  • Patent number: 6056168
Abstract: A fuel tank for a trailer including a tank that is adapted for securement to an underside of a trailer. The tank has a generally trapezoidal configuration with a top face and a bottom face. The top face has recesses formed therein for receiving cross members of the trailer therein. The top face has a filling port in communication with an interior of the tank. A dispensing nozzle is in communication with a fuel pump disposed within the interior of the tank. A deflector shield is secured to the underside of the trailer forwardly of the tank. The shield is dimensioned for covering a forward portion of the tank.

  • Patent number: 6056301
Abstract: A golf bag having retractable wheels and handle including a golf bag having a peripheral shell extending downwardly therefrom. The peripheral shell has an open lower end. A pair of wheels are retractably disposed within the peripheral shell of the golf bag in a closed orientation. A handle portion is provided having a T-shaped configuration defined by a lower vertical segment and an upper horizontal segment. The lower vertical segment is coupled with respect to the pair of wheels. A spring-locking mechanism selectively locks the handle portion with respect to the pair of wheels.

  • Patent number: 6057770
Abstract: A device for detecting water leakage and preventing flooding from a water-utilizing appliance connected to water supply lines with water hoses, comprising a main electric unit which attaches to a power line. The main electric unit includes outlets, into which the power cords of the water-utilizing appliance are plugged, and a plurality of water sensor strips extending from the main electric unit for detecting the presence of water. The water leakage detection and flood prevention device further comprises solenoid-actuated cut-off valves connected between the water supply lines and the water hoses of the water-utilizing appliance. When a water leak is detected by the water sensor strips, a circuit breaker within the main electric unit shuts off, cutting power to the outlets and the solenoid-actuated cut-off valve, thereby disconnecting the water supply and electric power to the water-utilizing appliance in order to prevent a flood.

  • Patent number: 6053279
Abstract: A safety attachment, for use by a worker in preventing a fall from a beam having four parallel flanges and at least one flat surface extending between two of the flanges, comprising a first main member and a second main member. Each of the main members has a U-bend which extends around one of two opposite flanges. The main members each have a joining member extending across the flat surface. A clamp comprises two parallel members and a peak. The parallel members each have an upper hole and a lower hole. One of the joining members extends through both upper holes, and the other joining member extends through both lower holes. A tether is attached between the worker and the peak of the clamp. The safety attachment slides along the beam following the worker, with the beam flanges remaining trapped within the U-bends. If the worker accidentally fell from the beam, said worker's fall would be stopped by the tether.

  • Patent number: 6053187
Abstract: A self cleaning pipe system, comprising a main pipe having a pipe wall which defines a pipe interior, and has a pipe circumference. The main pipe normally carries liquid or semi-liquid substances in a flow direction. A plurality of nozzle arrays are located along the main pipe. Each nozzle array comprises at least one, and preferably three or more nozzle assemblies. Each nozzle assembly includes a nozzle point which is directed through the pipe wall toward the pipe interior. A high pressure water supply is connected to the nozzle points to selectively create high pressure water jets in the flow direction, the jets all aimed at a convergence point. The nozzle arrays are selectively activated and deactivated to create a high pressure wave which clear the pipe of debris, and cleans the pipe.

  • Patent number: 6053372
Abstract: A pump actuated fluid dispenser for selectively dispensing a sporadic or continuous supply of fluid from within a container interior. The fluid dispenser comprises a main body mounted on a cap, a plunger shaft within the main body, and a trigger mounted to the main body and the plunger. A pumping cylinder extends downward from the cap, and houses a hollow tube that extends downward from the main body, such that the bottom of the tube allows fluids to pass therethrough from within the container interior and into the interior of the plunger shaft. A washer is mounted on the hollow tube that moves upward and downward within the interior of the cylinder. The cylinder has a one-way valve, which allows passage of air from within the cylinder to the container when the washer moves upward.

  • Patent number: 6051132
Abstract: An aquarium filtration system intake cover, for use in aquariums having a filtration system having an intake tube having an intake tube mouth and an intake tube outer wall, comprising a net. The net comprises a network of criss-crossing members forming a net surface. The criss-crossing members meet at net member junctions. The net has a net mouth having an elastic band. The net mouth is extended over the intake tube mouth, and the elastic band tightens onto the intake tube outer wall. Spacers extend perpendicularly inward from the net member junctions to space the net surface from the intake tube outer wall.
