Abstract: An adjustable, self-leveling dispenser for stacked plates or platters has a pressure head within a plate well or tank and a plurality of tension springs peripherally arranged about the outer periphery of the tank and connected between first arcuate support members movable along the outside of the tank and second arcuate support members fixed with respect to the tank, the first arcuate support members being secured to radial support members projecting through longitudinally-extending slots in the tank for yieldingly supporting the pressure head from underneath. A plurality of guide rod members vertically disposed in spaced relation within the tank and stepwisely adjustable along a range of distances outwardly of the center of the pressure head serve as abutment slide means for guiding peripheral edge portions of any selected size of a wide range of sizes of stacked plates to be dispensed.

Abstract: A pivotal rivet assembly for use in swingably securing a riveted member to a companion member, comprising a pivotal rivet member having a rivet shank portion for pre-riveting, and an integrally-formed, cylindrical head, an outer portion of which head is provided with a pair of diametrically-opposed lugs the under-surfaces of which lie in a common plane perpendicular with respect to the axis of symmetry of the rivet and in spaced, parallel relation with respect to the annular shoulder defined by the juncture of the rivet shank portion with the rivet head. The companion member to be swingably attached is provided with a through opening, the peripheral size and shape of which opening is complemental with the outer peripheral shape of the pivotal rivet head and its integral lugs to permit passage therethrough of said rivet head upon assembly or disassembly.
Abstract: A pressurized air jet actuated swing valve for sandblasters is hinged with respect to the underside of the inverted head of the sandblaster to fit squarely against the sand filling opening in the tank head whenever the swing valve is maintained in closed position due to air pressure within the tank. A pivotal shaft secured against the underside of a valve plate is loosely journalled at each end in a pair of opposed, vertical slots in brackets attached to the underside of the tank head for free downward swinging of the valve body with respect to the inside of the tank when the valve in its open position, while at the same time providing for self-adjustment seating against the tank head sand filling opening when closed.
Abstract: A lightweight traveling bag having a garment bag portion, side bag compartment portions and a briefcase compartment portion, all fabricated from flexible fabric and all of which compartments are releaseably attached to the outsides of the garment bag portion for selective use in various combinations, wherein the garment bag portion with the side bag compartments and briefcase compartment attached can be folded lengthwise to assume the size and appearance of a composite piece of hand luggage for convenient carrying. The garment bag assembly can be released for unfolding to its full length for hanging in the garment bag compartment while traveling in a commercial aircraft or for hanging in an ordinary closet, a hook being provided at the upper end of the garment bag portion for this purpose.
Abstract: A wind-scoop for small boats has a collapsible framework of resiliant bent wire members, over which a dome-shaped fabric cover member is received in form fitting relation, one side only of which cover member is air permeable for scooping wind to be directed below deck. The bent wire members of the framework, at their lower ends, are provided with radially outwardly-directed hook means for releasable attachment with respect to the peripheral edge of a deck through opening.
Abstract: A folding picture frame comprising a rectangular housing and a rectangular front picture panel hinged along one side of the housing and normally folded against the housing in face-to-face relation unfolds to one side to reveal a second picture of approximately twice the size of the front panel picture and expose a plurality of selectively displayable pictures concealed within the picture frame and unfoldable by hinge means in the direction of the unfolded front picture panel. The front picture panel hinge and the concealed picture hinge means are such that each of the selected interior pictures, when unfolded for display, lies in a substantially flat plane.
Abstract: A tow bar coupling head removably attachable to the cross pin of an aircraft nose wheel strut has a solid metal body portion with a transverse slot in its underside within which the cross pin is received. A positive deadbolt slide lock retains the cross pin in place. A removable locking pin extending vertically through the body portion prevents accidental withdrawal of the deadbolt slide lock.
Abstract: A combination camera bag of flexible fabric comprises two "twin" camera bags, one the mirror image of the other, which are selectively attachable side by side for individual use when only one camera system is needed for a photographic field trip, or for doubled use when two camera systems are required. Each twin bag has a partitioned and cushioned camera and camera accessory insert which can be removed and used either for storage of a camera system or for replacement by still other inserts, selectively, holding other camera systems in storage.
Abstract: A pair of male and female hinge halves fabricated of extruded metal sections having complemental cross-sectional shapes so as to slidingly interfit and interhookingly engage with one another define a longitudinally extending through opening at one transverse side for the reception of a hinge pin, and interhooking means at the opposite side for interhooking engagement with the complementary shape of an extruded metal frame member of a solar collector frame or the like to be adjustably supported. The interhooking engagement between the hinge halves provides a limited movement fulcrum between the two transverse sides serving to clamp the opposite side interhooking means in secure frictional abutment with the extruded metal frame member when the hinge pin is force-fitted into its through opening.
Abstract: An elongated, rectangular, substantially flat member integrally molded of a resilient, chemically inert, synthetic plastic material is provided with a centrally located transverse groove permitting the folding over of a cover portion thereof against a shallow enclosure portion which is open at the outer end. A synthetic plastic clamp bar pivotally secured at one side of the open end serves to clamp hair strands to be frosted, bleached or dyed against the inner surface of the container. The cover portion enables full enclosure of the hair strands during the process.
Abstract: A protective cover for the window sashes of awning windows is integrally formed of sheet metal and has a reversely-bent, lower marginal edge providing an inwardly-directed, shallow slot for the interhooking reception of the lower edge portion of the sash framework, and a substantially right-angular, inwardly-bent, upper marginal portion adapted to frictionally engage over the top of the window sash framework for retaining the protective cover in place. Upon full closure of the awning window, the upper portion of the covered sash framework locks behind the lower marginal portion of the next higher window sash, or the awning window frame header of the top sash, thereby securely retaining the protective cover.
Abstract: A plurality of elongated, arcuate, molded synthetic plastic members simulating bark board are interconnectable along their longitudinal edges to provide a simulated tree trunk section assembly the ends of which can be interconnected with like tree trunk section assemblies to provide simulated tree trunks of various diameters and lengths, as desired, for growing vines and climbing plants in a supporting, soil containing pot. Brace rods received through openings in the bark board members near the lower ends of the simulated tree trunk, and frictionally retained in adjusted position to extend radially-outwardly in abutting contact with the inner wall of the supporting pot or container, serve to rigidly support the assemblage in erect position within the pot.
Abstract: A device for use in association with a carburetor of the type used for supplying fuel at the intake manifold of a gasoline internal combustion engine has an annular chamber at the exit port of the carburetor, adapted to collect uncarbureted raw gasoline particles or globules for drainage through an external vaporizing system under the influence of the vacuum created at the intake manifold during operation of the engine for reintroduction as vaporized fuel at the intake manifold, thereby converting raw gasoline, otherwise wastefully fed to the engine, into efficiently combustible fuel.
Abstract: An integrally-formed portlight for installation through a sidewall opening in the cabin or hull structure of a marine vessel has an inwardly-projecting, rectangular spigot portion within which a rectangular light or screen can be selectively fitted. The light is hingingly supported along its top edge within the spigot to provide for upward opening to the inside for substitution of a rectangular screen, the screen being received, along an upper marginal edge portion, within the groove between the upper edge of the light, when withdrawn, and a peripheral shoulder formed within the spigot. Lower end portions of the light or screen are clamped in place against the peripheral shoulder of the spigot with use of elongated clamp-screws threadingly received in upstanding brackets secured to outer end portions of the spigot along the bottom wall thereof.
Abstract: A sliding window sash assembly glazed with vinyl film and adapted for easy attachment to framework openings in screened enclosures and the like for use as a wind break under adverse weather conditions is described. Both the window framework and the sash frameworks are fabricated of thin wall-section extruded aluminum members, and to prevent sticking and jamming of the sashes in the frame, improved slide members are removably fitted along the sash side rails and slidingly fitted in vertically-extending, T-shaped grooves formed along the insides of the window frame. The slides are fabricated of a resilient plastic material, hollow along their lengths for the reception of compression springs operative to frictionally press longitudinal side portions of the slide members against inner wall portions of the T-shaped grooves along which they slide.
Abstract: A plurality of stamped sheet-metal louver vanes are supported in relatively fixed, parallel relation at each end by a pair of extruded metal side channel members having longitudinally extending slots into which marginal end portions of the louver vanes are inserted. The louver vanes are securely retained in place with the use of metal clip members supported in through openings in marginal end portions of the vanes, the clip members being operative, upon such insertion of the vane end marginal portions to interhookingly engage inner hook wall portions of the side channel member slots.
Abstract: A generally rectangular, elongated, serpentine leaf spring clip for clamping each of a plurality of radially-outwardly-extending tubular members of a table base to a flanged ring surrounding and enclosing a table top panel is formed with arcuate recesses at each end, one of which recesses is adapted to embrace, in abutting relation, an outer end portion at the underneath of one of the tubular members, and the other end of which extends radially outwardly of the outer end of the tubular member so that when a screw extending through an opening in the spring clip flexes an arcuate portion thereof against its adjacent tubular member, the outer end will be urged outwardly and slightly downwardly to frictionally engage inner wall portions of the flanged ring for clamping the table assembly together.
Abstract: A traffic signaling attachment device for bicycles has a supporting framework securable at one end to the bicycle post clamp, pivotally journaled along which framework is a control rod having a manually actuateable handle at the front end just forward of the seat, and a perpendicularly outwardly-extending signal arm at the other end normally supported in perpendicularly-upwardly-extending position but adapted to be manually set for left or right turn signaling, or caution signaling, with a waving motion actuated by cranking of the sprocket wheel while riding.

Abstract: A mail delivery signal device for detached, rural-type mailboxes wherein an elongated signal arm member, swingably secured along its lower end to a lower front portion of the mailbox so as to lean abuttingly thereagainst at its upper end, falls arcuately downwardly to project beyond the bottom or either side of the mailbox, selectively, upon the door being opened for the delivery of mail, thereby automatically notifying the recipient that mail has been delivered.
