least two supports is formed by isotropically underetching the glass layer. The hollow chamber is subsequently sealed and a waveguide is formed above said hollow chamber. Another production method first creates a waveguide in a glass layer which is formed on a substrate.
Abstract: According to some embodiments of the present invention, a non-volatile memory cell may be operated using a charge pump circuit. The charge pump circuit may be adapted to output a first and second voltage level, and the charge pump circuit may be connected to a first circuit segment, including a select transistor associated with the memory cell, through a switch. When the charge pump circuit is outputting power at the first voltage level, the switch may be conducting and the select transistor line may be charged. When the charge pump circuit is outputting power at the second voltage level, the switch may be opened and a second circuit segment, including a bit line associated with the memory cell, may be charged.
