  • Patent number: 6226570
Abstract: A motor vehicle has devices for temporary automatic vehicle driving and devices for the communication between a vehicle user and at least one electronic communication system. An operating device is provided by which the communication devices can be activated for implementing a communication operation and the vehicle driving devices can be activated for an automatic vehicle driving. When it is recognized that resumption of manual vehicle driving is becoming necessary, the activated vehicle driving devices transmit a take-over information signal to the communication devices, which display this take-over information on a display unit.

  • Patent number: 6225774
Abstract: In an a.c. motor control method and apparatus, operations are carried out at a current controller and a voltage setting using interrupt signals generated in synchronism with maximum and minimum values of a carrier wave at a control device for controlling an inverter for driving an alternating current motor. In operations at the voltage setting part carried out using one of the interrupt signals, a carrier wave is corrected in such a manner that phases of voltage command values gradually come into synchronism with a carrier wave. An integral multiple of the period of the carrier wave becomes the period of the a.c. voltage and current control operation timing is carried out in synchronism with the carrier wave.

  • Patent number: 6223467
Abstract: A motor vehicle sensor arrangement which is used to detect jamming, i.e, an obstruction, at a movable vehicle part which can be moved into an end position, such as an electric window, a sliding and tilting roof, a convertible top, or a servo-actuated door. A cavity defined by opposing resilient walls is located proximate, but outside, the path of movement of the movable vehicle part and at a selected distance from the end position. A distance sensor, for example a pressure transducer, is arranged in the cavity between the resilient walls. When an object obstructs the path of movement of the movable vehicle part toward the end position, the resilient walls are moved toward each other. When the distance sensor contacts a portion of the opposing resilient wall, the distance sensor actuates a response signal indicating a jam.

  • Patent number: 6223514
Abstract: A condensing zone is arranged downstream of the front roller pair of a drafting arrangement of a spinning machine, in which condensing zone a drafted fiber strand is condensed. The condensing zone comprises a sliding surface having a suction slit, which sliding surface serves as a guide for a circulating air-permeable transport belt. The transport belt transports the fiber strand over the suction slit to a nipping roller, which presses the fiber strand and the transport belt against the sliding surface. The perforation of the transport belt presents a risk, namely that fiber fly or other impurities can be deposited between the sliding surface and the supporting surface of the transport belt arranged thereto. For this reason it is provided that the sliding surface has at least one sharp edge, which extends transversely to the transport direction and which scrapes the supporting surface. The sharp edge lies preferably in the area of the supporting surface which covers the suction slit.

  • Patent number: 6226087
Abstract: A method is provided for measuring structures on a mask surface in which the mask is supported on a measuring stage that is interferometrically measurably displaceable perpendicularly to an optical axis of an image-measuring system. A mask coordinate system associated with the mask is aligned using alignment marks relative to a measuring device coordinate system. With set positions of the structures in the mask coordinate system being specified in advance, the positions of at least two external edges of the mask in the mask coordinate system that are perpendicular to one another are measured in addition to the actual positions of the structures in the mask coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 6223728
Abstract: An engine control apparatus controls an intake air flow based on the engine torque or the fuel injection amount. A variation of the A/F ratio and deterioration of a driving “feel” owing to the response delay of air intake against the fuel injection is suppressed. The phase of fuel injection is caused to fit that of the air intake phase by delaying the fuel injection or by speeding up the air intake.
