Abstract: A system is provided for operator interaction having a computer for enhanced operation. The computer performs switch debounce operations under program control and performs display refresh operations under program control. The computer is a fully integrated circuit computer in a preferred embodiment having an integrated circuit read only memory for storing a program and an integrated circuit scratchpad memory for storing operands.

Abstract: A calculator system is provided using a stored program data processor and an audio message subsystem to process digital information and to provide audio messages for operator interaction. The calculator system utilizes a digital data processor to execute program routines to process digital information and to communicate with an operator using audio messages. Digital message information is stored in a digital memory and is accessed in response to operator generated signals to provide audio messages.

Abstract: A control system for an electronic data processing system minimizes hardwiring and specialized components and circuits and provides bidirectional communication between a data processor within the data processing system and an operator via intermediary binary digital input and output words. A separate aspect is the provision of a master control panel configuration including means for receiving input and output elements having generalized identities, in conjunction with encoder and decoder means interposed in the circuitry and reducing the interconnections between the panel and the data processing system. The control system converts the status of selector switches and momentary switches to signals representing an intermediary input word. The data processor processs and interprets the signals representing the input word and generates appropriate system responses.

In a passive transponder arrangement, a passive electronic key processes induced or radiated electronic signals to generate a transponder signal for controlling access.

Abstract: Control of illumination with illumination amplifier devices provides a basis for implementing various types of illumination systems. Also illumination amplifiers in closed illumination servo loops provide improved illumination control. An illumination control system provides precise control of camera operations for photographic and photoplotter applications. Illumination amplifier devices are used in conjunction with electronic control circuits to provide flexibility and precision in camera systems, reducing reliance on prior art mechanical devices.Illumination control circuits are presented in the form of digital gates and flip-flops and in the form of analog computational elements to provide illumination computer systems. In addition, a batch fabricated illumination computer arrangement is presented for improved implementation of illumination control systems.Illumination amplifiers are further configured for control of illumination in buildings and automobiles.
