A process comprisinga) a two liquor process for treating a cellulosic substrate with alkali and applying a dye to the substrate characterized by pad treating the substrate with alkali and dyeing by pad dyeing or printing with a reactive dyestuff without an intermediate washing step; orb) a one liquor process for treating a cellulosic substrate with alkali and a dye characterized in that the substrate is pad treated with alkali and reactive dye.
Abstract: In an operation wherein a gaseous stream, such as an air stream, is contacted with a liquid selective solvent for a component of the gaseous stream for the removal of said component from the gaseous stream, improved results are obtain, particularly in a direct gas-liquid countercurrent contacting operation, by employing a liquid selective solvent which has a viscosity of less than about 30 centipoises at 77.degree. F. Suitable such solvents include diethyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate, dioctyl adipate, acetyltributyl citrate and diisohexyl phthalate, particularly blends or mixtures thereof.

Abstract: A closure device for connection to a fluid container which has an opening for receiving the device. The closure device has a base section which may sealably cover the container opening. The base section has a spike receiving opening passing there through with at least one air vent on the base section which is spaced from the spike receiving opening. A hydrophobic air filter, is associated with the air vent. Adjoining the base section is an internal cover, which lies over the aperture, covering it and the base section. The internal cover has a pierceable portion which is in alignment with the spike receiving opening of the base section.
