  • Patent number: 7875030
Abstract: A simplified external bone fixator assembly is provided which allows the surgeon to snap a bone fixation rod into the assembly at any location along the length of the rod. The invention does not require “threading” of the assembly onto the rod starting at the end and sliding it down the length of the rod to the desired location. In particular, a bone pin locking assembly is provided for use with standard bone fixation rods and bone pins. The assembly includes a bone pin vise, a single-piece fixation rod attachment member and a coupling to allow relative adjustment of pin vise and rod attachment member. The single-piece rod attachment member has two opposing jaws that loosely capture the bone fixation rod when the surgeon presses the rod into the attachment member. The assembly may be rigidly fixed to the rod using a bolt which tightens the attachment member onto the rod.

  • Patent number: 7870541
Abstract: A computer implemented method or computer readable code for determining function call history for a system, which runs both code with a frame pointer and a stack pointer and code with a stack pointer and without a frame pointer. Execution is frozen on at least one CPU. A function of plurality of functions that were executing on the at least one CPU is stepped through, where some of the plurality of functions have a frame pointer and a stack pointer and some of the plurality of functions have a stack pointer but do not have a frame pointer. The stack offset to the stack memory location, where the return address in parent function is stored, is calculated to find the return address in parent function, which called the function being stepped through.

  • Patent number: 7867265
Abstract: A bone clamp moving bone segments relative to each other. The clamp comprises a first and second branch and a bridge connecting the first and second branch. The bone clamp may have a first, undeformed state, where the branches may be angled or substantially parallel with respect to each other. The bone clamp may have a second, deformed state, where the branches may be moved from the first state. The bone clamp may be deformed using an instrument such as pliers. When the bone clamp is in the deformed state, the branches may be inserted into bone segments. Thereafter, the instrument may be disengage from the bone clamp and the clamp may return to its undeformed state. While returning to the first, undeformed, state the bone clamp may apply compressive or distraction forces on the bone segments, thereby moving the bone segments relative to each other.
