Abstract: An apparatus for improving vision including an intraocular lens, haptics extending outwardly from a periphery of the intraocular lens, a first anchor connected to the haptics and a second anchor connected to the haptics so as to position the intraocular lens in the anterior chamber of a cornea. Each of the first and second anchors is implanted into the cornea or into the sclera adjacent to the cornea. The intraocular lens has a truncated circular shape.

Abstract: An integral evaluation method for a complete numerical gauging of work pieces includes building an integral objective as a polynomial composed of two different objective groups and multiplying each group of the objectives with different free adjustable weighing parameters. The objective groups are Chebychev objectives group and a least-squares objectives group. The free adjustable weighing parameters include all prescribed connections between the elements with a tolerance requirements according to a drawing of the elements and a weighing of the elements.

Abstract: A joist assembly having a top chord with a slot formed therein, a bottom chord with a slot formed therein, and a tubular member of serpentine configuration having an upper portion received within the slot of the top chord and a lower portion received within the slot of the bottom chord. The tubular member extends between the chords so as to maintain the chords in parallel spaced relationship. The chords are formed of a length of cold roll-formed steel. The tubular member is of a single length of square tubular steel.

Abstract: A water heater includes an exhaust hood, a heat exchange module, a main heat valve and a control valve extending downwardly in turn between a case and a plate. Inlet and outlet heads are installed on the two sides at the end of the hot water pipes respectively. Holes are punched on the case and the plate correspondingly to connect intake heads with water supply pipes going through the plate. The outlet head goes through the case and the pin connects with one water-intake hose directly. The control valve has one gas valve, one control switch and one water plate. The gas inlet of gas valve is connected with a gas can. Two pipes are installed on the water plate, which are pin connected with the intake head of the heat exchange module. With low flow capacity, the temperature of hot water output can be adjusted for direct use by a human body without mixing cold water.

Abstract: A folder includes a board with one or more folding marks provided at the central position. The folding mark can separate the board into two folding panel boards. And, a folder body is provided at the inner face of a panel board adjacent to the folding mark, where a folder will take shape to hold the documents. The board is made of multi-layered sheets, with its middle layer including one or more foamed plastic layers. And, two plastic surface layers are attached to the surfaces of both sides of the middle layer. Thereupon, it is possible to enhance the ruggedness of the folder 20, reduce the manufacturing cost and offer more chromatism and diversity.

Abstract: A control structure is fastened with a housing of the electronic machine or the like for regulating the operation of a cooling device which is contained in the housing. The control structure comprises a control member and an adjustment member. The control member is fastened to an inner end of a vent of the housing and is provided with a regulating end which is connected to the cooling device for regulation the operation of the cooling device. The adjustment member is pivoted to an outer end of the vent of the housing and is connected with the regulating end of the control member. The regulating end of the control member is actuated by the adjustment member in motion. Both the control member and the adjustment member are fastened with the vent of the housing without obstructing the vent.
