Abstract: A suction arrangement for drawing off a boundary layer on an aircraft comprises a suction arrangement including an outer skin having suction surfaces in critical flow areas, and at least one air breathing engine providing suction. Bleed air is drawn from a comparatively high-pressure region of the engine by means of a branch line and the bleed air is used for driving a turbine of at least one turbo-supercharger assembly. A compressor of the turbo-supercharger assembly or assemblies serves as the suction source for drawing off a boundary layer at the suction surfaces in critical flow areas.
Abstract: A supply system that encompasses a vapor generator, may be used to generate water. The vapor generator is supplied with hydrogen and oxygen, and generates hot water vapor, which may be used for supplying energy and water. For example, using the supply system reduces a take off weight for an aircraft and supply redundancy.
Abstract: A luggage compartment for aircraft comprises a tilting floor, a flap and a suspension device. The tilting floor is designed for holding carry-on baggage and the like, and may be locked in an initial position and may be tilted to another position for easier loading or unloading. The loading edge height may be substantially lower than the initial height of the closed luggage compartment. For example, an interlocking mechanism may couple the opening and closing of a flap and the tilting of the floor from an initial position to the tilted position, such as a three-position handle that prevents release of the tilting floor until the flap is unlatched.
Abstract: A system for processing lead referrals is capable of assigning leads by product line, language and/or availability of the representative. The system is also capable of high lead referral throughput using steps such as filtering repeat visitors to a company from new leads, non-corporate leads from corporate leads, and avoiding requests for information to external databases during black-out times, such as set by registrars.

Abstract: A cocktail shaker uses a motor to cause a container to be shaken. The shaker includes a following member coupled to a following device that is engaged in a directional mechanism, such as a slot or rod. The directional mechanism defines the path and angle of the motion imparted to the container. The throw is defined by the mechanism that transforms rotational motion of a motor to a shaking motion of the container. A mechanism for transforming rotational motion to a shaking motion may include a rotational member and an attachment member pivotally coupled to the rotational member on one end and coupled to the device holding the container on the other end. A combination of throw, path, and motor speed are capable of providing a mechanism for shaking the container that is similar to shaking the container by hand. For example, the motor speed and duration of shaking may be continuously variable or discretely selectable, which may be selected by the user.
Abstract: A method for producing a laminated structure, where the method comprises the forming of a primary laminated structure from a plurality of layers; and the forming of an additional layer, the additional layer comprising an erosion-resistant material, on the primary laminated structure. In addition, such a laminated structure is disclosed.
Abstract: A device to diagnose a vacuum system comprises a pipe with a first opening that can be closed by a hingable cover, and a second opening that is designed to establish a pressure-proof connection to the vacuum system. The diagnostic device may be operated in a volume-flow mode in which the cover is open in order to determine a volume flow in the base body, and in a negative-pressure mode in which the cover is closed so as to allow to draw conclusions about the available pressure difference.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for lining the interior of a passenger vehicle such as an airplane including a honeycomb formation of several honeycombs arranged side by side. At its end, the honeycomb body is supported by a cover layer supported above and below the honeycomb formation such that by means of two cover layers glued onto the honeycomb formation, a layer design of the honeycomb paneling is created, which layer design is arranged so as to extend parallel to the outer skin of the aircraft and follow the curvature of the outer skin. The honeycomb formation used is made of paper or aramide honeycombs or of a mixed combination of both honeycomb types; on whose cross section of the honeycomb body a CFK cover layer is positioned to both ends of the honeycomb bodies. As an alternative, further CFK insulation layers are glued onto the outer surface of the respective cover layer supported above and below the honeycomb formation, which cover layers comprise a CFK or GFK.

Abstract: A method for suctioning the boundary layer at the surface (1) of an aircraft having an air-conditioning system (4), at whose flow-critical points of the surface multiple suction openings (2) are provided, the air quantity suctioned via these being discharged to the atmosphere again via at least one outlet (7) placed in a way favorable for flow, the air quantity suctioned from the surface (1) being fed to the air-conditioning system (4) of the aircraft, via whose outlet (7) the air quantity suctioned is discharged to the atmosphere together with the exhaust air of the air-conditioning system (4), to reduce flow losses.
Abstract: An illumination device is described for a monitoring camera with a plurality of light devices, each having a light device axis. The light device axes of the invention, intersect an optical axis of the monitoring camera. The illumination device can have light devices that emit light in the visible range and/or in the near-infrared range.
Abstract: A device for transporting components for transportation systems between workstations comprises a transport apparatus and a positioning frame. The positioning frame is maintained on the apparatus and has a positioning element capable of aligning the position frame in the workstation. In one example, at least one positioning element arranged on the positioning frame allows alignment of components forming a section of an aircraft that is situated on at least one positioning frame in relation to workstations. During this process, connecting members are inserted into receptacle members arranged in the region of the floor area. The members may be at least partially form-fitted fashion.

Abstract: A passenger seat has autonomous electric power generated by a fuel cell system and humidification provided by the fuel cell system. The fuel cell system may include replaceable fuel cartridges and may power electronics such as in flight entertainment, lighting, comfort features, seat adjustments, communications and other features autonomously or under control of the seat occupant.
Abstract: A drain-mast connector, for use in transportation vehicles such as aircraft, includes an interface pipe which extends through an outer skin of a fuselage of an aircraft via a nipple-like connector. Such a connector allows for simple plug connection of the drain mast pipe and allows less contamination of the fuselage due to grey water disposal. Such a plug-like connection does not require a complicated mounting process.

Abstract: The field relates to a compartment of an aircraft. The compartment is delimited by a section of the outer wall of the cabin, as well as by two identical foldable partition segments that delimit the compartment from adjacent compartments. So that a compartment passenger's compliance with the requirement to fasten the seat belt may nonetheless be verified during the flight, the partition segments are arranged such that between them access openings to the compartment are created.
Abstract: A sound absorbing element, in one example, includes a first wall area, a second wall area as well as a plurality of spring elements. In this arrangement, the first wall area and the second wall area are arranged so as to be spaced apart by a clear space. In one example, the plurality of spring elements are arranged in the clear space and connect the first wall area and the second wall area to each other. By pre-tensioning the plurality of spring elements to a state in which their spring constant approaches zero, significant decoupling between the first and the second wall areas may occur, with accompanying sound noise reduction.
