Abstract: A plurality of separable racks for stacking vertically within a sheet metal enclosure of a field barbecue apparatus. The racks permit optimum utilization of a body of still hot air within the enclosure and above the fire box of the apparatus.
Abstract: A hair towel that can be first used as a cape during hair washing and treatment, and then fashioned into a bag about the head by pulling a drawstring. The towel can then be secured to the head by tying the drawstring.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved test composition for the diagnosis of gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastritis, gastric lymphoma and gastric carcinoma by the detection of the bacteria Helicobacter pylori and the enzyme catalase associated with such conditions. The new test composition differs from the prior art agar compositions in being an aqueous solution containing hydrogen peroxide, urea, monobasic sodium phosphate and bromthymol blue as an indicator, and in being far more rapid than the prior art test compositions.
Abstract: A molded pick for handling biopsy specimens which includes an elongated shaft having a tapered blunt short barb at one end and a forked device at the opposite end of the shaft, the forked device having a blunt spatula prong as one fork and a sharp tapered point as the other fork.
Abstract: The invention is an improved cap for a collapsible tube, particularly a tube having tamper evident means as is used on tubes having eye medications. The cap has a flexible substantially cylindrical wall which can be squeezed into an elliptical shape to permit the user to exert substantial force, by means of a "thumb screw" effect, to unscrew the cap from the tube.
Abstract: A hydraulic elevator up direction control system is provided that has a circulating valve connected between the supply and the return of a source that normally supplies pressure to the cylinder of an elevator. The circulating valve is controlled by a computer regulated stepless variable solenoid valve that influences the pilot fluid pressure in the operating chamber of the circulation valve to control the size of the opening of the circulating valve and thereby the volume of fluid passing through the circulating valve. This affects inversely the volume of fluid passing through a fluid flow measuring valve, to the cylinder, to provide selectably variable up speeds of travel facilitating a fast, smooth, accurate ride of the elevator car as it approaches a stopping point relative to an upper floor of a building. Such operation is substantially independent of the system pressure and fluid viscosity. A selectably variable speed down direction control system operates on largely the same principle.
Abstract: A test kit for the rapid detection of the bacteria Helicobacter pylori in gastric biopsy tissue to diagnose gastric disease is described which includes a chemical test composition for the bacteria, a tray-like means including means to visibly display the test composition, means to handle a biopsy specimen and insert it in the test composition, and indicia to determine the results of the test.
Abstract: A combination plastic relatively rigid bite block and soft nasal cannula intended for one-time use for supplying oxygen to a patient's nostrils during an endoscopic procedure. The cannula is fixed into the bite block by an integral clip portion of the cannula extending downwardly from a manifold portion and adhered to the bite block. Flexible nasal prongs extend upwardly from the manifold into the patient's nostrils to supply supplementary gas separately from air breathed through the patient's mouth.
Abstract: A device as described for unstacking thin, flat articles, particularly flexible articles, and especially tortillas, from a stack of the same, which includes means for repetitively picking up the topmost tortilla in a stack and conveying it to a moving belt where it is deposited individually and separately and moved to a further processing operation. The pick up means includes a rotating cylinder having holes in its surface through which suction acts on the tortillas, to temporarily hold them to the cylinder, and belts around and rotating with the cylinder which transfer the tortillas from the cylinder to the moving conveyor.

Abstract: An improved test composition for the diagnosis of gastric disease by detecting the presence of urease associated with H. pylori in a biopsy specimen is described in which the hydrolysis of urea by urease is detected by a combination of at least two dye indicators showing a color change and a positive result at an acid pH, in which the positive color is distinctive from the color of the biopsy specimen, and in which most positive results occur in 2-10 minutes and all occur in no more than 4 hours. Specific compositions are disclosed.
Abstract: A grid beam of inverted T cross section for a suspended ceiling is made from a first strip of metal. A second strip is secured to the bottom of the flange of the beam between flats on the first strip, so that a three-dimensional effect from essentially flat elements results. The second strip can be of a different color as well as a different material or texture than the first strip, so that additionally a color contrast, as well as a material or surface contrast, can be achieved.
Abstract: The present invention is for a method and cam for folding a tab for removing a seal that has been affixed to a collapsible tube in accordance with the method shown in U.S. Pat. No. 4,938,818. A laminate removal tab is cut integral with the seal when the seal is cut, as disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 5,209,795 and then, in accordance with the present invention, bent back over the neck after the seal is welded to the tube mouth, by means of a cam. The tab is easily lifted and grasped by the fingers to pull the seal off the mouth.
Abstract: A hand-held device is described for simultaneously sharpening the points of multiple fish hooks, particularly double and treble hooks in which the concave hook sharpening member is provided with abrasive surfaces for honing the hook points by longitudinal movement of the hook in the device.

Abstract: A box for storing and shipping empty collapsible tubes in upright honeycombed column form, having a body of continuous sides and ends, having a lip at the top and bottom that engages snaps in a groove on top and bottom lids. When disassembled, the box body can be folded flat and the lids nested.
