    Abstract: A method for removing at least a portion of a structure, such as a layer, film, or deposit, including ruthenium metal and/or ruthenium dioxide includes contacting the structure with a material including ceric ammonium nitrate. A material for removing ruthenium metal and amorphous ruthenium dioxide includes ceric ammonium nitrate and may be in the form of an aqueous solution including ceric ammonium nitrate and, optionally, other solid or liquid solutes providing desired properties. In one application, the method and material may be utilized to etch, shape, or pattern layers or films of ruthenium metal and/or ruthenium dioxide in the fabrication of semiconductor systems and their elements, components, and devices, such as wires, electrical contacts, word lines, bit lines, interconnects, vias, electrodes, capacitors, transistors, diodes, and memory devices.

The method also includes orienting the second thermally conductive substrate opposite the first thermally conductive substrate such that the patterned electrical barrier is disposed between the first and second thermally conductive substrates and providing a precursor gas proximate the nanotube catalyst material to facilitate growth of nanotubes in the nanotube growth areas from the first thermally conductive substrate toward, and limited by, the second thermally conductive substrate.

    Abstract: The present technique relates to a method and apparatus for operating a differential buffer. In the differential buffer, a first stage may include a differential pair configured to receive input signals and generate output signals. The first stage may also include adjustment circuitry coupled to the differential pair and configured to adjust an amount of current dissipated by the differential buffer. Further, a second stage may include current pulse circuitry coupled to the differential pair and the adjustment circuitry, wherein the current pulse circuitry is configured to generate a current pulse that is coincident with the switching of the differential pair. Finally, the second stage may also include grounding circuitry coupled to the current pulse circuitry and the differential pair, wherein the grounding circuitry is configured to receive the current pulse to prevent the output signals from switching during a transition of the output signals.

    Abstract: A two stroke engine of a particular configuration can have its power output increased by running bigger pistons and using ports in the piston skirt through which to conduct compressed air within the skirt through short passages in the cylinder housing that conduct the air from within the skirt to above the piston. As a result a larger piston can be used for the same spacing and opening size in the block to save the need to redesign the block and the crankshaft. A position adjuster for the piston moves it axially without rotation of the piston ports out of alignment with inlet ports in the housing. The piston rod is held in the crosshead using a flat to prevent rotation while an adjuster nut that is turned creates axial movement in the piston rod with a lock nut securing the final piston position.

A gate layer may be disposed around the entire peripheral edge of the detector, and maintained at a common potential with a contact layer, or at a different potential. A passivation or dielectric layer separates the gate layer from the photodiode. Leakage around the edge of the diode that can result from extended exposure to radiation is reduced by the gate layer.

Each subelement has a unit switch cell comprising at least one access switch, at least one matrix switch, a respective memory element for storing the future state of each switch, and a respective control circuit for each switch. The access and matrix switches are of a type having the ability to memorize control data representing the current switch state of the switch, which control data includes a data bit input to turn-on/off circuits incorporated in the control circuit. The sensor array and the switching matrix may be built in different strata of a co-integrated structure or they may be built on separate wafers that are electrically connected.
