Abstract: The invention concerns a mold tool for the production of extrusion blow molded products, comprising at least three mold portions (2a, 2b, 3) which define a mold cavity (4) and of which two are in the form of outer molds (2a, 2b) and one is in the form of a central mold (3). The outer molds (2a, 2b) and the central mold (3) are displaceable from and towards each other in the sense of an opening and closing movement of the tool. The central mold (3) is provided with component holders (11) which can be moved out of and into the tool plane defined by the central mold and are arranged in turn on a carrier (10) which is also displaceable with respect to the central mold (3).

Abstract: A system for positioning an element relative to an articular surface. An embodiment of the system may include a first element having a positional reference relative to an articular surface. The system may further include a second element capable of indicating the positional reference of the first element relative to said articular surface. Of course, many alternatives, variations, and modifications are possible without departing from this embodiment.
Abstract: A novel apparatus and method of differential decoding for use in a communication system such as a cable system. The differential decoding mechanism of the present invention enables the use of the Chase algorithm for Reed Solomon (RS) codes (i.e. non-binary codes). The mechanism is well suited for use in systems employing QAM data modulation/demodulation techniques and that also incorporate use of a differential encoder such as in DOCSIS capable cable modem systems. The differential decoding mechanism is operative to analyze the input to the differential decoder and adjust the decoding action accordingly. The mechanism generates the first and second candidate constellation points needed by the Chase algorithm. Considering the differential encoding, there are four possible constellation candidates. The differential decoder reduces these four possible options to two by eliminating from consideration two of them.
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method and apparatus for accelerating computation of a Hough transform of a plurality of digital images of known width and height dimensions. The method includes determining a plurality of Hough values for each pixel location based on the width and height dimensions. The method further includes generating a lookup table comprising an array of Hough values corresponding to one or more Hough parameters of at least one geometric shape in at least one digital image. Each element in the array of Hough values may be based on a value of one or more Hough parameters and at least one of a height value or a width value. The method may include receiving a plurality of digital images having known width and height dimensions. The method may further include selecting, for at least one nonzero pixel of at least one of the plurality of digital images, the Hough values from the lookup table.
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method is provided. The method of this embodiment provides in response to receiving a packet, looking up a packet characteristic in one of at least one protocol table to determine one or more fields of the packet to use as a hash value, applying a hash function to the hash value to obtain a hash result, and using the hash result to determine one of a plurality of processors on which to process the packet.
Abstract: A projection apparatus comprises a receiver, a processor, and a frame projector. A sensor detects a horizontal position of a user in front of a screen and transmits a horizontal position signal. The receiver receives the horizontal position signal. The processor generates an on screen display (OSD), and superimposes the OSD onto a projection frame. The frame projector projects the superimposed frame onto the screen. During projection, the OSD covers the face of the user.
Abstract: A method for producing back-foamed air-permeable textile products, whereas, instead of providing a film or the like to prevent the penetration of reaction products or foam to the visible face, the pressure created during the reaction is intentionally decreased so that none of the reaction products nor the foam created by the reaction of the reaction products is able to penetrate the textile product. With a product manufactured in this way, the climatic comfort is improved and a better acoustic effect can be achieved. The disclosure also relates to a device which is suitable for carrying out the method and to a corresponding back-foamed air-permeable textile product.
Abstract: A molded decorative yard stake having a basin for containing an animal attractant and a cover removeably locking in place over, and sufficiently spaced from, the basin to permit gradual aerosolization of the animal attractant.
Abstract: A system and method may be used to calculate insulin on board (IOB) for an extended bolus being delivered by an insulin infusion pump. In general, the system and method calculates an extended bolus IOB value for the extended bolus, which takes into account the insulin currently on board from the extended bolus and the insulin scheduled to be delivered by the extended bolus over a subsequent time period equivalent to a duration of insulin action. The extended bolus IOB value may be used to calculate a suggested bolus.
Abstract: A mass spectrometry unit of the present invention includes a mass spectrometry portion that detects ion current values of a gas to be measured according to mass-to-charge ratio, to thereby measure partial pressures of the gas to be measured. The mass spectrometry unit further includes: a control portion for preliminary storing a record of a mass-to-charge ratio of a specific gas that decreases a function of a specific portion of the mass spectrometry unit, in which if an ion current value with the mass-to-charge ratio of the specific gas detected by the mass spectrometry portion is not less than a predetermined value, the control portion outputs a warning signal denoting a functional decrease in the specific portion.
