  • Patent number: 8033315
Abstract: A casting tool for the production of castings, particularly cores for sand castings, pressure die-castings, and gravity die-castings is provided. The casting tool has a casting tool unit with a casting mold half having a mold recess the contour of which partly defines the shape of the casting, and an ejecting assembly disposed on that side of the casting mold half which faces away from the mold recess. The ejecting assembly has an ejecting rod which extends through an access bore into the mold recess in the casting mold half. An entrainer unit is attached to the ejecting assembly. The entrainer unit and a contact surface provided on the casting tool unit jointly define the maximum distance of the casting tool unit from the ejecting assembly.

  • Patent number: 8025387
Abstract: A heating lamp unit (40) is mounted on a head carriage (10) of an inkjet printer (1). Since the heating lamp unit (40) is positioned very close to an ink drop, which is discharged from the inkjet head (11) and dropped on a recording medium (30), and that the heating lamp unit can directly harden the ink drop with heat, the ink drop can be efficiently fixed. When the heating lamp unit (40) is arranged very close to the inkjet head (11), there are possibilities of generating clogging of the nozzle of the inkjet head (11) and thermal failure of the inkjet head itself due to heat released from the heating lamp (40). Since the heating lamp unit (40) can be efficiently cooled by a cooling mechanism (50) using heat pipes (51, 52), the inkjet head can be prevented from being heated.

  • Patent number: 8026319
Abstract: Dispersible surface-modified carbon black that is surface-modified by causing a functional group on the surface of the carbon black to be bonded to a diol-modified end-containing polymer through a triisocyanate compound exhibits excellent dispersibility in a non-polar solvent, a low-polar solvent, and a resin. The dispersible surface-modified carbon black is characterized in that a surface functional group of the carbon black is bonded to one isocyanate end group of a triisocyanate compound having three isocyanate end groups, and the remaining two isocyanate end groups are respectively bonded to hydroxyl groups of a diol-modified end-containing polymer.

  • Patent number: 8020462
Abstract: A ball screw/nut type linear actuator (1) where a ball nut (32) moves in forward-backward directions by rotation of a ball screw shaft (31) connected to a motor (22), wherein the ball screw shaft (31) is connected and fixed, in a small diameter hollow section (22c) of the motor shaft (22), to the motor shaft so that a part of the locus of the movement of the ball nut (32) also enters into a large diameter hollow section (22a) of the motor shaft (22). The construction eliminates the need of a coupling for connecting the motor shaft (22) and the ball screw shaft (31) and enables the ball screw shaft (31) to be supported together with the motor shaft (22) by bearings (27, 28) of the motor. As a result, a support bearing for supporting the ball screw shaft can be eliminated. Thus, a short and light linear actuator is realized.

  • Patent number: 8020299
Abstract: In a fastening method of press-fitting and fixing an axial end section of a second-stage pinion (1) into a circular opening (21) of a first-stage planetary carrier (2), first press-fitting external teeth (13a), which have an addendum circle larger than an addendum circle of the other pinion part and has a sharp tooth top, are generated through manufacturing of tooth-cutting at an outer circumferential section of the axial end portion of the second-stage pinion (1). Then, a press-fit bore (22) that has a smaller diameter than the addendum circle of the press-fitting external teeth (13a), is formed at the circular opening (21) of the first-stage planetary carrier (2). The press-fitting external teeth (13a) are then press-fitted into the press-fit bore (22) so that tooth tops thereof cut into an inner circumference surface of the press-fit bore (22) to secure fastening strength between the second-stage pinion (1) and the first-stage planetary carrier (2).
