A second strip is secured in the bottom of the flange of the beam by flats from the first strip, so that a three-dimensional effect from essentially flat elements results. The second strip can be of a different color as well as a different material or texture than the first strip, so that additionally a color contrast, as well as a material or surface contrast, can be achieved.

Abstract: An up leveling control system for small elevators that uses an adjuster having a small orifice coordinating with an up speed metering edge of a separate spool in the form of a taper to meter the rate of flow of pilot oil from a bypass chamber to control the position of a bypass valve and thereby regulate the volume of oil flow proportionately to the elevator cylinder and to the pump reservoir.

Abstract: An improved device for holding and manipulating dental floss for the removal of food particles, tartar and plaque from the teeth is described in which a loop of dental floss is connected between a pair of separate handles; the loop of dental floss being long enough to permit lateral motion across the tooth surface. The devices are either disposable or sterilizable for reuse.

Abstract: The present invention is for a method of forming means to remove a seal that has been affixed to a collapsible tube in accordance with the method shown in U.S. Pat. No. 4,938,818. A laminate removal tab is cut integral with the seal when the seal is cut, and then bent out of the way along the tube neck when the seal is welded to the tube mouth. The seal is easily lifted and grasped by the fingers to pull the seal off the mouth.

Abstract: A machine and process for quickly baking pizza. Dry super-heated steam at about 600.degree. F. is flash-generated in one compartment of the machine by spraying water on metal plates. The steam passes to another compartment of the machine where the pizza rests on a hot metal plate. The pizza is quickly baked from the combined effects of the steam and the hot plate at a temperature in the range from about 650.degree. F. to 690.degree. F.

Abstract: A system for the treatment of nitrate-containing wastewater from home or commercial, not municipal, sources is described in which the wastewater is contacted underground by denitrifying bacteria introduced to the treatment zone periodically; the treatment zone being maintained at or above the temperature at which the bacteria are active on a year-round basis by the ground temperature.
