  • Patent number: 5825722
Abstract: Timepiece comprising a caseband (2) capable of being elastically deformed whose internal wall (20) has a first protruding part (23, 24) and a second protruding part (28) forming a stop for the movement (50) associated with the dial (52). When the movement is inserted into the caseband, the first protruding part is passed via the rim (56) of movement by the application of pressure (58) on the movement resulting in a separating force of the case band thanks to the specific profile of the first protruding part. Once in place, the movement surmounted by dial is held in a fixed position in the caseband by means of the first and second protruding parts.

  • Patent number: 5759623
Abstract: A method for depositing a thin film of diamond on the surface of a Fe-based substrate comprises the step of pre-treating the surface of the Fe-based substrate prior to the deposition consisting of nucleating carbon atoms on the Fe-based substrate to grow the thin film of diamond. The pre-treatment consists of supersaturating the surface of the Fe-based substrate with carbon atoms and heating it to form a diffusion barrier layer. During the pre-treatment, at least a portion of the carbon atoms are diffused into the Fe-based substrate. During the deposition process, carbon atoms are prevented by the diffusion barrier layer previously formed to diffuse into the Fe-based substrate whereby these carbon atoms remain available for the nucleation and growth of the thin film of diamond.

Abstract: The chip of an invention for an electronic circuit card comprises a semiconductor microplate having an active face provided with contact pads and on which projections are formed of different heights. The active face of the microplate is coated, at least in part, in a layer of insulating material having a thickness that is greater than or equal to the height of the highest projection, said layer being shaped so as to give free access to the contact pads and having an outer face parallel to the periphery of the active face of the microplate. The layer enables the chip to be implanted in a card body while remaining accurately parallel thereto, which is essential to enable conductive tracks to be made subsequently by silk-screen printing.
