Abstract: A security method compares a present verbal utterance with a previously recorded verbal utterance by comparing time-frequency domain representations of the utterances, with multiple repeat utterances forming a basis for determining a variation in repetitious performance by an individual, and similar differences between enrollment and challenge utterances forming a basis for a similar analysis of variance between enrollment and challenge utterances. In one embodiment a set of enrollment data is searched by each challenge until either a match is made, indicating an action, possibly dependent upon the specific match, or no match is made indicating an abort. In one application an individual is accepted or rejected as an imposter, in another applicaton, a selected action is accepted as corresponding to a verbal command.

Abstract: A reflector apparatus comprises an upright elongated cylinder having a circular wall closed at one end by a semi-spherical hollow cavity wall, and closed at the other end by a plug fitted within the circular wall of the cylinder and fixed therein, the plug tapered downwardly to an elongated axial stake having a downwardly directed point. A rod extends axially upwardly from the semi-spherical hollow cavity wall for receiving a reflective plate, and a series of reflective stripes are circumferentially positioned in spaced arrangement over an outer surface of the circular wall.
Abstract: A combination includes a tray providing a flat upwardly facing surface and a plurality of raised edges forming compartments on the flat surface. The tray is made, in part, of a material adapted for phase changing thermal absorption such as, so called, blue-ice. A plurality of food containers each have a flat bottom surface adapted for intimate contact with the flat surface of the tray. The containers also provide a peripheral bottom edge adapted for snap engagement with the raised edges of the tray for holding the containers on the tray.
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus comprising a rigid block with two rigid arms such that there is at least one flexible flap extending from each of the arms in mutual convergent attitude and biased toward a center of the space between the rigid arms. The space between the rigid arms provides integral convexly curved surface such that it enables the invention to advantageously accept a downwardly facing surface of the rocker in line contact. The invented device, wedged between a rocker of a chair and a floor surface, receives the rocker in the space between the rigid arms, upon which the flexible flaps, having by construction bias sufficient to grip of the rocker, hold the invention on the rocker so that the chair is precluded from a rocking motion and thus is immobilized. Additionally, the apparatus' surface facing a floor surface is adapted with an anti-skidding device for contact with the floor.
Abstract: A humidifier apparatus has a source of water such as a tank, joined through an inlet valve to a manifold providing water flow from the inlet valve to a vent stack and a mist stack. The stacks extend upwardly from the manifold and are positioned for sharing a common water level. Both stacks are open at their top. An ultrasonic mist generator is positioned below the mist stack and is enabled for generating a mist within the mist stack. The vent stack provides a water sensor enabled for detecting a preferred water level in the vent and mist stacks and for controlling the inlet valve to maintain this preferred water level.
Abstract: A paintball dispensing hopper has an insulating sidewall enclosing a paintball storage space with an open top. A hinged top cover moves between an open position providing access to the open top of the container for filling the storage space with paintballs, and a closed position sealing the open top of the container. All interior surfaces of the sidewall are curved in a manner for directing the paintballs toward a lower frontal dispensing tube. A dispensing valve is engaged with the dispensing tube for dispensing the paintballs by either rotation or linear motion.
Abstract: A portable air moving apparatus for providing personal air cooling includes a container with open top and supported by plural wheels attached thereto. The container encloses electrical components including a battery, a radial flow air moving device, and a switch. These components are interconnected by electrical conductors such that the switch can make and break a circuit for driving the air moving device with the battery. A removable container lid provides an aperture for receiving an air exhaust from the air moving device which is then directed toward an individual to provide cooling. The container lid is adapted for being set to allow air flow into the container so as to feed the air moving device.
Abstract: A separating apparatus for use in hauling logs uses a pressure driven actuating device joined for actuating a pivoted boom adapted for moving from a vertical, log-loading, position on a log-hauling flat bed truck trailer, to a horizontal, log supporting, position.
