Abstract: A multi-directional sound emission means and a system having same are disclosed. The system comprises a speaker body and sound emission devices coupled to both ends of the speaker body. The sound emission devices each include a sound emission means for directionally emitting sound towards multiple directions. The sound emission means includes a base, a loudspeaker disposed on the base, and a plurality of hollow mechanical sound conducting elements. The loudspeaker has an opening where the sound is emitted. Each hollow mechanical sound conducting element has an inner opening end and an exterior opening end opposite to the inner opening end. The exterior opening ends are directed towards desired multiple directions, respectively. The inner opening ends are in sound communication with the opening of the loudspeaker such that sound from the loudspeaker is emitted along the desired multiple directions through the sound conducting elements.
Abstract: A plurality of power supply circuits Z1? are provided according to a load capacity. The power supply circuits Z1? have sides connected in parallel on the side of a direct current input Vi and have sides connected in series on the sides of alternating current outputs Ao. A rectifying circuit DC1 is connected via a resonance circuit Z2 across a combined output of the serially connected sides of the power supply circuits Z1? on the sides of the alternating current outputs Ao. Switching frequencies are simultaneously controlled by a single control signal outputted from a control circuit S1 based on a direct current output voltage detected from the rectifying circuit DC1 through a detection resistor R5.

Abstract: A safe area voltage and current interface is provided that includes an antenna and mode selection unit, an antenna tuner unit and an interface unit. The antenna and mode selection unit determines a frequency mode and an antenna mode for an output signal. The antenna tuner unit is directly connected to the antenna and mode selection unit and is configured to tune the output signal based on the frequency mode and the antenna mode determined by the antenna and mode selection unit. The interface unit is directly connected to the antenna tuner unit and is configured to ensure that a current and voltage level of the output signal does not exceed an intrinsically safe current and voltage level, while maintaining the peak current level of the output signal to a level sufficient to drive an electronic component disposed in an unsafe environment.
Abstract: Method for applying a reinforced composite material, such as a fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) laminate or a steel reinforced polymer (SRP) laminate or a steel reinforced grout (SRG) composite, to a structural member. The method comprises the steps of: applying a curable adhesive to a surface of the structural member and/or a surface of the reinforced composite material, and bringing said surfaces into contact. A pre-stressing force, Pmax, is directly or indirectly applied to the reinforced composite material. The pre-stressing force, Pmax, to which a treatment length, LT, of the reinforced composite material is subjected is then decreased so that the reinforced composite material along the treatment length, LT, will be less pre-stressed than the reinforced composite material adjacent to the treatment length, LT, when the adhesive has cured.

Abstract: A computing architecture and network topology definition module which provide the ability to tailor a hardware network topology to differing needs. Computing resources are interconnected into a network implementation using an optical wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) star/coupler approach. The overall topology for the network is defined by the network topology definition module, which is a removable device that defines the network topology and communication connectivity between the computing resources. Replacement of the network topology definition module with a different network topology definition module changes the network topology and communication connectivity, allowing the computing resources to be tailored to particular needs.

Abstract: A multi-stage receiver comprises an input stage, an intermediate stage, and an output stage. The input stage is configured to provide a first signal and a second signal. The intermediate stage is coupled to the input stage and comprises a first amplifying circuit and a second amplifying circuit. Positive and negative input terminals of the first amplifying circuit receive the first signal and the second signal, respectively. Positive and negative input terminals of the second amplifying circuit receive the second signal and the first signal, respectively. The output stage is coupled to the intermediate stage and configured to generate low-skewed differential signals according to output signals of the intermediate stage.

Abstract: An infant swaddle blanket that includes a torso wrap section with wings and a leg pouch for the infant's legs. The torso wrap section is designed to wrap around the infant's torso for swaddling. The swaddle includes various hook and loop fasteners which facilitates swaddling and makes the swaddle easier to use, as well as making the swaddle safer to use by providing a more secure, adjustable fit. External hold-down straps augment hook and loop closures on the wings. The leg pouch permits the infant's diaper to be changed without unwrapping the torso wrap section, thereby facilitating diaper changes.
Abstract: In a recording medium including stacked recording layers, management data requiring reliability is recorded in the recording layer far from the surface of the recording medium and data bodies are recorded in the recording layer close to the surface of the recording medium. Thus a data file can be read even if defects such as fingerprints and scratches occur on the surface of the recording medium.

Abstract: Saddle warpage of a wiring board at the time of reflow soldering is reduced by canceling out a difference in thermal expansion amount between wiring layers with anisotropy due to variations between the wiring layers in the proportion of copper remaining in the wiring layers C and non-uniformity of wiring elements by a difference in thermal expansion amount with anisotropy between resin base material layers produced according to the material of fiber bundles forming a warp or a weft in at least one resin base layer B, different from the material of other fiber bundles.
Abstract: The invention discloses an Ochrobactrum sp. for degrading TBBPA and its application in environmental remediation. An Ochrobactrum sp. for degrading TBBPA was isolated from the sludge in a high risk area of electronic waste in the invention. The strain is named as Ochrobactrum sp. T, which has been deposited in China Center for Type Culture Collection (CCTCC) on Oct. 28, 2009 with an accession number of CCTCC M209246. Ochrobactrum sp. T obtained in the invention has high degradation capability to TBBPA in environment. The degradation efficiency of the strain achieves 96.2%. The strain could be applied to degrading TBBPA in environmental remediation.

Abstract: The present invention provides a filter unit panel in which the generation of an organic gas derived from an adhesive can be suppressed although a plurality of filter units each having a frame body made of a resin member and an outer frame that surrounds these units are used together. This filter unit panel includes a plurality of filter units (100) and an outer frame (10) that surrounds these units. Each of the plurality of filter units includes a pleated filter medium and a frame body that supports the filter medium. Both of the outer frame (10) and the frame body are resin members. The filter units (100) are integrated into a single unit by welding their frame bodies adjacent to each other, and the outer frame and the frame bodies are integrated with each other by welding.

Abstract: A rotor (21) is an interior permanent magnet rotor formed of a rotor core (24) in which a plurality of permanent magnets (25) are embedded at predetermined intervals. First protruding portions (26) and second protruding portions (27) are formed on an outer peripheral face of the rotor, the first protruding portions (26) each opposing the vicinity of a central portion of each of the permanent magnets and having a substantially arc-shaped cross section protruding outward and the second protruding portions (27) each opposing the vicinity of an end portion of each of the permanent magnets and protruding outward. One first protruding portion and two second protruding portions correspond to one permanent magnet. The formation of the first and second protruding portions as described above on the outer peripheral face of the rotor makes it possible to sufficiently reduce the torque ripple and the noise caused by the distortion of air-gap magnetic flux distribution.
