  • Patent number: 6460783
Abstract: Nozzle spray apparatus includes a turbo chamber into which fluid flows and out of which fluid flows to a nozzle. The inlet and outlet apertures or orifices are misaligned from each other and the outlet orifice or aperture is larger than the inlet orifice or aperture, thus allowing the pressure in the chamber to decrease and allowing fluid droplets to form as they flow out of the chamber. The apparatus includes both selectable quantity and droplet size capabilities by means of a selector plate rotatable relative to a base and having a plurality of metering apertures and the turbo chamber in a nozzle holder plate. The nozzle holder plate is rotatable relative to the base and holds a plurality of nozzles, any of which may be aligned with a desired aperture in the selector plate.

  • Patent number: 6386729
Abstract: The apparatus disclosed and claimed herein comprises an outdoor lighting fixture having a post extending down into the ground, with a short length of the post extending up above the ground. A lighting fixture, which receives a lamp, is disposed on the upper rim of the ground post. An upper post or lens diffuser is in turn disposed on the fixture, and an outer post housing is disposed over or about the ground post, the fixture, and the upper post or lens diffuser. A lens is appropriately secured to the upper post and lens diffuser and to the outer post housing. If desired, the ground post may be disposed on the surface of the ground or on a hard surface, such as a deck, or the like. Moreover, a weed guard and stabilizer cylindrical element may be disposed about the housing and on the ground to help prevent inadvertent damage from lawn care equipment, inadvertent bumping, and the like. The fixture, of course, may use a compact fluorescent lamp, an incandescent lamp, or any other desired light emitting element.

  • Patent number: 6381823
Abstract: A method of forming a gas tank includes forming two halves and welding the halves together. Two types of welds are used, tack welds for holding the complete welds after different steps have been taken to the tack weld elements or parts, and stitch welds to complete the welding of the two halves. Reinforcement is added where necessary. Double tanks, for both gasoline and oil, are also fabricated of essentially the same method steps.

  • Patent number: 6367540
Abstract: A portable housing holds a quantity of ice and the melt water from the ice or cooled water or cooled liquid is circulated through a heat exchanger. A blower circulates air from the room through the heat exchanger and back into the room for cooling the room. The housing includes a relatively large chamber for holding the ice and a relatively smaller chamber in which the blower is disposed. Melt water from the ice, or cooled water or cooled liquid, is pumped through the heat exchanger and from the heat exchanger the liquid flows by gravity back to the ice and water chamber.

  • Patent number: 6327816
Abstract: Christmas tree stand watering apparatus includes a water container which may be located somewhat remotely from a Christmas tree stand and then a conduit extends from the container into the Christmas tree stand. In the embodiment illustrated, the container comprises a pair of reservoir elements, with a connecting conduit connecting the two reservoir elements. A relatively long conduit extends from the connecting conduit to the Christmas tree stand. A pump, with appropriate check valves, is disposed in the conduit for starting the siphon action from the container to the Christmas tree stand. An element, which may be metallic element, is disposed in the conduit to keep the bottom of the conduit from contacting the bottom of the Christmas tree stand and the element extends upwardly within the conduit to provide a stable and secure routing path over the top wall of a stand.

  • Patent number: 6287047
Abstract: Ramp apparatus conveying water across a thoroughfare includes a block having a pair of ramp elements and liquid carrying bores extending through the block. A pair of manifolds are connected to the ends of the block. The apparatus is designed to be disposed across the thoroughfare or roadway, and accordingly has a relatively low profile for ease of traffic problems as traffic moves over the ramp apparatus. At the same time, the apparatus is able to carry a substantial amount of fluid or liquid, such as water, from one side of the thoroughfare to the other side. A plurality of blocks may be secured together to span roadways of any length.

  • Patent number: 6286458
Abstract: Housing for a domestic animal is in the configuration of furniture. Within the housing or enclosure is a litter box. A shelf support may be used to hold the litter box or the litter box may be disposed below the shelf support. The use of the shelf support prevents litter from being thrown out of the enclosure during use. A flap covers an opening at one end of the enclosure and the animal moves into and out of the enclosure through the flap covered opening. This hides the contents of the litter box and helps to eliminate odor. This furniture provides a more sanitary approach to the litter box problem for indoor cats and their owners. Also within the enclosure is a storage area for items which pertain to the animal.

  • Patent number: 6257175
Abstract: Hydrogen and oxygen gases are generated for use in an internal combustion engine in a vehicle using the electrical system of the vehicle to provide current for the electrolysis process to generate the hydrogen and oxygen gases. The electrolysis process to eliminate oxygen and hydrogen gases occurs only while the engine is being operated and terminates when the engine stops. The hydrogen and oxygen gases are collected separately in the generator apparatus and flow separately in their own conduits to the intake manifold of the engine. Water in the generator apparatus is replenished from a reservoir as the water is used, and the water is accordingly kept at a desired level in the generator apparatus.
