Patent number: 6380926Abstract: Disclosed and claimed is a decorative computer pointer device for use in association with a computer. The computer pointer device includes a sealed decorative vessel containing a first liquid, a second liquid and at least one structure, wherein the structure is insoluble in both the first and the second liquids and floats on the first liquid. The first and the second liquids are advantageously immiscible. The first and the second liquids advantageously have densities such that the first liquid is beneath the second liquid, the first liquid, or the second liquid, or both of the first and the second liquids, are optionally colored or colorless. The structure suspended in the sealed vessel is advantageously weighted so it can maintain its upright configuration irrelevant to the position of the sealed vessel, and capable of remaining in suspension when the computer pointer device is in motion. The structure can also optionally be affixed in the decorative sealed vessel so as to remain substantially stationary.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2000Date of Patent: April 30, 2002Assignee: Allure Home Creation Co., Inc.Inventor: Stanley Ho

Patent number: 6315163Abstract: Claimed and disclosed is a sound emitting and dispensing device comprising a pressure-activated dispenser. The pressure-activated device has a top end with means for a user to apply pressure and engage the dispenser and dispense therefrom and a bottom end. The device according to the present invention also has a pedestal including a bottom end for sitting on a surface and a top end having means for optionally and removably receiving the bottom end of the pressure-activated dispenser, and a pressure-activated sound emitting device positioned in the meals for optionally removably receiving the bottom end of the pressure-activated dispenser. The pressure-activated dispenser is optionally removably connected to the pedestal and the pressure-activated sound emitting device is positioned beneath and in direct contact with the dispenser such that when the pressure-activated dispenser is so connected to the pedestal and pressure is applied to the top end of the dispenser, the sound emitting device is activated.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 1999Date of Patent: November 13, 2001Assignee: Allure Home Creation Co., Inc.Inventor: Lu Pao Shu

Patent number: 6262255Abstract: Non-immunogenic biocompatible macromolecular sheet composition are formed from a cellulosic membrane, a binding moiety having a plurality of functional groups, and a glycosaminoglycan (GAG). The binding moiety has the formula of R1—X—R2 wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different. The binding moiety, through functional groups binds the cellulosic membrane with the glycosaminoglycan. R1 is covalently bound to a carbon or an oxygen of the cellulosic membrane. R2 is covalently bound to a carbon, an oxygen, or a nitrogen of the glycosaminoglycan. The binding moiety can be bis-oxyrane, butanediol-diglycidyl ether (BDE), or divinyl sulfone. The cellulosic membrane can be a cellulosic membrane, partially acetylated cellulose and a copolymer of hydroxyethyl-methacrylate with methyl methacrylate, abbreviated as HEMA-MMA. The non-immunogenic biocompatible macromolecular sheet composition can be formed into a pouch to encapsulate cells, tissues, pharmaceuticals, or biological metabolic products.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1995Date of Patent: July 17, 2001Assignee: BIOMM, Inc.Inventor: Marcos Mares-Guia
