Abstract: A method for swing training particularly suitable to golf and sports employing a similar power swing is disclosed wherein preferably pliable body spacer objects such as balls of varying sizes, weights, and pliability are placed between a limb and another body surface to restrict movement of said limb wherein specific muscles groups are stretched and trained while imitating swing motion to induce muscle memory. A lightweight ball of at least 25 cm. diameter is placed between the thighs and a smaller ball, e.g. a medicine ball of about 10-25 cm. diameter is gripped between the elbows. Also a ball or other object may be gripped under an armpit.
Abstract: A dough sheeting system having a cutter assembly for pulling and cutting elongated chunks of dough from a hopper containing dough is disclosed. A receiving surface is disposed beneath the cutter assembly. A motor advances the receiving surface in a direction of dough feed. A calendar assembly receives dough output by the receiving surface and outputs a sheet of dough. A level sensor monitors the height of accumulated dough at the input of the calendar assembly and produces a signal when the input exceeds a predetermined level. The motor is responsive to the signal from the level sensor to stop advancing the receiving surface when the level exceeds the predetermined level. A movement sensor monitors the advancement of the receiving surface to actuate the cutter assembly to pull and cut a chunk of dough when the surface has advanced a predetermined distance from the position at which the surface was positioned when a prior chunk of dough was delivered to the surface.

Abstract: The optical touch probe has a first target at the distal end thereof on the contact element in a standard probe. The probe is mounted to a video camera of an optical coordinate measuring machine to image the target on the camera. Movement and position of the target in the X and Y coordinates is indicated by the machine's computer image processing system. A second target is mounted to the proximal end of the probe and indicates movement and position in the Z coordinate. The second target may obscure a photodetector, but preferably is parfocused on the camera by light beam parallel to the X,Y plane. Preferably there are two second targets illuminated by orthogonal beams parallel to the X,Y plane. Rotation around the Z axis then may be calculated by the computer when star probes are used. Auto changing racks are also disclosed for holding multiple probes, a probe holder, and lenses for selective mounting on the camera.

Abstract: A distributed processing unit which permits easy modification of set data that has been written in a memory (19) of a coin mechanism (1) which constitutes a processor without the use of special terminals. When set data settings stored in the memory (19) of the coin mechanism (1) are to be modified, the coin mechanism (1) is disconnected from a signal line (8) from an automatic vending machine controller (2) at a connector (9), and a computer (50) is connected to the connector (9). In this state, the program routine of a CPU (11) in the coin mechanism (1) is modified by special instructions transmitted from the computer (50), thus permitting the contents of the memory (19) of the coin mechanism (1) to be read out by the computer (50) and the set data in the memory (19) to be rewritten by operation of the CPU (11).
Abstract: A dough sheeting system comprising a cutter assembly for pulling and cutting elongated chunks of dough from a hopper containing dough is disclosed. A receiving surface is disposed beneath the cutter assembly. A motor advances the receiving surface in a direction of dough feed. A calendar assembly for receives dough output by the receiving surface and outputs a sheet of dough. A level sensor for monitoring the height of accumulated dough at the input of the calendar assembly and for producing a signal when the input exceeds a predetermined level. The motor is responsive to the signal from the level sensor to stop advancing the receiving surface when the level exceeds the predetermined level and is responsive to the signal when the height is reduced.
Abstract: Lens connector for optical through-connection of light guides, which comprises two lens connector halves whose frontal faces face one another. The lens connector half (1) comprises a coupling housing provided with an internal space open at the front and rear of the coupling housing and with an optical system housed in the front-most portion of the internal space. The end of the light guide is fastened in the rearmost portion of the internal space (22). In the one lens connector half the light beam emanating from the guide fastened therein is widened by the optical system (24) and in the other lens connector half the received light beam is focused, by the optical system housed therein, onto the light guide associated therewith.
Abstract: A distributed processing unit which permits easy modification of set data that has been written in a memory (19) of a coin selector (1-1) which constitutes a processor. A computer (50) is connected to a connection line that connects the memory (19) and a CPU (11) of the coin selector (1-1), and to a mode terminal of the CPU (11), signals applied to the mode terminal of the CPU (11) prohibit access to the memory (19) by the CPU (11) and enable direct access to the memory (19) by the computer (50) so that the set data in the memory (19) can be overwritten under the control of the computer (50).
Abstract: A mass spectrographic method and apparatus provide simultaneous quantification of multiple target species of gaseous neutral particles that may be laser sputtered from a sample. The invention employs non-resonant multiphoton ionization of the target species with a high intensity laser beam propagated toward a given extraction volume from which volume ions are withdrawn for quantification. In preferred embodiments, the given volume is defined by an acceptance aperture and a transverse energy acceptance interval which is itself defined by energy discrimination of the ions into bunches with a novel ion mirror. An inventive embodiment of ion mirror has four grids at different spacings and potentials with a second grid away from the acceptance aperture having a potential just below a third to separate out an undesired, low-energy ion bunch. Curves for simultaneously quantifying Ta.sup.+ ions with Ta.sup.++ ions are shown.

Abstract: The distance sensor for projectile fuzes, according to the invention, employs a range finder (6', 17, 25, 27) operating on the principle of pulse propagation time. The signal (18) is radiated by an antenna (4, 5') and the portion (18') reflected by the target is also received thereby. From a pulse (17') derived from the transmitter pulse and delayed in time by a definite amount in the delay member (19), one obtains the receiver sampling pulse (20). This pulse is used to sample the portion (18') and the resulting low-frequency representation of the receiver pulse is passed through a low-frequency amplifier (21) and a band-pass filter (44).
Abstract: The invention relates to the provision of software with fault tolerant capabilities enabling computer networks to survive or tolerate most individual failures, short of system wide catastrophes such as earthquakes, without loss of data and without loss of access to working data.
