Abstract: Oral compositions such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and the like containing an insoluble bis-biguanide compound which inhibits the formation of plaque and caries with reduced tendency of the bis-biguanide compound to produce a stain on oral surfaces as compared to soluble compounds.
Abstract: Anti-static fabric softening articles and methods which utilize a composition comprising a cationic fabric softener in combination with a "sorbitan ester" as a second fabric softener and release aid. The composition is releasably affixed or incorporated into a dispensing means and applied to fabrics in an automatic laundry dryer.
Abstract: Dry powder antiperspirant compounds are suspended in aerosol compositions by means of C.sub.12 -C.sub.20 aliphatic alkanol amide to prevent agglomeration or packing of the antiperspirant compound in the aerosol container. Octadecyl monoethanol amide is preferred. The compositions are prepared by first dissolving and then precipitating the amide.
Abstract: Dry powder antiperspirant compounds are suspended in aerosol compositions by means of C.sub.12 -C.sub.20 primary aliphatic amines to prevent agglomeration or packing of the antiperspirant compounds in the aerosol container. The compositions are prepared by first dissolving and then precipitating the amines in the presence of the antiperspirant compounds.
Abstract: Skin conditioning compositions of the oil-in-water emulsion type containing 2-pyrrolidinone, wherein a substantial amount of the 2-pyrrolidinone is present in the oil phase.
Abstract: Stable, fluid, hard-surface scouring cleansers containing bleach, clay, abrasive, surfactant, buffer and water. Such compositions combine the stain and soil removal properties of a strong active chlorine bleaching agent and bleach-stable surfactant in a false body abrasive cleanser having desirable chemical and physical stability.
Abstract: A process for making variegated soap bars or cakes. Such bars are prepared by co-plodding differently colored commingled sets of soap noodles having particular diameters wherein at least one set of the soap noodles have diameters of about 1/8 inch or less.
Abstract: Incorporation of particular amounts of certain sorbitan ester mixtures into toilet bars provides products which produce desirable skin benefits. Toilet bars containing these sorbitan ester materials help provide a smooth, soft texture to the skin cleaned therewith and further help to reduce skin scaliness.
Abstract: Oral compositions such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and the like containing specific organic peroxyacids which prevent stain or remove stain rapidly and effectively and processes for preventing or removing stain using said compositions.
Abstract: Conditioning hair by applying thereto an antiserum which is prepared by injecting a suspension of hair particles into an animal, withdrawing blood from the animal, and isolating the antiserum from the blood by conventional means. Also disclosed are shampoo compositions containing said antiserum.
Abstract: Stable, false body hard surface cleansers containing a false body fluid phase; relatively heavy abrasive particulate material suspended throughout the false body fluid phase and relatively light particulate filler material also suspended throughout the false body fluid phase. Such compositions can remain for extended periods of time as homogenous false body compositions exhibiting minimal tendency to form a separate liquid phase layer.
Abstract: Granular hard surface cleaning compositions containing low levels of certain water-soluble or dispersible polymeric materials. Incorporation of nonionizing polymers such as polyvinyl alcohol, and polyvinyl pyrrolidone into hard surface cleaning compositions unexpectedly provides improved soil removal over a variety of surfaces and types of soil.
Abstract: Hard surface cleaning compositions containing low levels of a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinyl pyrrolidone in combination with polysaccharide salts provide unexpectedly improved soil removal.
Abstract: Mild thickened liquid shampoo compositions with conditioning properties comprise anionic surfactants, specific zwitterionic and amphoteric surfactants, polyethoxylated nonionic surfactants and a cationic cellulose ether thickening and conditioning agent.
Abstract: Shampoo compositions which impart luster and manageability to the hair, said compositions comprising an alkyl sulfate or alkyl monoglyceride sulfonate surfactant, urea, dodecyl alcohol and guanidine or a water-soluble salt thereof, said compositions having a pH of from about 5 to about 8.
Abstract: Oral compositions, such as toothpaste, mouthwash, and the like, containing certain anticalculus agents, and a specific anticaries agent which provides anticaries benefits while avoiding adverse effects on silicate filling materials present in the mouth.

Abstract: A fabric-conditioning article adapted to the conditioning of fabrics in a laundry dryer comprising a flexible substrate carrying a conditioning agent removable to fabrics by contact therewith in a laundry dryer and having perforations sufficient in size and number as to permit at least about 75% of the normal volume of air flow through said dryer when said article is used therein.
Abstract: Oral compositions, such as toothpaste, mouthwash, and the like, containing certain polyphosphonic acids and their salts which retard dental calculus formation without damaging tooth structure.
