Abstract: A scent-emitting system includes a plurality of cartridges containing scented fluids and seated within pockets formed in a system tray. Heating members are provided for heating the cartridges to encourage the formation of scented vapors and an actuation subassembly is provided for selectively actuating the scent cartridges to release the scented vapors. An internal fan generates an air flow for communicating the scented vapors through housing vent openings to an external environment.
Abstract: A work glove is provided having a flexible magnetic enclosure disposed on the rear surface of a glove body. A plurality of magnets contained within the enclosure are provided for attracting and retaining work components against an exterior surface of the enclosure of the glove for convenient access during a construction or assembly operation. A flexible magnet insulating substrate is provided for insulating adjacent magnets from one another as well as maintaining the magnets in a fixed spaced-apart relationship within the enclosure.
Abstract: A sealed sterile intravenous catheter and needle assembly providing a substantially closed and sterile environment. The sealed sterile intravenous catheter is removably secured to a needle assembly and includes a tubular catheter portion, a catheter nozzle portion, and a gel cap portion aligned axially about a central axis to form a sealed flow passageway therethru.
The gel cap portion includes a hollow gel cap hub having a gel cap formed of an elastic material to substantially seal the gel cap portion of the sealed catheter. Additionally, the needle assembly includes a needle configured to matingly cooperate with the sealed catheter assembly and pierce through the gel cap and sealed flow passageway of the sealed catheter assembly in a fully extended position. The needle will also be structured to fully retract for safe disposal after use.
Abstract: A sliding door closer assembly including an elongated anchor bracket that is attached to a wall section above the trailing edge of a sliding door. One end of a spring is attached to the anchor bracket at a selected point along the length thereof, and the opposite end of the spring is attached to the leading edge of the sliding door. Upon opening the sliding door, the spring is tensioned between the stationary anchor bracket and the advancing edge of the sliding door, and upon release of the sliding door, the tensioned spring pulls the sliding door back into the closed position as the spring returns to the non-tensioned configuration.
Abstract: A work glove is provided having an enclosure, such as a pocket, pouch or like structure disposed on an interior or exterior surface of the glove body. One or more magnets are retained within the pocket for attracting and retaining work components against an exterior surface of the backside of the glove for convenient access during a construction or assembly operation.
Abstract: An electronic scent-delivery system (10) is provided having one or more cartridges (100) filled with scented oil and maintained within pockets (53) of a tray (50) slidable within a tray support member (40) of a housing (20,30,60). Heating elements (76) are provided for indirectly heating the scented oil to an evaporative state, and acutating apparatus (92) are provided for engaging the cartridges to enable the scented evaporate to escape the cartridges. A blowing apparatus (86) provides an airflow over the tops of the cartridges, thereby directing the scented evaporate out of the housing through vents (65) in the housing faceplate (60) and into the surrounding environment.
Abstract: A telecommunications call routing and billing computer system includes a telecommunications network including a junction point including a call routing switching device, and including two call routing links meeting at the junction point and in communication with each other through the call routing switching device; and a call routing simulation network including a junction point simulation computer located at the junction point and in communication with the call routing switching device and the two call routing links.
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing molded simulated stone and wood architectural articles for buildings and homes. The method incorporates a unique mold assembly including a resilient silicone rubber mold supported within a rigid mold cradle/foundation, and a vented lid having a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) interior surface. The silicone rubber mold is initially treated with a liquid polyester gel coating that is cured and then coated with an acrylic/vinyl ester back coating. Once the back coating is cured, a predetermined volume of a modified high-density, natural mineral fiber-reinforced, 2-component hybrid polyurethane liquid expanding composition is dispensed therein and the mold is covered with the vented lid. The system is pressurized and heated to produce a molecularly-fused, lightweight rigid article having the desired architectural shape.
Abstract: A smart fuel injection system for an automobile is provided for use with a multi-port engine wherein engine coolant is utilized, as well as temperature readings within the head of each of the injector nozzles in the cylinders of the engine and a variety of other known engine performance and operating condition data, to carefully adjust and maintain the air-to-fuel ratio of the engine and maximize fuel efficiency. The system includes a multi-cylinder engine having at least one fuel injector, an engine control unit, a plurality of sensors for measuring automobile operating conditions, and coolant control means for continuously regulate the quantity of engine coolant passing to the engine.
Abstract: A fire suppressing water heater system is provided including a fire suppressing water heater system is provided including a water heater, fire detection means, spray means, and water transport means. The water heater will preferably include a cold water intake and a hot water return. The spray means are designed to activate when a fire is present in the proximity of the water heater so as to quickly extinguish the fire. Fire detecting means may be configured to activate the spray means when evidence of a fire, such as heat or smoke, for example, is detected. Furthermore, in the event of a fire, water transport means direct a quantity of water from the cold water intake of the water heater to the spray means.
