  • Patent number: 7674264
Abstract: A surgical appliance for assisting in the repair of a fractured bone, such as a scaphoid bone, is disclosed. The device includes first and second adjustably interconnected and spaced apart limb clamping jaws that are transparent to x-ray radiation and are relatively movable toward and away from one another and a rotatable disk carried by the first jaw, said disk having a plurality of bores angularly disposed in the disk for selectively aligning a guide wire to be drilled percutaneously into the fractured bone. Each of the bores are in communication with the space between the first and second jaws and the longitudinal axes of said bores are directed to a common point intermediate the first and second jaws.

  • Patent number: 7621010
Abstract: A dental chair overlay is used for opening a patient's airway. The dental chair overlay has a body support and a head support. The body support has a superior end and dorsal and ventral surfaces. The distance between the dorsal and ventral surfaces define a thickness of the body support. The head support is attached to the superior end of the body support. The head support has dorsal and ventral surfaces. The distance between the dorsal and ventral surfaces define a thickness of the head support. The thickness of the body support is greater than the thickness of the head support, such that the airway of a patient lying on the dental chair overlay is urged open.

  • Patent number: 7618055
Abstract: The present invention relates to a diaper changing station in connection with a stroller. The diaper changing station is attached to the stroller. When stored, the changing station does not detract from the appearance of the stroller. The changing station may be opened for use. The changing station is formed of a waterproof material for easy cleanup. In one embodiment, the changing station includes a bed and frame which are folded and stored below the seat of the stroller. The frame extends the bed from between the legs of the stroller to create a surface for the changing station. In other embodiments, the seat of the stroller is formed of multiple parts which are convertible from an upholstered seat to a changing station.

  • Patent number: 7561056
Abstract: A bottoming indication system indicates contact between an inner wall of a fluid conducting conduit and a tip of a differential pressure measuring probe. The system includes a piezoelectric device and an indicator. The piezoelectric device is affixed to the tip of the differential pressure measuring probe so that pressure exerted on the piezoelectric device by contact between the piezoelectric device and the inner wall of the conduit produces a voltage difference across the piezoelectric device. The indicator is in electrical communication with the piezoelectric device so that a voltage difference across the piezoelectric device activates the indicator to indicate contact between the inner wall of the conduit and the tip of the differential pressure measuring probe.

  • Patent number: 7557629
Abstract: A system and method for generating a pulse stream are disclosed. A ramp signal is generated. The ramp signal is compared with a Time of Transition signal to produce a result indicative of the comparison. Responsive to the result of the comparison, the pulse stream signal is output. The result of the comparison instructs the selector whether to maintain the current output pulse stream signal or replace the current output pulse stream signal with a Polarity signal.

  • Patent number: 7542315
Abstract: A voltage signal rectifier produces a rectified voltage signal from an input offset voltage signal. The voltage signal rectifier includes input offset, output, and reference nodes, two actively controlled current regulation elements (ACCREs), and two controllers. The input offset node is coupled to the input offset voltage signal. The rectified voltage signal is generated onto the output node. The reference node is coupled to a reference voltage for the input offset and rectified voltage signals. The ACCREs are coupled to the input offset node and one of the ACCREs is coupled to the output node. Each controller is configured to control the one of the ACCREs so that the ACCRE coupled to the output node allows current flow through it when the input offset voltage signal is higher than the rectified voltage signal and the other ACCRE is configured to allows current flow through it when the input offset voltage signal is lower than the rectified voltage signal.
