  • Patent number: 6547560
Abstract: An orthodontic bite jumping device for use in the treatment of malocclusion or overbite, having a telescoping limiting assembly to prevent an inner cylindrical member from being completely pulled-out of an outer tube as a patient opens their mouth very wide. The outer tube is adapted to be mounted to an upper jaw or maxilla and the inner cylindrical member is concentrically disposed in the outer tube and adapted to be mounted to a lower jaw or mandible. The telescoping limiting assembly limits the distance the inner cylindrical member can slide out of the outer tube via a pair of notches and an L-shaped resilient lever arm. The first notch is formed in close proximity to a free end of the outer tube. The second notch is formed in close proximity to a free end of the inner cylindrical member and has a rear blocking surface and a forward descending slope or ramped surface to a bottom of the rear blocking surface.

  • Patent number: 6484910
Abstract: A bracelet fastening tool comprising a band which fits around the wrist of a user and a resilient, bracelet-securing bracket coupled to the band. The resilient, bracelet-securing bracket comprises a bracelet docking pad having a width which is wider than the width of the band wherein one side of the bracelet docking pad radiates from the band and tapers and arcs to form a hooking implement. Holes are formed in the other side of said bracelet docking pad. A resilient strapping member is tied to the holes and is adapted to hook onto the hooking implement across the bracelet docking pad to secure the bracelet. The band may be elastic or an open-ended or C-shaped spring band made of a flexible metal.

  • Patent number: 6434877
Abstract: A collapsible hunter's blind apparatus, for enclosing a hunter in a truncated triangularly-shaped enclosure, comprising: first and second vertically draping camouflage panels, a first horizontal telescopic frame member for horizontally supporting the first vertically draping camouflage panel, and a second horizontal telescopic frame member for horizontally supporting the second vertically draping camouflage panel. The first and second horizontal telescopic frame members are coupled to the sides of a tree trunk via an adjustable strap member. The collapsible hunter's blind apparatus further comprises an arc-shaped strap member which provides a reciprocating force to counterbalance gravitational forces and the weight of the horizontally supported first and second vertically draping camouflage panels acting on the first and second telescopic horizontal support members, respectively, to maintain each of the first and second telescopic horizontal support members substantially horizontal.

  • Patent number: 6328760
Abstract: A plasma tube is provided in which water vapor, carbon dioxide, molecular nitrogen and a simple hydrocarbon are excited to ionization to emit electromagnetic frequency spectra for exciting electron orbitals of biological tissue. The anode end of the tube is shielded by a cylindrical shield electrically connected to the anode, while a reflector and a transversely polarized magnetic piece direct the spectral emissions adjacent the cathode towards the skin of a person. The tube is pulsed to ionization in a pulse waveform that comprises the frequency domain of biological electrochemistry. In this manner the molecular architecture of a cell is excited to promote the cell growth process.

  • Patent number: 5979010
Abstract: A windshield washer and wiper assembly for cleaning a windshield of an automobile. The assembly is generally comprised of an elongated housing, a source of windshield washer fluid under pressure, a perforated bladder within the housing, means for washing the windshield mounted through the housing in contact with the bladder, a wiper blade mounted on the housing and means for deflating the bladder. The bladder, upon actuation of the washer fluid source, inflates with washer fluid, urging the washing means against the windshield while simultaneously disengaging the wiper blade from the windshield and leaking washer fluid onto the windshield. The bladder returns to a contracted state by the deflating means upon deactivation of the washer fluid source to return the wiper blade to the windshield surface.
