Abstract: A golf putter head includes two portions, a front striking plate portion and a rear plate portion to which the shaft is secured. The front plate is secured to the back plate only at the opposite ends or poles of the two portions of the putter head. For a one piece head, machining of the head provides the polar configuration.

Abstract: Multiple nozzle spray head apparatus includes a base element and a nozzle selector plate rotatably secured to the base element. Different nozzle tips may be secured to the nozzle selector plate for delivering different quantities of spray. The nozzle selector plate includes a blank portion which represents or defines an off position for the apparatus. The nozzle selector plate may be rotated as desired to align a delivery port on the base element with a desired nozzle tip. Different embodiments of nozzle selector plates are disclosed. The base element may be secured to a quick disconnect unit for ease of replacement. The base element may include a groove which matingly engages locking elements on the quick disconnect unit, if desired.

Abstract: Circuit panel rack apparatus includes a hanging rack having a slot with a sloping surface. A roller is movable along the sloping surface. The roller moves downwardly along the sloping surface to hold a circuit panel in the rack, and the roller moves upwardly along the sloping surface to release the panel. The upward movement of the roller along the sloping surface is caused by the upward movement of a stem secured to the roller. The roller is biased downwardly along the sloping surface and against the circuit panel by a compression spring disposed about the stem.

Abstract: Gun sight apparatus for day and night viewing includes three units, a base unit including an objective lens assembly and a windage and elevation assembly. An erector lens assembly is disposed within the windage and elevation assembly. An aiming reticle is located between the objective lens and the erector lens at the first focal plane. A second focal plane is located behind the base unit. For daytime viewing operations, a daytime unit, including an ocular lens assembly, is secured to the base unit. For nighttime viewing operations, a night vision unit, including an image intensifier tube, is secured to the base unit. The face of the image intensifier tube is located at the second focal plane when the night vision unit is secured to the base unit.

Abstract: Barbeque apparatus includes a firebox cantilevered outwardly from a base and a counter-weighted lid pivotally secured to the firebox. The counter-weight for the lid is movable in a portion of the base. A counter-weighted grill is pivotally secured to the firebox. The barbeque apparatus may be conveniently operated by a user in a wheel chair. The firebox includes a heat shield to protect users.

Abstract: Container apparatus includes a container for a liquid and a hose or conduit connected to the bottom of the container through which liquid flows outwardly. The hose or conduit extends upwardly along the side of the container for storage purposes and is moved outwardly and downwardly to allow liquid to flow from the container through the hose or conduit. Different embodiments are illustrated, with the upper or discharge end of a hose or conduit secured to a breather spout for storage purposes and removed therefrom for draining the liquid from the container. The container apparatus includes a handle, and the handle includes a slot which receives the hose for storage purposes. The handle accordingly is disposed adjacent to the breather spout. Shutoff elements or valves are disclosed in two embodiments which serve as a double security for preventing the draining of the liquid inadvertently. The valve elements must be rotated away from their storage position in order to allow liquid to flow.

Abstract: Scope cover apparatus includes a generally cylindrical element made of stretchable material with end pieces and with a relatively narrow and elongated opening through which a scope fits into the scope cover. The material out of which the scope cover is made is elastic enough to stretch to fit onto a scope and yet to substantially cover the scope when the scope cover is placed on the scope for maximum protection.

Abstract: Reducing apparatus includes a bottom rotor rotatable at a relatively high speed to provide relatively high centrifugal and G forces for reducing material disposed on the rotor. An upper conical element is disposed above the rotor and is free-wheeling relative to the bottom rotor, and thus rotates in response to rotation of the bottom rotor. Material to be reduced moves downwardly onto the bottom rotor through the conical element. High centrifugal and G forces resulting from the high rotational speed of the bottom rotor move the material outwardly to impinge upon the conical element for reduction. Vertical spacing between the two rotating members may be adjusted for varying the degree or extent of the reduction. The axes of rotation of the two members may be offset to provide additional G forces and a scrubbing action.

Abstract: Folder apparatus for holding and positioning a plurality of transparencies for projection by an overhead projector includes a base panel with two wing panels extending outwardly and in opposite directions from and secured to the base element. The transparencies are disposed against one wing panel and are movable from the position against the one panel to a position on the base panel for projection, and are movable from the projection position on the base panel to a storage position against the other panel. Transparencies include a base element with extensions through which extend holes or apertures. The holes or apertures receive guide rods which are secured to the base panel. The transparencies move on the guide rods. A gradual reveal frame for gradually revealing material on the transparency being projected is also disclosed.

Abstract: Removable bulletproof apparatus for a vehicle includes a flexible curtain secured to a door of the vehicle. The flexible curtain is secured to a frame below a window in the door. The curtain is bullet resistant. The curtain may be easily installed and easily removed from the door. The curtain is made of layers of fibrous material, such as woven cloth, preferably of an aramid fiber, such as a "Kevlar" cloth, or "SPECTRA SHIELD" material. A bullet resistant flap of the same material as the curtain pivots on the curtain.

Abstract: Prosthetic shock absorber rotation apparatus for a prosthetic leg includes an outer cylindrical element which may be secured to a prosthetic foot and a tubular member which extends in the opposite direction and which may be secured appropriately at an attachment location above or below the knee. A sleeve is disposed in the two members and a bushing is secured to the tubular member and moves with the sleeve. Extending between the sleeve and the outer cylindrical element are elastomeric elements. The elastomeric elements are disposed within the sleeve and bear against a wall in the outer cylindrical element to absorb shocks. A spring element attached between the outer cylindrical element and the tubular member allows limited rotational flexibility.

Abstract: Batting practice apparatus includes a variable speed motor connected to a rotatable shaft by a belt, and the rotatable shaft includes a pair of arms extending outwardly from the shaft. At the outer ends of the arms are cords connected to the shaft, and balls are secured to the outer ends of the cords. The motor is a variable speed motor, and the motor rotates the shaft to rotate the arms and the balls. The shaft is secured to a base, and the base is tiltable so that the arms may move in a tilted plain, as desired, to provide different orientations of the balls to a user practicing batting with the apparatus.

Abstract: Portable metering and mixing apparatus includes a trailer having a hopper thereon divided into two compartments, one compartment for sand material and another compartment for cementitious material. Screw conveyor assemblies, or auger assemblies, receive the materials and convey the materials to a mixer assembly. Different embodiments are disclosed. One embodiment includes a mixing chamber aligned with an auger assembly and to which the mixing chamber materials are fed directly. Another embodiment discloses a separate mixer assembly to which the materials are conveyed by a pair of auger assemblies.

Abstract: A marine engine is provided with an drive unit which incorporates a water impeller to supply water to the marine engine in order to maintain proper engine cooling. An impeller tester of the present invention is connected to the drive unit to measure the pressure of the input and output of the impeller. This allows an operator to determine if the impeller will produce sufficient pressure for cooling the engine.

Abstract: Door apparatus includes a perimeter frame and material inwardly from the perimeter frame has been removed from both sides of the door asymmetrically to allow the inner portion of the door to warp in response to temperature and/or humidity conditions without affecting the planar nature of the door perimeter frame. The perimeter frame remains in its original, planar, configuration so as to remain true regardless of the warping of the interior portion of the door due to temperature and/or humidity. The method of making the door includes the asymmetrical removal of the material from the inner portion of the door inwardly from the perimeter door frame on both sides of the door to provide relatively thin webs between relatively thick door portions.

Abstract: Hand truck or dolly apparatus includes a main frame and a pair of main tires and brake elements secured to the main frame, including a pair of plates movable against the tires. The brake plates are actuable either by a foot operation or by hand operation. The brake plates may be set only by foot operation, while the hand operation of the brakes moves the brake plates against the wheels for a "feathering" brake action. The dolly apparatus also includes a pair of rear stabilizer wheels disposed on a frame pivotally secured to the main frame of the dolly or hand truck. The stabilizer wheels are movable between a down and use position and an up and storage position.

Abstract: A portable housing holds a quantity of ice and the melt water from the ice or cooled water or cooled liquid is circulated through a heat exchanger. A blower circulates air from the room through the heat exchanger and back into the room for cooling the room. The housing includes a relatively large chamber for holding the ice and a relatively smaller chamber in which the blower is disposed. Melt water from the ice, or cooled water or cooled liquid, is pumped through the heat exchanger and from the heat exchanger the liquid flows by gravity back to the ice and water chamber. An alternate embodiment is disclosed in which there is a closed loop liquid heat exchange system by which a coil is disposed beneath the ice and is cooled. A pump continuously circulates the liquid in the closed loop, with the heat exchanger through which air is blown is part of the closed loop system. The apparatus may also be used as a portable heater by using hot water instead of cold water in the heat exchanger.
