Abstract: A panel for a portable floor system comprising a rectangular core defining an upper surface and a lower surface extending parallel to the upper surface and lateral side surfaces extending from edges of the upper surface to edges of the lower surface. Frame members are connected to the lateral side surfaces and define outwardly projecting channels. The frame members have opposed spaced parallel horizontal walls defining an upper wall and a lower wall, and further have a transverse connecting end wall for connection to the lateral side surfaces. A laminated graphic layer is integrally joined to the upper surface of the rectangular core and extends over the upper walls of the frame members to conceal the frame members. The channels of the frame members have flanges for releasably securing connecting members for joining a panel to other panels in side-by-side aligned relationship.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system composed of a principal pipe joining a secondary pipe by means of a T, and that at the end of the secondary pipe is located a threaded adapter by which comes to connect a spout that one can to disconnect and clean , and which the threaded adapter comes itself to connect at the external stem of T located on the principal pipe in closing the secondary pipe in order to avoid the accumulation of bacteria or detritus at the inside of the secondary pipe.

Abstract: A grooved construction lumber element for use in constructing lumber structures such as wall framing, roof trusses, load bearing beams, deck and stair railings, and the like, is described. The construction lumber element is comprised of a straight lumber piece having a plurality of spacing grooves disposed in at least one surface of the lumber piece. The spacing grooves have a predetermined depth and are configured to receive therein an associated further lumber element to construct a specific building structure. At least some of the spacing grooves are disposed at common spaced intervals. The lumber element is preferably an elongated straight wood lumber piece of rectangular cross-section and defines opposed flat parallel surfaces and opposed flat parallel side edge surfaces. The spacing grooves are formed in one of the flat surfaces.

Abstract: A slat tensioning mechanism is provided for holding interconnected slats of a louver assembly in a desired angulated position. The slat tensioning mechanism comprises a housing having wheel positioning means for rotationally receiving a bearing wheel. The bearing wheel has an outer circumferential flat wall, and hub means adapted for securement to an end connector of a slat, whereby the bearing wheel and the slat rotate together. A tensioning arm assembly is pivotedly engaged to the housing and has an arm disposed at a predetermined location with respect to the outer circumferential flat wall of the bearing wheel. The arm has a friction surface at a free end thereof for applying a pressure on the outer circumferential flat wall of the bearing wheel for frictionally arresting the bearing wheel at the desired position. The slat tensioning mechanism is adapted to be disposed in an upright of the louver assembly.

Abstract: A dispenser for toilet paper rolls each having a hollow tube core section on which paper is rolled, comprises an upstanding elongated container defined by a peripheral wall and a base portion at a bottom end thereof. A removable cover portion is at an open top end of the elongated container. The peripheral wall has an aperture defined therein. The elongated container comprises a circular shaft extending axially therein adapted for receiving paper rolls stacked one on another such that the paper rolls can rotate thereabout. An abutment plate is disposed in the elongated container on a biasing spring and is free to translate longitudinally on the circular shaft in the elongated container. The abutment plate is adapted for receiving a bottommost paper roll of the stacked paper rolls thereon.

Abstract: A fluid pressure hose coupling for connecting a flexible hose to a pressurized fluid line. The coupling has a connecting end section for securement to a pressurizable line and a cylindrical nipple end section for securing an end section of a flexible hose thereto. The nipple end section has a tapered cone-like outer surface having a larger outer diameter section at a free end thereof. A cylindrical hose clamping sleeve is positionable about the nipple end section and also has an inwardly tapered inner surface whose diameter is larger at the front end thereof and wherein the inner surface of the clamping sleeve and the outer surface of the cylindrical nipple end section extend parallel to one another.

Abstract: A truck and trailer hub of the type having a cylindrical portion defining an aperture, whereby the hub is adapted for mounting on a spindle of an axle such as to be free to rotate on the spindle. The hub has a flange projecting outwardly from an outer surface of the cylindrical portion. The flange comprises throughbores therein, whereby the flange is adapted for securing a wheel and brake drum assembly thereto, such that the wheel and brake drum assembly can rotate with the hub and brake therewith when a brake member of the axle is actuated on a portion of the wheel and brake drum assembly by a cam shaft. The flange has at least one notch therein such that the cam shaft may be removed by pulling it through the notch without the hub requiring to be removed from the spindle.

Abstract: A press brake is comprised of a frame having a bed secured thereto with a ram displaceable to and away from the bed whereby to form metal sheets positioned on the bed. The ram is secured to a hydraulic piston through opposed symmetrical linkage assemblies. Each linkage assembly is connected adjacent opposed ends of the ram and includes a lever member pivotally secured to the frame by an anchor pin pivot connection. A link arm interconnects the lever member to the ram by pivot pin connections adjacent opposed ends of the link arm. An interconnecting bar interconnects the lever member of each linkage assembly together by a further pivot pin connection adjacent opposed ends of the interconnecting bar.

Abstract: A stand-alone refrigeration enclosure is comprised of a sealed housing having a solid floor, a roof and sidewalls. Air conditioning equipment is provided in the housing to maintain an internal predetermined temperature range in the housing during seasonal periods. Refrigeration, electrical and auxiliary equipment is disposed in the housing and accessible for maintenance from outside the housing through access doors. Surveillance and monitoring equipment is also provided in the housing for remote visual access and control of the equipment. The housing is also provided with a shielding enclosure to shield a working person from inclement weather conditions when working on the equipment from outside the enclosure through access doors.

Abstract: A water table used for cutting metal is comprised of an array of slat bars, a floor part below the array of slat bars, a movable platform further below the floor part. The movable platform, by the use of height changing means, will move in order to change the volume available inside the water table which results in the actual lowering or raising of the level of water inside of the water table.

Abstract: An apparatus for deboning a piece of meat having an elongate bone portion, such as a loin piece provided with a spine portion, comprises an elongate support mounted on a frame for receiving the loin its spine portion being substantially aligned with a longitudinal axis defined by the support, and a plurality of press devices mounted on the frame for maintaining the piece of meat in a predetermined cutting position on the support. A first embodiment makes use of a cutting tool including an elongate shearing knife having a base portion pivotally mounted on the frame and an inwardly arcuate section defining a longitudinally extending cutting edge.

Abstract: A compact cigarette making machine for compacting and inserting a quantity of tobacco into a preformed cigarette tube is described. A tobacco receiving member is slidably retained within a base and movable longitudinally thereon to load tobacco into a cigarette tube secured to a nipple at its forward end. A cover is pivotally secured to the rearward end of the tobacco receiving member and slidable therewith with respect to the base. The cover is pivotally movable from an open position to a closed position overlying the tobacco receiving member. The cover is substantially of the same width as the base and has a pair of opposed inner tongues engagable under a respective elongated flange which projects inside the open channel-shaped base from opposed side walls thereof when the tobacco receiving member is retracted rearwardly over the base. Accordingly, the cigarette making machine is very compact in dimension and can be easily carried by a user person.

Abstract: A vertical air blowing fan having an air filter is described. The vertical fan has an elongated housing provided with a foot support for maintaining the housing upright. The housing is provided with an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening. A cylindrical fan is provided in the housing for drawing ambient air in the inlet opening and out through the outlet opening in a substantially tangential path inside the housing to create a substantial airflow in an area outside the housing. A filter retention member secures a filter frame curved over and against the air inlet opening. The air filter membrane is removably engageable across the opening. The filter membrane is capable of holding its shape when held in position. The filter membrane is retained outwardly curved tight against the air inlet opening of the housing wall whereby the filter delineates a convex shape against the air being drawn into the inlet opening to resist deformation.

Abstract: A multiple-slide die-casting machine is equipped with improved mechanical structure and unique injection control system to improve the quality of molded products, to achieve flash free castings of improved surface finish. The clamping assemblies are mounted on one side of a base plate of the machine for applying clamping force to the mold sections in a preloaded state. A reinforcement ring interconnects the clamping assemblies to inhibit deflection of the base plate and the brackets which support the clamping assemblies so that an accurate parting line between the contacting surfaces of mold sections is insured.

Abstract: A combination space and hot water heater is comprised of an inner tank having an outer casing spaced therebout with insulation being interposed between the casing and the inner tank. The inner tank has a glass-lined inner surface and a heater is provided within the inner tank for heating a same volume of water within the inner tank. An anode is provided within the inner tank. A closed water circulating circuit is connected to the inner tank for circulating hot water from the tank through heat exchange means connected in the closed water circulating circuit. Preferably, but not exclusively, the heat exchange devices are radiators.

Abstract: A hydro massaging tub is used for massage treatment wherein the treatment is performed by ozone-mixed warm air or water jets distributed adjacent the bottom wall of the tub all about its circumference. Ozone generated by an ozone generator is injected in an air distribution duct to sterilize the air distribution system and help clean the skin of the bather's body. The oxygen liberated in the water and the air improves the quantity of oxygen in the bather's environment so that oxygen intake through the skin and lungs is facilitated. A mobile air jet and section control of the air jets enable the bather to massage selective body areas with adjustable intensity of sections of the massage to achieve a desired effect. In one embodiment, orientable valves are mounted in the air jet holes for adjusting the orientation of the air jets. In another embodiment, optical fibers or light emitting diodes are provided to emit light frequencies in the water turbulence for physiological and therapeutic effects.

Abstract: A high-speed dental drill is comprised of a hand piece having a drill head at an end thereof. A turbine assembly is supported in a turbine chamber inside the drill head. The turbine assembly has a chuck which is rotatably secured between bearings. An impeller is secured about the chuck and aligned with an air inlet port in a sidewall of the turbine chamber. An exhaust port is provided in the sidewall to exhaust air. An air conduit is provided in the handpiece to direct air pressure to the air inlet port to drive the turbine and rotate the chuck. The chuck has a work bit engaging free end which is exteriorly accessible. An insert is secured to the drill head and provides access to the turbine chamber. The insert has a smooth conical tapered circumferential external sidewall for frictional engagement by a mating conical bore of a key for the removal and connection of the insert. The exhaust port has a non-circular cross-section in which the aspect ratio of the exhaust port is not equal to one.

Abstract: An ejectable safety seat structure is comprised of an outer rigid shell for securement to a vehicle. An inner protective shell is connected to the outer shell by impact force detachable elements which are removably securable to the inner shell. A harness is secured to the inner shell for detachably securing an occupant therein having a weight within the range of from about 25 pounds to 100 pounds. The impact force detachable elements automatically disconnect from the inner shell when the detachable elements are subjected to a predetermined force upon impact of the vehicle.
