Abstract: The subject invention relates to a Joule-Thomson cryostat or refrigeration system in which an expansion valve can be commandably actuated to partially withdraw the core of the expansion valve in order to dislodge and flush contaminants that have collected in the valve passageway, to open the expansion valve to increase flow to accelerate cooldown, and to control flow to regulate the amount of refrigeration produced.

Abstract: An adaptor is disclosed for use in connection with a hand truck to engage a trailer. The adaptor comprises a support piece and at least one slot mounted on the support piece. The at least one slot has an open end which is adapted to engage a load bearing platform of a hand truck. A tow bar is mounted on the inside of the support piece and extends upwardly at an angle from the inside of the support piece. The tow bar engages a coupler on a trailer.

Abstract: A quick disconnect buckle made of a strong and flexible plastic such as poly carbonate, the buckle intended for personal or industrial use, with a high degree of strength relative to buckle dimensions achieved through the incorporation of a latch that employs a single large latching plate and mating opening that cover approximately half the face of the buckle.

Abstract: A caddy for storage and transportation of a heavy-duty electrical extension cord, the caddy comprising a reel mounted inside a protective container. A cord is wound on the reel for storage and subsequently unwound for use, the tendency for tangling and twisting characteristic of hand-coiled cords is avoided. Storage inside the container protects the cord against damage during transportation.

Abstract: A toothbrush comprises a brush portion and a handle portion. The brush portion has an elongated portion having brush bristles extending laterally from one end thereof. The handle portion has a top cap which is mounted to the other end of the elongated portion opposite the brush bristles and a base cap positioned opposite the top cap. A spine extends between the base cap and the top cap. A sack is mounted on the spine between the base cap and the top cap, the sack being a readily deformable material. The width of the handle portion decreases from the top cap to the base cap.

Abstract: An apparatus for detecting metal in materials is disclosed. The apparatus has, in combination, a sifter for sifting materials onto a metal detector plate assembly, the metal detector plate assembly having a metal detector plate in electrical communication with a metal detector alarm.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for stabilizing a poultry breast for deboning thereof. The device comprising a mandrel adapted to conform to the shape of the underside of a poultry breast. The device further comprises two prongs mounted on the mandrel which are adapted to engage a V joint between a severed wing bone and a breast bone of a poultry breast.

Abstract: A sparring instrument is disclosed which allows for safe, pain free, full contact training. The sparring instrument comprises a handle and a striking portion having a bushing armature mounted thereto. The bushing armature comprises a tip rod telescopically received within a plurality of telescopically mounted cylinders. The bushing armature is covered by a sheath extending beyond the tip rod. The sheath is covered by a soft, flexible material to its end. The sheath is made of a soft, resilient material whereby the sheath extends from the end of the soft, flexible material when the instrument is bent.

The lug being detachably mounted to a portion of the chain which extends laterally over the tread of the tire mounted wheel of a vehicle. The lugs being means for extracting a vehicle from a snow filled ditch or from ice, mud or sand.

Abstract: A ladder support system for use in securely mooring the top of a ladder to a roof while simultaneously eliminating any destructive contact between the ladder and the roof materials. The ladder support system includes a pair of frame portions which are secured to the roof and which are structured to support opposite ends of a bar. To prevent the ladder from rotating away from the roof when being used, a strap is provided for securing the ladder to the bar. Each frame portion is provided with a blocking means to prevent lateral movement of the ladder when the ladder is supported by the bar. A means is also provided to prevent accidental loss of bar support at each frame portion.

Abstract: A beverage dispensing apparatus is provided for mixing and discharging a beverage made of liquid and powder into a container. The beverage dispensing apparatus comprises a controller which directs a consistent water flow and a predetermined quantity of powder to a bowl having an impeller blade that stores a predetermined quantity of mixed beverage. The dispensing of the beverage is provided by a dumping valve mounted proximate to the bottom of the bowl. The dumping valve dispenses the contents of the bowl into a container when activated. Sensors are mounted in the bowl and connect the outlet pump and powder auger motor to the controller whereby a replacement beverage is made simultaneously with the dispensing of the contents of the bowl.

Abstract: A game for a one or more bettors is played with a standard deck of cards. Each bettor places a wager on either a banker, a player or a tie to participate in the game. One card is dealt to each to the banker and to the player. If either or both of the cards dealt is an ace, then the ace or aces win the hand. If one of the cards dealt is a two, that hand loses unless both of the dealt cards are twos in which case only the tie bet wins. A tres card is then dealt. If the first two cards drawn have the same face value, the tres card is played to the tie. If the tres card is less face value than the two tied cards, both the banker and the player win. If the tres card is greater face value than the two tied cards, both the banker and the player lose. If the tres card is the same face value as the two tied cards, all bets win. If the two cards have the different face values the tres card is played whichever of the two cards has the lower face value.

Abstract: A tool is provided for use in installing irrigation barb emitters in irrigation tubing. The tool comprises a cradle member having a cradle handle and a cradle jaw on opposing ends and a barb holder member having a barb holder handle and a barb holder jaw on opposing ends. The cradle member and the barb holder member are arranged in crossed relation. A cradle mounted on the cradle jaw is suitable for receiving a peripheral portion of an irrigation tubing. A barb holder mounted on the barb holder jaw is a hollow cylindrical cavity formed by two opposing barb holder jaw members. The barb holder has an axis aligned with the cradle with the opposing barb holder jaw members forming a slot opening therebetween. The slot opening is sized to allow snap fitting of the hollow cylinder of a barb emitter laterally into the hollow cylindrical cavity.
