  • Patent number: 8328264
Abstract: A cargo bin assembly of an automotive vehicle includes a recess that extends below a floor surface. The recess preferably has a stepped conformation where a first, shallow rim portion receives support members without the potential for interfering with items stored in a second, deep storage portion of the recess. Preferably, the deep storage portion is dimensioned to receive side panel lids from side storage assemblies. Removal of the generally planar side panel lids allows elongated items to be received in the cargo area, and the cargo recess allows the side panel lids to be stored. No openings are provided along the lower portion of the side storage cavity to prevent collection of dirt or debris.

  • Patent number: 8330370
Abstract: A compact fluorescent lamp includes an inverted compact fluorescent light source housed within an outer envelope. Locating the first and second ends of the coiled CFL source positions the electrodes within a substantially spherical outer envelope at a location remotely spaced from the ballast compartment. In this manner, only small diameter first and second lead wires that mechanically and electrically engage the electrodes pass through small dimensioned passages in a separation member in the outer envelope cavity. This substantially reduces the thermal stress on the components.

  • Patent number: 8326087
Abstract: As set forth herein, a computer-based method is employed to align a sequences of images. Metadata associated with images from two or more sources is received and a time stamp is extracted from the metadata. The images are sorted into sequences based at least in part upon the image source. The similarity of images from disparate sequences is measured and image pairs from disparate sequences with a similarity greater than a predetermined threshold are identified. A sequence of images is aligned by minimizing the misalignment of pairs.
