Abstract: Accordingly, the present invention is a soft tire assembly of a thick elastic layer of a foamed elastomer having an outer peripheral surface and cells in the foamed layer that are open to the exterior through the outer peripheral surface, or a mixture of cells open to the exterior and closed cells, wherein the expansion ratio of the foamed elastomer is from 1.5 to 6.0, and the elastomer has a specific gravity of from 0.5 to 2.0. The layer is mounted on a wheel rim, suitably of a metal, having an outer peripheral surface coated with a resin, and the foamed elastic layer is attached onto and about the outer peripheral surface of the wheel rim.
Abstract: Apparatus for detecting indicia on a document, such as a lottery ticket, which is a flat template having two side edges that are parallel to each other, one of the edges also serving as a guide for the document that has indicia thereon to be detected and processed, the guide member disposed along one of the side edges serves to position and guide the document on the template, a substantially L-shaped cutout in the template and having a first leg and a second leg for placement of the cutout over a plurality of indicia disposed in a line on the document, a plurality indicator elements disposed substantially equidistantly from each other each and extending into the cutout, a plurality of number fields each associated with an indicator element, each indicator element or number field being associated with specific indicia on the document.
Abstract: A process for personalizing a mounting plate of a plurality of layers of a mounting plate material and a plurality of layers of fibrous material layered over the layers of mounting plate material, which involves joining the fibrous material layers to the mounting plate material layers by penetrating a predetermined number of wick-like extensions of the fibrous material into the mounting plate material to a predetermined depth in the mounting plate material.
