  • Patent number: 7331640
Abstract: A control unit 10 controls brake forces of brake systems of a pair of brake operation elements L1, L2 operated independently to perform an anti-lock brake control for eliminating a locked state of a wheel. The control unit 10 applies the brake force to one of the wheel brakes B1, B2 of the brake system which differs from the brake system of the operated brake operation element when the brake operation elements L1, L2 is operated. When one or both of the brake operation elements L1, L2 are operated and so the wheel likely falls in a locked state, the control unit 10 performs an anti-lock brake control on the brake system of the wheel likely falling in the locked state and also performs a brake force application control on the other brake system which is different from the brake system of the wheel likely falling in the locked state.

  • Patent number: 7329457
Abstract: Laminated composite material usable to make articles of manufacture, such as boots or other sports articles in particular. The laminate is a new basic material particularly directed to articles of manufacture having drastic mechanical requirements and which are very inexpensive and lightweight. The laminate has a sandwich structure having a core between two layers. More particularly, the core and the two layers are composites, and at least a portion of the fibers of the core have a mechanical strength significantly lower than that of at least a portion of the fibers of one and/or the, other layers. In a particular embodiment, the laminate has a thickness of 3 mm or less. The layers are sheets of carbon fabric embedded in an epoxy resin, and the core is made from non-woven polyamide micro-fibers having a thickness equal to 0.32 mm. The invention also relates to the manufacture of the laminate.

  • Patent number: 7272173
Abstract: A communication apparatus and method utilizing a Digital Subscriber Line (xDSL) modem that is selectively connected to a central communication apparatus to perform a full duplex communication. A communicator transmits a plurality of Mode Request (MR) signals to the central communication apparatus. The plurality of MR signals requesting that the central communication apparatus respond by transmitting a plurality of Mode Select (MS) signals to the communication apparatus. The plurality of MS signals designate a particular communication mode. First frequencies utilized by the plurality of MR signals and second frequencies utilized by the plurality of MS signals belong to a mutually different band. • Patent number: 7236621
Abstract: Disclosed is a diagnosis supporting system that acquires a reference image signal of a subject that is illuminated with visible light and a fluorescent image signal of the subject that is excited by irradiation with excitation light, calculates a difference between brightness level of a pixel in the reference image signal and brightness level of a pixel in the fluorescent image signal at the corresponding position for all of target pixels and generates an observation image signal by converting the pixels in the reference image signal whose differences are larger than a predetermined value into red pixels. In the case of high contrast, all of the pixels become target pixels to be processed. In the case of low contrast, the number of the target pixels is reduced to ΒΌ of all the pixels.
