Preferred acrylic acid esters are ethyl acrylate and butyl acrylate, and the preferred polyalkylene glycol is a polyethylene glycol characterized by a molecular weight in the range of 300 to 2000. The copolymer may also contain units derived from unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acids. Preferably the copolymer contains units derived from itaconic acid.
