Patent number: 4625468Abstract: Significant, life-saving protection from airborne, radioactive (fallout) particles due to nuclear explosions, nuclear reactor accidents, and other releases of radioactive particulate is provided by a double-wall tent structure quickly erectable over a central bench or hole. The tent structure includes tightly woven, rip-resistant fabric panels supported by tensile rods or wands, a tub floor extending into and lining a central trench or hole, and an exterior, light-reflecting, metalized, semi-transparent disposable membrane. The bottom circumferential edge of the outer membrane extends into a shallow trench or ditch, excavated around the perimeter of the inner tent structure. Dust particles settling onto the smooth exterior surface of the membrane slide off and are captured in the shallow ditch, thus minimizing direct or indirect radiation into the central trench or hole and its occupants.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 1983Date of Patent: December 2, 1986Inventor: Viktor E. Patent number: 4618938Abstract: An automatic semiconductor wafer inspection system including a wafer inspector, a system computer that performs movement and function control and data storage functions and a high speed image computer. Patterned wafers selected for inspection are automatically transported from cassette storage to a vacuum chuck located on the X-Y stage and positioned in a macro inspection station. The wafer is aligned and the surface illumination is changed to test for macro defects under different lighting conditions and levels of magnification. The reflected light is applied to a camera where the optical image is converted to an electrical representation thereof, stored, and then processed by the high speed image computer. After a wafer has been positioned and inspected in the macro inspection station at low magnification, it is moved by a macro-micro transport arm to the micro inspection station and a unique image previously found in the low power image is found again and used for initial alignment.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1984Date of Patent: October 21, 1986Assignee: KLA Instruments CorporationInventors: Paul Sandland, Curt H. Patent number: 4609986Abstract: An electrically programmable, eraseable and reprogrammable, monolithic integrated circuit logic array device is disclosed. The device includes a plurality of three types of logic array macrocells, each including an AND array matrix of EPROM transistors configured to form a plurality of "product terms" which are fed into another matrix comprised of "OR" gates, the outputs of which form sum-of-products expressions of the inputs to the AND arrays. Also contained in the macrocells are simple EPROM transistors which, when combined with other appropriate circuitry, form control elements, a plurality of storage registers (D flip-flops), feedback drivers, input drivers and output drivers, all integrated on the same substrate. The input drivers and feedback drivers provide input signals to the AND arrays and the outputs from the D flip-flops can be directed to either the feedback drivers or the output drivers.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1984Date of Patent: September 2, 1986Assignee: Altera CorporationInventors: Robert F.
